Tatsuya Itou

Tatsuya has a rather odd personality from a person being raised in the wild. Because of his upbringing with the Sun Warriors Tribe he is known to be a rather calm and collective person, but rarely would he get angered or deeply upset over certain things due to his laid back and humorous personality. He can be the mod serious when it comes to fitting or carrying it a specific task making him out to be a tad serious at times as well as stubborn and a bit arrogant, but for the most part at least he's determined. Because of he rarely gets angered or let things bother him he actually becomes the most dangerous when enraged to almost borderline sadistic nature, but it usually takes a lot to really upset him but usually he makes up for it with his comedy.

Tatsuya is also shown to have a bit of a wild-like personality whenever he feels like being reckless at times. This side of his personality branches off from when he was but a child and had a talent of getting into trouble and getting into more than a few reckless fights. Tatsuya's wild nature sprouted fourth during his days hunting in the wild as a child.

Tatsuya is most well-known for his undying loyalty to anyone he's affiliated with. He tries not to complain about a task and carries them out in his own way due to his silly nature. Despite his silly nature he is very willing to die for whom ever he's most loyal to and is willing to put his life on the line for them making him a perfect guard if he ever had a profession like that.

Just like Tatsu's wild personality he's also known to be somewhat of a womanizer during certain situations. Although he's more perverted due to a combination of seeing new women and different clothing although he won't admit it so he can be a bit of a male tsundere.


Tatsu was trained in the way of the original firebending arts at a young age, not only that he was also trained to survive on his own. At around the age of three Tatsu started learning and adapting to the basics of firebending and as well as the basics of swordplay using only dull wooden blades for the time being. Tatsu was always a restless child. Day in and day out he would be training himself until his body would have eventually gave out on him and left him exhausted, and each day he would be awoken in the Elder Chief's house just as a small message to let him know that he was being watched.

As time progressed the young Tatsu continued to vigorously train himself and his skills accordingly so that one day he would be able to join the other trainees through there Coming of Age Ceremony . Of course he would have to wait until he was of the rightful age to do so. For this reason he would have to become more proficient in firebending. With hard work Tatsu was just as good as any of the trained prodigies around him. This is mainly due because unlike prodigies he's naturally gifted in the way of firebending as well for his unusual calm nature.


Firebending: Tatsu has high proficiently in firebending is considered expert class among the ranks. Due to his calming nature and his upbringing he was able to completely balance both power and speed. He can easily summon searing flames around him while also managing the balance. Tatsu's flames burn more differently than that of normal firebenders, besides the color having a more darker color than that of normal fire it also contains a more combustible effect to it making it more intense than that of blue fire, it also possesses a more physical than normal, the reason for his mutation is due to Tatsu's blessing by Ran and Shaw as a mere child.

Survivability : Tatsu has been trained at a young age to survive in various different elements to survive on his own if he was ever able to venture out in the world. He's able to scout for food and use different items to a certain degree prior to their original use. Although he's not as good as the chief he still is able to hold his own.

Swordplay & Close Combat : As Tatsu grew up he was constantly trained within the arts of melee combat, two of which he took great favor in we're hand-to-hand combat and swordplay. Both his swordsmanship and melee style are both unusual to the point where it's almost like a dance, from the way his body moves along with the rhythm.

Heat Control : During Tatsu's firebending training he learned the ability to utilize heat control. Although the technique seems useless to others Tatsu continues to hone in this skill to me somewhat useful like by either drying up the air around him to a certain radius, or by also lowering his own body heat for those within the Sun Warriors who have developed the ability to sense heat.

Dancing Dragon : The dancing dragon is the original bending style used by the Sun Warriors Tribe from generation to generation. Even before Tatsu was trained in firebending he always had to train himself to effectively use the Dancing Dragon, this is the basic style of all his combat and due to his personality he was able to actually make a wilder alternative form of the dancing dragon. Through his training over the years he has invented a more upgraded version of the Dancing Dragon mainly because he was bored.


