Such sweet R and R

A bit of hiking brought the wandering giant to Ba Sing Se in no search, but in hopes of a small reprive from wandering. Rarely staying in one place too long, he had grown accustomed to hsi travels, yet it was always nice to have someone to talk to, and what better place than the large bustling city behind that great wall. And more importantly, a nice bath that he longed for without worry of things trying to eat him.

Clay did not have the paperwork to enter the vast city, nor did he have he knowledge of needing paperwork just to enter, so when he came to the entrance of the great wall, him being stopped by the shorter men caught him off guard.
" Did I do anything wrong?" Clay asked in slight confusion, stopping to show he meant no harm.
" No, not at all. We just need to see your papers." One of the guards said, though with him looking up to Clay, it made the guard nervous and kept him on his guard.
" Papers?" Clay asked in response as the other guard came to clarify.
" Just the simple identification papers. You do have papers, do you not?"
Clay shook his head to the guard, looking around. " Do you know where I have to go to acquire these papers? I'm kind of new to this whole paperwork thing..."

Trying to get in, Clay spotted a way in. A nice visitor who seemed to have such ease of access, he couldn't pass this up. " Wait, there's my friend!" He called to her, rushing from the guards to her side to try to sway her to help him." Hey, if you help me, I'll give you anything you want. Name it, it's yours." He whispered to him, hoping to have her aid in getting in.

" Trust me, I have plenty of ways to make it worth your effort, I just don't know what they mean by paperwork and I don't know where to get it. If you help me get in and find how to get what i need, then I can help you get anything you want, just name it." Still trying to bribe her, he checked back at the guards, who looked at them suspiciously. He knew nothing of nobility, from manners to political matters, but he would not turn down some sight seeing at any cost, and hopefully she would help him with this delimma.

" You're a life saver." He whispered to her, walking with her as the guards gave the okay to them. Though he wanted to go inside, outside was a fine start. And even better, he was with company now. " Thank you a thousand times. How can I ever repay you?" He asked, wondering what such a woman would ask of him. She looked the part of someone who was well off, and he looked like a raggity street rat who'd be swiping what he could get his hands on. Even bandits had pride. Well, not many of them

As they started from the gate and along her way, he had no idea where she was leading him. Maybe she wanted to sight see outside of the walls for once, and who could blame her. Clay couldn't take living in one place for too long, that would be near impossible for someone who loved to travel like him." If I may ask, where are we going?" He asked, though not really in a position to ask questions. He didn't know what kind of position he was in actually.

" Hmmm, good places?" He asked himself in return. He had to think for a second, what was nearby and worth the time it would take to get there? " Have you ever played whack a prairie mole? If not, then I have the place for you. Or we can go see the great sand falls. There's a number of places, and these are just within walking distance of a few moments from here."

Sounding like a tour guide, he stopped himself and smiled down towards her. " Say, you wouldn't happen to want me to escort you round as payment, would you? I can do that easily if you're asking it of me." Then he remembered, he didn't get her name, nor did he give his. He hurried himself in front of her, bowing in a funny manner to greet himself. " I am the great wanderer of the saaaaAAAHH!" He stopped his talking, falling over into the sandy ground and roll landing on his back as he looked up at her. " Just...call me Clay."

Not Ba Sing Se? Did she not want to stay confined behind those city walls? She sounded like a regular wanderer who was trapped for too long in one place, a bird who was caged. How could he not fulfill her request? " That I can do. Though, why do you not like Ba Sing Se? I came to sight see through it a bit, I'd hate to have walked all this way just to turn around and walk away. I at least want something that would be worth it." He said with a sly grin, thinking about where they would go from there. " Ahh, let's think about things later. How about we take a stop at that traveler's rest stop for a bit? I haven't eaten today and all."

Clay walked her in as he grabbed a sandwich, something to hold himself over. " He took it to go, not wanting to keep her waiting as he took her hand. " We'll continue your tour, but are you sure you're well packed? You might need a water canteen. I have one on me just in case, you know, it's the desert and all."

Starting to eat his sandwich, he began to lead the way and show her around, starting with a fun spot he went to for whack a prairie mole. " This way then, Sadako. I'll give you such a tour. Have you ever used a mallet before?"

" You will see. For now, let's get rolling. It isn't much further." He said as he had escorted her to where the prairie moles played. And when he said it wasn't much further, he was talking about it being an hour and a half trot through the sands. " Sooo, have plans on going back by nightfall? If so, then I think it's best to make this our only stop for today. Besides, it's always better to travel at night in the desert anyways."

" The desert at night? Well, it is a beautiful sight to behold. I will have to help you enjoy it. But it sure does get cold, so when the sun starts to go down, we'll set up a fire okay?"

Their walk lead them to a small cottage, which looked like it was in business since there were a few touring people there. What did they come for, you ask? Well, that's a fun event, the prairie moles would be out and about. " Ahh, there it is. Come on, let's hurry!" Clay said, taking her hand and rushing her towards the small line of people. From where they were, they could see the round about spectacle of the prairie games, people lining up with padded mallets for safe fun without hurting the critters as they swung at the prairie moles as soon as they would poke their heads out from the ground. It looked fun, and even more so were the random special creatures that would happen to poke their heads up as well. There was always a prize for catching the special golden one, but the sucker was fast, and with it's mild manner of earth bending, it was also crafty. " Keep on your toes. Sometimes they have ditches ready, and I've fallen into a few."

" Yeah. I wish it was so easy." As their turn came up. both were given a soft cushion covered mallet and, wouldn't you know it, the first step he took inside to lead her in was a hole, and down the large man fell. Landing, he stared for a good second as one of the prairie moles poked his head out right before him. With a moment of crossing eyes, he reached for it as it ducked under and dodged him completely. " These!" Lunging to his feet, he started racing after them to whack them as they were coming up.

Clay was enjoying in his own way, klutzing about as he swung in a playful manner, making such a bolsterous cheer when he hit one, but they would seem to laugh in return as they kept setting up traps and Clay kept falling into them. But moreso, he was happy she was enjoying herself. Landing, one of the prairie moles hopped onto his head as he looked up at it. " Awww, aren't you a cute thing." Clay said before swinging his mallet up and, as the the thing hopped off, hit himself in the head with it. Thank goodness they were safe proof. " I will get you!" He said, laughing and getting up to chase them again.

Clay had enjoyed spending his time with her while chasing the little things, tiring himself out rather quickly from all the constant falling, jumping, and, well, antics. He sat down and relaxed, enjoying as he watched her have a rip roaring time. Her laughter made him smile and he felt at ease. Heck, even a few of the prairie moles poped up to sit next to him and they looked like they were relaxing with him. He took a calm breath and sighed contently, closing his eyes for a bit.

His eyes opened only sleightly as he took notice of her, and in a returning friendly way he just smiled and closed his eyes again, keeping himself up by his fixed arms against the ground. He wasn't used to this, but it was easy to adjust to it. With the sun continuing to set, Clay gave a bit of a yawn. " Should we go find a place to crash for the night?"

After piecing together her words, he had given a nod and thought about it for a bit. The owner did offer room and board, and the cheapest room had a bed for her and a couch for him. And he was all about saving money, of course. " It's that or we can camp out. What do you think? I have plenty enough for some food as well."

He couldn't necessarily get up at the moment, he was kind of under a few animals and she seemed too comfortable that he couldn't just move suddenly. They weren't in a hurry, they had plenty of time to do nothing, it felt like a wonderful time to be lazy.
