The Royal Privilege

Kaji had finally left home and there was nothing more that he wanted then to live the life of Royalty. He knew there were many obstacles to get past if he wanted that and the first thing he would do is to serve the Fire Lord. Fire Lord Shula was working on a peaceful way of doing thing's but for some reason Kaji wondered that she had a secret, a secret that could break her down.

She had responded to the letter he sent her via bird saying that she would like to meet him in person, this was his chance. He nodded to the carriage driver as he stepped out his seat throwing his sack over his back. He had decided to wear his best Red and yellow robe since this was a special occasion. He normally did not care about his untidy frizzy hair but he threw some oil's in and tied his hair in a knot.

He made his way to the palace entrance. The Palace was huge there were so many way's he could describe it. Bowing before the guard's that stood in his path, he reached into his pocket pulling out the Fire Lord's letter and respectfully showed them her handwriting. They moved out his path signalling for him to walk through.

I'm sorry, Kaji, but you must first have your character application approved before joining a plot or Rping. And while you're at it, be sure you look at the Rules and Regulations, since I suspect you have not.

Shula Njoo	As Shula held a meeting with the War Council--who were yet again pushing for a more violent approach to a better economy--the doors opened to the War Room, and little Mei Li walked in to tell Shula that Kaji had arrived. Yes, Shula knew of him well; he'd sent her a letter, wanting to serve in the Palace. She'd responded with a question of meeting when he wished; it would appear that now was the cause. She cut across Jinsai, one of the Admirals, excusing herself from the meeting. The War Council looked annoyed, but she met with them daily. They could handle a meeting cut short. She headed out to the entrance of the Palace where she was told Kaji had arrived, straightening her kimono as the doors to the grand foyer opened, revealing the image of Kaji already stepping inside. She gave him a polite smile and hailed him in a friendly manner. "Hello, Mr. Kaji; what a delight to meet you," she said calmly, her face and demeanor polite but hardly anything more than that. She held out a hand for him to shake, although she herself preferred the Water Tribe method of gripping a fellow man's forearm. "Shall we discuss matters on the patio over a nice cup of tea?" she continued, knowing that it was probably best to go to the Throne Room, but she sometimes hated being there and wanted some fresh air.

Kaji gave her a quick glance then kept his head held low as he bowed down at her feet pressing both his knee's to the ground. ''Its very nice to meet you also Fire Lord Shula.'' He looked up as she held out her hand for a shake, in respect he shook her hand and rose up to his feet. He nodded in agreement as she asked if he would like to have some tea on the patio.

''That would be very nice.''

He seemed to keep his face straight showing no emotion even though he normally would look very aggravated.

Shula Njoo	Shula nodded, turning on her heal and not looking to see if he followed as she headed out to the patio. One of the interns of the lead chef was there, putting down a plate of sweets, noodles, and a pot of finely brewed tea. Shula indicated for Kaji to take a seat first, before she sat down. Both chairs were the same, neither better looking than the other, nor was one higher. Shula was all for treating everyone equally, and did so best by providing no reason for them to grovel. Of course, for someone who wanted to work in the Palace, he would have to address her as Fire Lord or Lady Shula at all times.

Kaji caught onto Shula and begun to follower her up to the patio. The cook that came put down a variety of delicacies such as noodles and tea. He nodded to Shula and took a seat in one of the chair's across from her. He cleared his throat, rested his hands on the table, and looked at her with respect.

'' Lady Shula I have request to serve you in your kingdom. I first requested to be a servant which I have no problem doing but...with the level of my skill's It would be an honor to be one of your guard's or anything else you had in mind to.''

Shula Njoo	Shula immediately prepared herself a cup of the fine tea, stirring in a small spoonful of honey and sipping it carefully, as it was still hot. She then looked over at Kaji, with an eyebrow raised as he began to speak. She set down her half-filled cup as he finished. "You appear to be confident in your abilities. What level of skills do you mean? Firebending, weaponry, or others? As you very well know, I do not just allow anyone to come into my Palace and immediately stand guard--not after what happened with Novai. I mean no disrespect, but you would have to work your way up to Palace guard, if that is what you seek other than a servant. If you wish for something else, speak now, so that I may provide you with proper instructions of achieving what you like." She spoke calmly, her voice rhythmic and full of sincerity.

He smiled with his back raised. The Fire Lord was beautiful her hair glistened and her face was as pretty as an angel. It was hard not to stare into her eyes.

''Yes mam I understand greatly what you mean. I am an expert Fire Bender and a Wing Chun expert. What a truly desire my lady is protect you, there are to many threat's. The last letter I sent to you I spoke of opening a Wing Chun Warrior Academy. Back to my Fire Bending ability I was able to mix my Wing Chun ability into my Fire Bending skill.'' He spoke with great confidence knowing that this was what he wanted.

Shula Njoo	Shula took a moment to think before replying; "Yes, true. The idea for the school is a fine one; the same idea has crossed my mind a multitude of times, so that all may be educated instead of just firebenders. My main concern in this is allowing someone new to run an entire school; the possibilities for corruption are endless, and my reluctance has nothing to do with you personally. Why, if the head of my guards came to me with the same request, I would most likely deny him." Shula did not regret a word she said; she was not liking the idea of placing the job of molding new, young minds into someone's fancy into a stranger's hands.

He cleared his throat and spoke. ''Yes My Lady I understand that perfectly that is why I shall prove my loyalty first. Even if you decided I could even merrily be the trainer and not the owner. I understand were you are coming from I'm just a complete stranger with no document's of proof. Their is something I would like to do, I request to face your head Guard in an Agni Kai to prove my ability.'' He lowered his head in respect.

Shula Njoo	Shula shrugged, although she thought she'd clarify something. "My head guard would be denied because I do not trust him enough to lead a school of young, impressionable minds. Not because he is not skilled enough to train them; if I place my life in his hands daily, what makes you think I'm going to allow you the opportunity to mold the youth of the Nation to your liking?" she said. "His name is Ngyuen, and I have no doubt he will accept your challenge, though. Beware, for he is a master though." she said before standing, and going to the patio door. A maid stood by the door, awaiting Shula's next command. She asked the girl to go fetch Ngyuen, then resumed her seat as the two waited for her head guard.

Kaji thought it was a little rude to challenge the guard knowing that it had really nothing to do with it. ''Excuse my rudeness.'' He sat there with his back straight as she got up then a minute later came back and took a seat. Ngyuen was his name and he was a master, that would be difficult. Kaji crossed his finger's on the table now more interested in meeting him.
