Item Name Appalachian Hammer

Description: A difficult weapon to master, the Appalachian Hammer is nonetheless worth it. It has two main pieces; the hammer and the ball and chain. The hammer is a simple warhammer; weighing about ten pounds, one handed, and made of reinforced steel, it is quite capable of crushing armor and caving bones. The ball and chain is attached to the bottom of the hammer. A ten foot chain, made of welded steel links, is topped with a five pound iron ball. Quarter-inch spikes adorn this ball. Due to the inherent nature of the weapon, the Appalachian Hammer can be both thrown, making it a long range weapon, and swung normally, making it excel in close-range combat. It can be used with metalbending to increase it's power and dexterity.
