| OOC NOTE: To keep the post from being too long and kind of annoying, I placed certain parts under spoilers, so it could be a bit more appealing.
Full Name: Allora Kheer Gender: Female Age: 14 Element: Water Birthplace: Southern Water tribe Position: Bender/Civilian/Healer Training: Waterbending (Southern Discipline) [Intermediate] Waterbending (Northern Discipline) [Intermediate] Healing [Intermediate] Hand-to-hand combat [Beginner]
Personality:
- Allora's countervailing personality:
An angled personality that stands upright, in the general direction of 'severe' and overall 'crepuscular', and maybe a little bit free-willing, albeit silent most of the time. Even though she can carry herself in a shining demeanor, washing away all prejudgments that this girl is colder than below Celsius, it wouldn't be odd if she questioned those and their supposed hidden ulterior motives; basically, she's a cynic, and despite this, she has no problem immediately trusting others. A complicated girl, only fourteen, already having some form of insight of the world, showing a lack of wisdom, yet she poses an old soul no one can really understand. Either due to her familial heritage and lineage, or something else no one really can grasp. She’s definitely not giving out information, though. Regardless of whoever it may be, though, she still harbors some kind of respect, despite shedding a different kind of light on those she prefers to not immediately trust.
This is currently, and ultimately, in specific to those of other bending disciplines or nations. It isn't unsure why she generally acts like this, but she's not especially difficult to get along with. She doesn't speak much, trying to be as concise as possible while holding a conversation, and even though she prefers to keep to herself most of the time, she has no problem story-telling her life issues to anyone at all, whatever these life issues may be. Contradictions evidently arise in her differentiating personality, but no one's really sure if she's perpetually insane or just erratic. What those who do come into contact with her do know is, she's an all-around alright girl, despite being somewhat bonkers and seemingly anti-social, even though communicating with others isn't generally a heroic feat for her, but it's still pretty hard to do nonetheless. She doesn't even know where she manages to produce the wherewithal to even speak to someone clearly, or at least minimally tripping on her own words. And let's not forget she gets anxious in pressing moments, like being in crowds or being tempted into something.
She tries to find the logic in everything, even if nothing logical can be excavated from whatever form of evidence -- concrete, wavering, abstract, or both -- is produced and projected.
If you haven't guessed by now, Allora is definitely highly sheltered, and is one work of art. Very, very, very expressionistic and abstract.
Abilities:
- Allora's prowess:
At a young age, Allora didn't really show much proficiency in the bending disciplines. It wasn't until the age of seven that she found out she could kinetically move the flow of water, by pushing and pulling. Immediately afterwards, two overjoyed and somewhat polar opposite parents sent her to train under both the Southern and Northern water bending disciplines, including hand-to-hand combat and healing.
Needless to say, Allora, as a beginner, had the most difficult time using her battle wits (note: barely none) to properly conform to both styles, and hand-to-hand combat. She found healing training, however, to be bliss, and still does to today. Even though she had technical difficulties with bending and hand-to-hand combat, letting herself loose and adapting to them was what allowed her to relatively reach a similar point between all four disciplines she currently learns.
Heading on into intermediacy, her deficiency in the Southern style of waterbending began to show, and she currently lacks the proper resolve to effectively dish out anything potentially lashing. On the other hand, though, her defensive capabilities with the Northern style began to advance slightly more rapidly than the Southern discipline, which was consider a bit strange since she was a born and bred Southerner. Her hand-to-hand combat was also lacking, but in both Southern waterbending and hand-to-hand combat, she was considered intermediate for effort.
As a healer, Allora was exceptional to a certain point, where she decided that advancing too far in her healing studies would place her more physical attributes on a major fault line. As an isolated girl, and having a deeper connection to herself -- and as well as her spiritual self --, it allows her to bring out the healing properties of water much faster than normal. Because of this, aiding the injured with her healing capabilities isn't much of an issue. However, to keep things a bit more balanced, she slowly began to shirk off her duties. She doesn't like having one statistic about her defining over the others.
Lacking the resolve to end things with force is the reason why Allora is so defected from carrying out offensive power.
