Personality: An explorer Jace is a very light footed adventurer at heart. He loves to travel and traverse the land. He is polite if at times a little arrogant, and often doesn't understand the cultures of the world outside the nomadic tribes Of Si Wong Desert. Trade in the desert is more barter based, with conflict being between groups and families. As such concepts like nobility and honor don't mesh well with him. As such he isn't afraid to fight dirty, and in the sand bending nomads tactics like throwing sand into peoples eyes is seen as common place.

He has thus stepped out of his comfort zone with very little too work with. He is fast with his mouth and fast on his feet, but he doesn't use his time to take in the full depth of a situation. Choosing a fly by the seat of his pants life style. Plans are often over looked, if even made, and he can often end up not working well as a team member.

Abilities: Sand bending is a much more fluid fighting style then earth bending. It combines the light footing of wind bending, with the hard hitting of earth bending to bring to life and animate sand and dirt. Jace is capable of moving sand in basic ways with kicks and punches projecting sand upwards too strike a target. He can also harden and sculpt sand for both offensive and defense. (Forinstince putting a small wall of sand up, to block an attack, or hardening the sand he through so that it impacted with greater force.) However these are only the basics of sand bending, and anything more elaborate is currently out of his range. (Later and more advanced techniques being sand tornadoes, sand waves, quick sand traps, hardened cocoons of sand, and hardening sand to the strength of metal.)

Sword play: Even in the desert it is always wise too carry a second weapon. Jace's is a small kukuri sword. The small curved blade is deviously sharp, and Jace isn't new to handling it, but sadly he lacks formal training. When fighting with the blade he relies more on his speed, and instinct than actual skill. Because of this his movements can be unskilled, and wild.

A young teenager of about 14, Jace is still growing even so he has reached the height of 5"4'. His skin is a tanned shade of brown. He grew up in the nomadic tribes of the Si Wong Desert, the hottest and driest place in the world. His clothing reflect this, as he chooses to wear light brown colors, made from lighter materials along with a very long scarf, that he uses too wrap around his entire face. He also has a set of goggles on his head, his hands and feet are wrapped too help avoid harsh sand gusts, but in less heated climates he tends to ditch the wrappings. He has a belt where he keeps both his Kukuri and a water canteen.

Description: A long sleek blade that curves with a distinctive forward drop. It is traditionally a utility tool and blade, effective for chopping and slashing instead of stabbing. It's elongated tip makes it a dull pointed weapon, but it's curve makes sure that it is very effective for hacking motions.

Description: A large water canteen capable of holding 2L worth of water, to a desert traveler who is used to traveling for long periods of time without water, that's a ration of almost 2 days worth.


History: Jace was born in the Si Wong Desert, to one of the small nomadic sand bending tribes. Growing up in the heated arid and more often then not dangerous lands he had to learn to contend with many threats. from a young age he witnessed members of his tribes use sand bending to help fight for their survival, and from the time he was 7 on wards he began his training with sand bending, as well as his side weapon the Kukuri knife which was a gift from his father.

When your a kid growing up in one of the most dangerous places in the world you tend to try and invent your own ways to have fun. For Jace and his friends that way happened to be rather dangerous races with the sand boats. However during a race Jace caused an accident with another boat, that caused not only the complete destruction of two of the most important resources the sand benders have as nomads, but also costed them the life of his elder sister. As such Jace was banished from the desert, and forced to leave the only life he had ever really known. Choosing for himself the life of a nomadic traveler he now seeks to learn more about the world.