In terms of looks Tatsu would almost resemble anyone within the Sun Warriors tribe as far the jewelry and skin color goes. He has milk chocolate skin like most within the tribe, but unlike most he doesn't support a warrior's pony tail but instead he has a messy flat top hairstyle along with three spikes at the end. His features consist of his handsome face, friendly atmosphere, and among all of that his perverted demeanor around certain females, although he still uses with a comedic outlet. His amber-colored eyes gives off a rather wild an adventurous glimmer in them; usually this can be seen as mischievous given his personality but usually when he’s not joking around the calming nature always seems to settle in. Also he bears a somewhat large scar over his right eye from a childhood injury, on his right arm he has a purple colored tattoo that goes from the right chest down to his forearm.

Like most Tatsu has a rather athletic body structure from all his years of training. He as a rather toned muscle build while also not being overly bulky like a body builder, he also supports a lean body structure while also being able to remain somewhat agile when the situation needs it. As far as his attire goes he doesn’t wear the usual shirtless loincloth getup most residence within the tribe wears seeing as he remains to be different than the rest. Tatsu is usually seen wearing black trousers with some durable shoes; Tatsu is also usually seen wearing a sleeveless shirt with an orange design going down the middle.

Tatsuya is also known for wearing an assortment of piercing rather he only has four of them two real golden earrings located at the top and mid-center of his ears. Normally Tatsu is wearing black gloves with an iron plate around the back of the hand and wrist for protection, along with that he’s usually seen with two pairs of golden bracelets on each wrist, he also carries two chisa katanas on his but Tatsu’s most prized accessory is the dark orange beaded necklace that hangs around his neck at all times. It has a fire-like symbol at the center; it usually gives off a warm feeling of comfort to him.

Tatsuya wasn’t always the happy-go-lucky person he is today; actually when he was growing up he was always a rather angry problem-child with the constant fights and his literally explosive firebending tactics. Tatsu's upbringing with the Sun Warriors was rather different than the other kids, he was treated like some sort of monster, and the sad part was he basically was just that, a monster. This neglectful development came from the more potent flames that Tatsuya is able to produce at will, the flames can produce a crimson colored fire that far exceed the physical and combustible effect than that of the blue fire at the cost of Tatsu’s vitality. However this isn't a natural development seeing how it’s more of a blessing given to very few people within the Sun Warriors. Tatsuya was raised by the Sun Warrior Chief who took him in after his initial family passed away for unknown reasons. He was always seen differently by others and throughout the city he would hear strange gossips about him causing a strange and unusual fire to burn down everything around killing his original family after only a few minutes. Of course Tatsuya was the only one to survive the fire which caused suppositions to raise rapidly, some cursed at him and others pelted him with stones until he couldn't take much more of it. It was then Tatsuya’s hate most of the people around him, which hate turned into an out of control flame inside, the only person who noticed this and calmed him down was the Elder or otherwise known as the Chief of the Sun Warriors.

A few years later Tatsuya had just started his training within firebending and everything was seemingly well for him, until one day he just happened to be training alone at a particular moment when some trainees who seemed to be both jealous of Tatsuya and afraid because of those flames that he could produce. Blind-sided and confused Tatsuya was violently attacked and beaten with sharp blunt bokutous(Wooden Swords or bokkens) until one happened to cut him on the side. The fight abruptly ended with the elder silencing everything before they could get any more hits in they left leaving a wounded Tatsu behind. Once again Tatsu's anger boiled within him causing his way of bending to be fueled by nothing but hatred. After Tatsuya was attacked his personality started to change as well as both is swordsmanship and bending style started to abruptly change for the worse as he broke the taboo to channel his anger to his bending causing a wild surge of a powerful crimson flame to burst forward. He was only nine when he learned of this flame.