In retrospect, Allora is horrible at offensive fighting; expect her to defend and think. Tactical at most, she tries to be as evasive and defensive as possible.
Appearance: As a true native to the water tribes, Allora immediately possess very tan skin, very dark. Even though the Southern and Northern poles receive little to no sunlight, her skin is crispy and somewhat radiant, maybe a bit burnt, but soft and elegant to the touch.
Standing at five feet and six inches, rather tall for a girl of fourteen years of age, she generally appears in to wear the traditional water tribe garb; an icy inuit donned over thin layers of cotton fabric, blue and white, and hues of black in color, which usually hide her somewhat stocky build. Probably eats too much fishy cuisine. Gloves cover her clammy hands, and coal colored boots rising past her ankles and up to the middle of her foreleg. Her eyes are slanted and alluring, almond shaped and maybe a little cold to the examinee, especially due to those river blue pools of irises. In contrast, her hair is almost a short bob, very dark in color, with a vertical and straight fringe, and two slanted bangs forward but not over her ears, her ears being adorned with classic and defined light-colored earrings in the spectrum of blue. Her face is round and angular as well. Peculiar to her is an ornate water skin wrapped around her waist.
Additionally, Allora is almost always seen with a small polar bear dog cub, sheer white, almost pallid. It’s usually in her arms or on her head, showing how amiable and loving it is to Allora.
Height: Five feet and six inches Weight: One hundred and forty-six pounds. Eyes: River-Blue Hair: Short bob, with a vertical fringe and slanted bangs forward but not over her eyes. Very dark in color, matching very well with her skin color.
Skin: Deeply tanned. Weaponry & Other Gear:
Item Name Water Skin Materials: White leather
Description: A small pouch, ornate and white in color, with blue and golden intricate designs all over it. Ovular and round in form, it can carry water for Allora for situations when water is scarce and all around unavailable.
History:
- Historical Occurences in the life of Allora:
In the beginning, there was a girl. And then there was another girl, but then she died. It was quite tragic, so we won’t reminisce on that any further. However, we can tell you that young Allora at the time was meant to be the eldest of a pair of twins, but due to a birthing miscarriage, Allora was the only one who managed to pop out unharmed and alive, healthy too.
Allora was born to a highly esteemed noble family of the Southern Water Tribe, highly accounted for spiritualists. But this story isn’t about how her parents were these two wicked mediums, being able to commune with the spirits that decide to take corporeal form into the material plane for whatever reason. This story is about how Allora began her training has a waterbender, why she acts so distant and severe, and how she met her peculiar friend, Jior Ga. Due to being born to such a highly acclaimed family in the South, Allora was very well off, both financially and socially. Her parents, being highly respected “elders”, allowed Allora to share in the limelight and garner the respect that she supposedly “deserved” from those who were particularly “below” her. Allora always saw a lot of people below her, even when they were literally above her – physically or by caste system. Due to her sheltered lifestyle – her parents limited her interaction with many of the kids of the tribe – all she had was herself and the many materialistic items her parents crafted and bought for her to play with.
At the young ages of three to five, young Allora received little to no social interaction with her peers. This began to develop a form of Superior Social Anxiety, in the case where when she would come into contact with one of her peers, she wouldn’t see them as anything else but someone not worth talking to or trusting. As she grew older, her prowess in waterbending – especially healing – began to make itself known. By the age of seven, she found out she had some ability for the discipline, finding out she could kinetically move the flow of water by pushing and pulling, much like the tides the moon creates with its gravitational pull.
Overjoyed parents, lucky to have a bender for a daughter like themselves – why wouldn’t they, they were pretty darn spiritual --, sent her to train in absolutely any discipline even relevant to water; both Northern and Southern styles, hand-to-hand combat, and even Healing, something she immediately conformed to.
Because of her childhood experience, and only having herself to talk to, she was very attuned to her spiritual self, which allowed her to produce Chi through water more steadily, and quickly, allowing the acceleration of healing a bodily injury at a faster rate than most students at her level. This allowed her to bring out the healing properties water possessed at a rate much faster than usual healing, but it's more than likely rivaled by others much like her, if any. However, her training in the Southern Waterbending style and hand-to-hand combat suffered greatly, because she lacked the wherewithal to properly lash out at an enemy. She would always defend, trying to be evasive, and stall to find a definite point where she could land a good blow. Even this failed, as her whips and general attacks with water weren’t always very good.
