Zian is somewhat of a young man of temperance with a past that sometimes alters his mood. He often proclaims himself as a student of the world, always willing to learn something new. Zian is very loyal to those he trusts even to those who aren't doing what's right in his eyes. However Zian separates himself from those who attack the innocent, take the lives of others, or other injust acts. Zian seeks peace from within, due to his father's sins and his own hatred towards him that often makes him lose his temper. Zian loves to practice his martial arts, it helps him to relieve any stress pinned up inside of him. He also practices it because he wants to stay at his best. Aside from martial arts, Zian also takes notice in the world around him by capturing it.. By doing this, Zian will sit down and draw a portrait of the world around him as he sees it at that very moment. Zian also loves to enjoy a good laugh and play various outdoor games with the locals around the different cities and towns he visits.

-Abilities-
Zian comes from a family known for their elite fire bending and from this known fact, Zian is an excellent fire bender. He has been one since a very young age and has pretty much mastered the element, but he feels like there are still many secrets to fire bending that he wants to learn. Zian is also skilled in hand to hand combat, he was also trained in this area of his skills since a child. Zian often relies on his hand to hand combat, loving a good fight from time to time without using bending. Also fire bending has brought so much pain into his life, so Zian tries to refrain from using it unless is it necessary.

-Appearance-



At the young age of 20, Zian already has the face and physical look of a warrior. Zian has an athletic build and seems to be in excellent shape, being that he trains all of the time. He has the battle scar over his right eye, given to him by his father. His black hair is wild, with a spiky appearance due to his travelling. His eyes are colored red. Zian wears an old black and red Fire Nation traveling robe, baggy black silk pants, a pair of black and red boots. He is also known to wear a conical hat made of bamboo. Over his shoulder, Zian is usually carrying a long, rough looking, tan sack with all of his belongings inside, such as money, clothing, food, drawing utensils, a picture of his mother, and different maps of the regions around the world.

-History-
Zian Wu was born in the city of Caldera, of the Fire Nation. His family were known as elite Fire Benders and were loyal servants to the Fire Lord. His father Sheng Wu, was a known commander in the Fire Nation militia while his mother, Jun Wu was a teacher in the city and was also a Fire Bending instructor. As a child Zian was trained in hand to hand combat by his father and Fire Bending by both of his parents, mainly his mother. Zian didn't like what his father represented and tried to influence him to use his Fire Bending for. Sheng wanted his son to be just like him, a cold blooded, heartless, warlord. Jun taught her son Fire Bending the way she has learned and her ancestors have learned, by teaching him the life giving qualities of Fire Bending and not using it to take a life. As he grew older Zian became a soldier in the Fire Nation military, working alongside with his father. His father was hard on Zian, due to his fearing reputation and he would not accept anything but the best. Also Sheng wanted his son to be just as ruthless as he was. One day while the Fire Nation were out invading a city, Sheng ordered his soldiers, including his son to show no mercy towards the civilians in the city and killing them. Zian disobeyed his fathers commands and let every civilian he came in contact with live.

He even warned them of his father's possible attacks. Zian would keep doing this until a fellow soldier informed Sheng on what his son had been doing. Sheng was outraged at his son's actions and challenged his son to an Agni Kai for dishonoring the Fire Nation. Out of anger, Zian accepted his father's challenge and faced him. The two fought vigorously, with Zian's fire bending skills over powering his father's due to his mother's style and teachings outmatching his father's brute and anger powered fire bending. Zian had his father on his knees, waiting to be killed but Zian spared him, by turning his back away from him. This was a big mistake by Zian, as his father used this moment to attack again. Zian turned around, but he was too late as his father used a fire dagger to attack him. The attack made contact with Zian's face, burning him severely. Luckily a soldier stopped Sheng from attacking Zian anymore, ending the Agni Kai. Once Zian got home, Jun rushed to his aid. Zian's eyes had been burned so bad that he was now blind. His face had been severely burned. Not knowing who else to turn to, Jun secretly took her son away to the Northern Water Tribe. Jun was friends with a healer in the Northern Water Tribe. She would here seek help from her friend, who was glad to aid her friend.

Using sacred water from the Spirit Oasis. The water healed Zian's face and cured his blindness, changing his eyes from brown to red, but the mark of his father's horrifying attack was still on his face as the form of a thin red scar. Zian was forever in the Northern Water Tribe's debt telling them that if they ever needed him he would be there. Upon returning back to Caldera, Sheng learned of his wife's disappearance and had her framed as a traitor to the Fire Nation and killed her. Fueled from anger, Zian, this time challenged his father to another Agni Kai. This time Zian wasn't as merciful as he was before and killed his father in the Agni Kai. Because he had murdered his father, Zian's mind was in a complete wreck. Tired of those who do right suffering for those who do wrong, Zian decides to wander the world to discover peace within himself and then share it with the world, promising to his mother that he would do his part to restore and maintain peace around the four nations.