His flames roared wildly against the ground scorching the pavement with burn marks strangely resembling a dragon since Tatsuya was still practicing his own variation of the Dancing Dragon. With the way Tatsu’s vitality began to decrease the training felt like hours had passed as he was nearing his limits, along with the fact that he was bending out of pure anger didn't even seem to bother him anymore he didn't even care if the environment around him was being damaged and this would have continued but the Elder, the one who really served as Tatsu’s only family member arrived. At this point Tatsu was being surrounded by a column of spiraling flames that seemed to engulf the general area of his bending as he danced around the arena. His flawless movements and precise motions as well as fierce to the point where they were almost mesmerizing to the eye almost like you couldn't even tell if he was really angry or not. Fortunately for Tatsu the Elder was wiser than he appeared to be since he could tell the anger in Tatsu’s eyes as well as his movements, he could also tell that with each step he was growing increasingly tiresome due to the properties of the flames that surrounded him. Being the man he was the Elder stepped into the blaze to attempt to quell the Tatsu’s anger with a swift and rather comical blow to the head. Almost suddenly Tatsuya’s flames as well as his anger quickly disappeared and had transformed itself into tears of regret and anguish, what causes Tatsuya’s tears mostly was the fact how critically burned the Elder’s hand was, of course he could still use it but it would however leave scars that would haunt the boy’s mind and normally with damage like this someone would clearly shun Tatsuya or worse since over the years Tatsu had gained a small fear of rejection, but instead of being bashed by his strange power the elder only embraced the young boy in his arms since out of everyone the Elder was most worried for the well-being of young Tatsu.


Years had passed since that day when Tatsuya first discovered the powerful bending art he could accomplished. Since that faithful day Tatsuya started to change himself for the better, for starters he started becoming less distant from others who had originally shunned him before causing him to make friends in the process, with that he also started to change his personality for the better or worse since he started modeling most of his personality after the Elder, some might even say that Tatsuya is too much like the Elder seeing as they are just alike in many ways, an example of his is Tatsuya’s perverted nature and his comical side all came from the Elder, his wild and calmness sprung forth from these thanks to the Elder. Tatsuya’s personality wasn't the only thing that changed over the years; his bending style and swordsmanship had a drastic change since he was fully able to execute the same flawless moves he shown when he first discovered the hidden flames. He also learned the meaning of the flames and why he has it from the Oracle of the Sun Warriors.

The Oracle is like the counselor of the Sun Warriors, they are the source of certain information when needed. When Tatsuya visited the Oracle with questions of the special flame he was able to produce, the answer he had received had surprised him seeing as he had a connection with the dragons. You see when Tatsuya was born he was the symbol of the ceremony for both Ren and Shaw to be saw their blessing onto the unfaithful child, who at this point was Tatsuya. You see when Tatsuya was born he didn't have the warmth of a baby but he was very cold and unmoving. His eyes wouldn't open and he couldn't cry. In order to fix this issue his parents and the chief decided to place him in an altar for the Dragons as an offering. When the dragons emerged from their caves they circled around baby Tatsuya, it was like watching someone perform the Dancing Dragon during the ceremony, and their dance felt like it was slowly bringing life to the small baby as the dragons finished off by breathing the flames of life onto the baby. As the amber-colored fire washed over the shrine. Slowly the baby’s eyes started to open as the flames of life slowly gave warmth to the small body and after a few moments the baby’s eyes were fully opened to show the beautiful colors of amber, this eyes were also the colors shown within their Eternal Flame as well as the symbol of his blessing from Ren and Shaw.

When Tatsuya learned of his origin and of the color of his eyes, but that still didn’t answer his original question about the flames he could willingly emit. The secret to that were the dragons, along with the breath of life they also passed on some of their bending talents to Tatsuya, which was transferred into a more combustible flame in the process. Reluctantly Tatsu only shrugged his shoulders and went off on his own way, it’s not like he really cared, plus he did find out why his eye color is different than others so there’s that.  
Once Tatsuya’s mind was cleared from all distractions he headed up towards the mountain to greet the masters Ren and Shaw like he did every day to thank them for their gift of firebending and for the gift of life they bestowed onto him.


