Personality:
Ambrosia is perhaps the loudest girl in the Air Temples. She’s brash, arrogant and generally a little rude. This is all unintentional, however as she doesn’t particularly know better. Despite her tendency to make everyone in the room look at her, Ambrosia is actually very much introverted, and finds most of her pleasure with her inventions. She spends the majority of her time cooped up in her room, surrounded by her weapons and general junk. She has quite the passion for invention, despite the fact that the majority of them don’t work, and when they do she simply leaves them lying around.
Amber is a nice girl, and will help someone in need if she sees them, nevertheless she isn’t very good when thinking about the big picture. For instance, she probably couldn’t name all of the world leaders, because she doesn’t care. Furthermore, if a corrupt leader were to pay her for her inventions, she would see no problem with that. Basically, her only desire is to stay cooped up with her weapons, and occasionally get to use them. Despite the fact most of them are clumped together in a disorganised mess, there are certain weapons she takes great care of. Indeed, Ambrosia is perhaps one of the world’s most knowledgeable people on the subject of taking care of weaponry. She also practices with the weapons she’s most proud of for hours every day, as she feels a weapon is nothing if it isn’t used in the proper manner.
Abilities:
Swordsmanship: Through countless hours of practice, Ambrosia has become an expert swordsman. Her preferred blade is the cutlass, which she often chooses to use two of. Ambrosia is absolutely deadly with them, and she has reached the point where she uses both swords as one, blending her movements together in an odd routine. Only a true master would be able to pick out flaws in her techniques, but they are present nonetheless. With a cutlass, her movements aren’t as quick as other users, but they are quite unpredictable and she’s more than capable of fighting many opponents at once. She adapts her style when using other swords, though. For instance, she’s quicker when using a katana, and much stronger when using a longsword.
Staffs: She is also an expert with a staff. Typically, she will use a bladed long staff, which she will commonly do very much twirling with, as it has proven to disorientate her opponents. When attacking, she will never stop moving, with the intent to slash up her opponent as much as is possible. When using a normal staff, she will typically find some way of flooring the opponent, most likely by sweeping their legs. She can also use short staffs, nunchucks, halberds and tridents.
Thrown projectiles: Ambrosia’s aim is quite brilliant, and she can use a variety of projectiles, such as throwing knives, shurikens, or just rocks. She mostly avoids using these as she favours her crossbow, but is not afraid to use them when it’s needed.
Bow and arrow: Amber hasn’t had much practice with these, but she’s knowledgeable about how they work and is in possession of one. However, she much prefers her crossbow as it requires less work.
Axes: She can hit a guy with these, that’s really about it.
Hand to hand: During her time in the Fire Nation, she got into quite a lot of street fights, and ended up gaining some basic knowledge of how to fight. She doesn’t practice martial arts at all, so her style is very practical. The bottom line is she has quite good fighting instinct.
Blacksmithing: Whilst in the Fire Nation, she was taught the basics of smithing by her father. She took an intense interest in it from an early age and retained the hobby even after leaving home. As such, she is an expert, and is extremely close to being a master.

Ambrosia has a fairly angular face, which is emphasized by her short hair and pointed nose. This appearance is characterized by a particularly pointy chin, and thin mouth (which is never without a smirk). She doesn’t hold very much “traditional beauty” as she is generally quite flat and sharp, particularly around her rear. Her breasts do have some fullness, but aside from that she’s actually quite plain. She is, however in pretty damn good shape, having quite a bit of muscle all around her body. It isn’t glaring, but she could certainly defeat your average Joe in an arm wrestle. This muscle also allows for a great deal of agility, which means she can pull of some of the more daring maneuvers with her staff.
