Personality: Izumo is passionate, driven, and extremely negative. He absolutely loves to point out the flaws in something, even if it was he who designed it. Despite his unusual position and frequent taunting by his peers, Izumo is honored to carry the name Kyoshi with him. Izumo is courageous, and forthright in all aspects of his life.

Abilities: Izumo was trained to redirect his opponents power using technique rather than strength, this ability has proven extremely effective against many foes, and he has yet to be beaten by anyone aside from his fellow warriors. Izumo is also handy with polearms, and can throw spears of varying sizes up to 300 feet accurately.

Izumo is a competent fighter and leader. He is loyal and will sacrifice himself if it means keeping his friends out of a bad situation. Of course, he has never had need to stay behind while everyone else escaped. Izumo will, under no cicumstances, betray his allies. Izumo typically wears casual Earth Nation clothing, but can be found in Kyoshi Battle Gear when he trains new members, or when he actually knows a fight is coming. Izumo usually has his hair tied back in a ponytail, but leaves it down if the mood strikes him.

History: Izumo was born, and raised on Kyoshi Island. Though his friends made fun of him for it, Izumo has always aspired to being a Kyoshi warrior. Izumo spent most of his time watching the warriors training, and mimicing their routines in the privacy of the mountains on the island. It was difficult. Even his parents were worried about him, especially when he began training with them. Their inhibitions melted away as their son went from an untrained, unmotivated boy, to a brave, noble, and ambitious man. On the occasion that his training was 'complete', he was named an official warrior, a prize Izumo saw as unmeasurabley valuable. Izumo has spent his life devoted to training new warriors, and encouraging everyone to get involved. "You don't have to be a girl to be a Kyoshi warrior.", he would say.