At the age of three and onward they are trained in the arts of bending and weaponry so that they can easily find their desired tool. At the age of five they are trained in the Dancing Dragons movement and then incorporate their movement into weaponry as well, then around the age of sixteen once their ready they are to participate in the ritual to earn their “Rite of Passage”. Their Rite of Passage is pretty simple, what their supposed to do is fight while keeping their flame lit since carrying the eternal flame to Ren and Shaw’s lair would’ve proven to be too easy for them, of course. Weapons were not allowed to be used in the fights or outside of battle, and their only “weapon” they would have is themselves and their bending. When the horn was blown to signify them to begin uproar of flames erupted in the outskirts of the city with Tatsuya in the center of the fry minding his own business being rather aloof at the moment. Of course Tatsuya was targeted by others but he only handicapped himself to using the dancing dragon as a method of dodging the attacks and only going for their flames to cause them to forcibly drop out of the contest. This seemed pretty easy in his head at first, only the problem was that, everyone was gunning for him at once.

Given his current skills he could not possibly dodge all of them at once, even if he could there was a chance that his flame would be extinguished if he attempted this, clearly he was caught in a bind that he could not find a way out. Instead of finding a way to simply avoid them his instinctive had gave him an idea. Tatsuya inhaled a deep breath before swiping his hand over the eternal flame to engulf it in darkness to make it seem like he was snuffing out his own fire before exhaling to release a shockwave of flames from his palm, it was enough of a diversion as well as a perfect tactic to knock everyone around his vicinity to the ground also dispelling their flames in the process, of course this was a huge set back on him since his flame was almost nearly depleted, cursing to himself Tatsuya high-tailed his way towards the shrine of the dragons to present his flame to Ren and Shaw, but as soon as he reached the shrine his flame had completely vanished upon taking his step.

Cursing to himself silently Tatsuya only did the only sensible thing and took his stance in a calming manner. Inhaling and exhaling silently Tatsuya closed his eyes only to be greeted with both Ren and Shaw whom had emerged from their caves as they waited for Tatsuya. Inhaling a deep amount of air two different colored flames appeared in the palms of Tatsuya, one resembled the natural flame that carried the wills of those of the Sun Warriors, while the second held a much darker colored flame that was given to represent the life given to Tatsuya on this day. Suddenly a silence fell over the land as Tatsuya snapped opened his eyes to begin the Dancing Dragon Ceremony with both Ren and Shaw circling him and mimicking his movements as he bended the two separate flames in a simultaneous way that from afar resembled a wondrous dance between human and dragon and to be honest it was quiet a mesmerizing sight to behold especially towards the end when it ended in a glorious spiral of flames witch signaled that Tatsuya had passed his Rite of Passage, when Tatsuya had successfully been accepted unto the ranks of the Sun Warriors he was greeted by the Elder who only embraced him while also taking the moment to give him an amber colored necklace with the fire symbol in the center.


In the present time Tatsuya is now nineteen years of age bored out of his mind as he awaits his call for adventure so that he could realize his dream to explore the unknown world around him.

Small quick breaths escaped him as be took cover from the targets who were quickly approaching the area. Tatsuya clenched his hand around the amber bead necklace, he had to calm down to regain his composure since he knew he only had one chance for this to be executed perfectly without any failure the first time around. Peeping his head out to scan for the area around he noticed the targets in the vicinity of where he was. Licking his lips Tatsuya prepared himself to leap out, "Show time." he told himself as be hurried to the other side of the building. Inhaling a bit and waiting until the targets had passed the building he was behind, Tatsuya sprinted out from behind the building with a certain gleamer in his eyes as he rushed towards his targets in his sight. Suddenly Tatsu dipped down and entered a sliding motion with flames erupting behind him to give him a boost in speed before lifting up his hands to flip the skirts of two unsuspecting girls he had targeted. "OOOH nice."He said as he turned his head away to take a good look at what he had done before smacking his head against a nearby building while at the same time biting on his tongue.