She’s typically found in long, brown trousers, along with a black leather coat. This coat is not for practicality, and does in fact look completely stupid on her as it’s oversized. However, it hides the massive amount of weapons she has stored on her at any one time excellently. Typically, she will have 4 flintlock pistols on her at one time (she needs four because they’re basically one shot). These pistols are stored in holsters by her sides and on her back, one is on either side and two are on her back, horizontal. Just in front of her side pistols she has a cutlass, both are sheathed, oddly enough. Behind her right pistol hangs a crossbow, and on her left a bag of bolts, designed so she can reach in and grab one fairly easily. On the right of her back, just above the pistols there appears to be a hatchet (albeit a big one), however this is no normal axe. In fact, the handle for this axe is collapsed, and when uncollapsed it turns into a fully-fledged beheading machine. A similar trick has been done with a double ended sledgehammer, which she keeps attached to her belt, behind the crossbow bolts. She keeps one knife in either boot, one knife on her right wrist (designed so she can grab the end with that hand) and a collection of throwing knives hidden on her left forearm. She also carries around a very small bag (appearing to be a purse of sorts) in which she keeps a small bottle of poison, and the antidote. Finally, there is one weapon she doesn’t keep hidden: her bladed staff. She will typically carry this over one shoulder, as it has a strap on it.
However, when she doesn’t need to be practical she will typically wear a dress of some sort. The dresses she wears have to be light, and allow for easy movement otherwise she basically refuses to wear them. Typically, she will either not have shoes on or simply wear thin, light boots. Due to the amount of walking that she does in her bare feet, her feet are quite hardened. Her grey eyes are perhaps the oddest thing about her, a trait she inherited from her mother, whose own mother was an airbender. The grey is really just a dull blue, and is the only sign of her air nomad heritage.

History:
Ambrosia was born in one of the poorer regions of the Fire Nation capital. Her father was a blacksmith, and her mother was a travelling merchant. As one would imagine, her mother was never really home very much, and left the duty of tending to Ambrosia to her father. Around the age of seven, Ambrosia was allowed to play in the streets by her father (who was extremely happy to have her off his hands). She didn’t make many friends, but she sure as hell made a lot of enemies. The poor girl never quite knew why, but none of the other kids liked her very much, this is what led to her introversion. Soon, she stopped going outside very much, something that was soon noticed by her father.
Her father, Hephaestus was a giant of a man, standing at around six feet eight. Nevertheless, he was a gentle person, who knew how it was to be ostracized (though in his case it was because he was so massive). He had to learn for himself how to survive on his own, and he didn’t wish his daughter to have the same fate. As such, he began training her in the basic uses of weaponry, something she took to like fire to oil. He also instructed her on the basics of blacksmithing, as like any father he couldn’t resist passing on his craft. He also decided to instruct her on how to hold her own with just her hands.
Around the age of thirteen she looked deceivingly like a young lad, something her mother was hardly happy about. Having returned from her travels and finally settled down, her mother did what most do, and instructed her little girl on the art of being a lady. However, most of the damage had already been done, and Amber retained many of her more masculine features. Although she did come to appreciate fashion, perhaps more than she would have otherwise. Her training would have continued, had her father not reminded her mother that she was a bit of a tomboy herself. As such, it ceased.
A year later, she felt comfortable enough to start going out again, she even developed a group of friends. What satisfied her the most was that she was still able to school anyone that disliked her. She got into fights even more regularly, as many mocked her for her lack of bending (a trait she inherited from her mother). Being the girl she is, Ambrosia wasn’t very happy with this and took it upon herself to do some serious asskicking. Most of the benders that mocked her were hardly proficient at bending anyway, and given Amber’s newly made knuckledusters what happened shortly afterwards was hardly a fair fight.
At the age of nineteen Amber decided to leave home. She didn’t have much of a desire to explore the world, but she did feel like she needed somewhere to go. She looked in the Earth Kingdom for a while, and never found anywhere that appealed to her. Ba Sing Se was nice, but she was looking for something a little more industrial. Whilst in Ba Sing Se, she heard of an advanced civilization hidden in the clouds. She couldn’t resist searching for it, and set off immediately. As it turned out, it was the Northern Air temple, which she found at the age of twenty. She was soon integrated into the community and set about doing what she did best: Invent cool stuff. Most of them failed, but after a great deal of research she was able to perfect a cannon. Sadly, she was unable to get it out of her room, and just sort of let it sit there. Next, she began taking apart a flintlock pistol she bought in Ba Sing Se, and was soon able to replicate it. She has begun work on more than one barrel, and hopes to perfect it soon. She still occasionally journeys down from the mountain, in order to make sure she’s still as good with her weapons as she was.