As her Healing prowess advanced, she soon noticed that she was advancing far too quickly. Therefore, she defected slightly from healing to focus more on Southern Waterbending and hand-to-hand combat. In a few years time, she managed to maintain a more or less same level between Southern and Northern waterbending, yet heavily suffered with hand-to-hand combat. Her healing was also on the same level as her waterbending overall, which allowed her to seem only slightly above average, but not by some astronomical or notable amount.
During her period of training – and even up to now – she spoke very little to anyone, and no one really approached her. She remained herself, and in battle, she also remained calm and serene, calculating and maybe a little aggressive. No one knew if she had a dream, and she really didn’t have much of a dream either. In the mean time, she just felt like she was living just to live. It was unknown why Allora had struggled so much during her offensive discipline training. Being a born and bred Southern citizen, she would have adapted more to the harsh climates and need to survive and defend.
Allora was adventurous for once in her life, though. At the age of twelve, after her training sessions with each of her teachers, she decided to play the rebellious role on stage. Sneaking out of the protective walls of the Southern Water tribe, she felt she needed to take a little trip to see what was beyond there. Due to her several anxieties and fears, she was generally freaking out, wondering just why in the world she would even do such a thing. In her long expedition to the “outside world” – considering how vast the Southern pole was, it was literally a different kind of world outside of those glacial walls for her – she found a lone, sheer white polar bear dog. Allora was very aware the general nature of a mother polar bear dog, who would attack anyone who approached her cubs, Allora was reluctant to come to the small cub’s aid at first.
After a while when no adult polar bear dog appeared, Allora decided it was time to assist the cub, and scooped it up in her arms. Running back to the city, she immediately bonded with the cub after giving it treatment and warming it back up, to a relative and necessary temperature. With the aid of a book on Polar Bear Dogs, Allora somehow managed. For the first time in her life, she had gained a friend that wasn’t just a plush doll. Not exactly a human, but it works.
By the age of fourteen she continued to train, telling herself she wouldn't make another escapade like she did at the age of twelve ever again. That is, unless she has some form of supervision or another person along with her, maybe.
Along with her studies, Allora also took on a position as a Head Healer's assistant, helping warriors of the Southern Water Tribe, and even the Northern Water Tribe, recuperate properly. As an assistant, she usually provided necessary materials and provisions for those in need, and never actually healed. Although it was hands on learning, it wasn't particularly exciting or invigorating. Going against her plan to balance out her physical and support teachings, she took this position out of pure boredom, and lack of anything else to do but read and stare at a never-melting ice wall.
Any kind of conversation posed by the patients entering the Head Healer's hut was immediately met with silence and gestures that helped them understand what they needed to do, where they needed to stay, etcetera. In the mean time, she took this opportunity to expand her knowledge on the human body, mind, and condition, while still staying stagnant in the Southern Water Tribe, along with Jior Ga, with little chance at any actual adventure.

Her stoic stare bore into nothing in specific. Those electrifying river-blue eyes thoroughly examined the scene, velvet white sheets of snow blanketing the landscape, light snow feathers and sparkles, along with drops adding more onto the mass. On the outside, she appeared serene and calm, but knowing herself well, she could feel the panic culminate into a full-on panic attack. It never happened, though, as she willed herself to keep going, toward whatever goal she was reaching in escaping from the Southern water tribe fort for a little “fun.”
Her parents would definitely be angered with her, to the point of possible physical punishment. Only twelve years old, and in nothing else but a fuzzy hooded cloak and baggy pants, along with brown fur boots and gloved hands, she trekked the through the icy tundra. Her breath escaped solid, and then quickly evaporated into a gas and just disappeared. Her eyes darted around, and she could feel her usually soft skin becoming more and more clammy and hard.
Before she knew it, her paranoia kicked in when she heard the faint sobs of something. Eyes wide and alert, stance prepared to defend herself from whatever threatened her being here. Even though she had read that no wild animals threatened the lands for those who left the fort, she was still overtly cautious, turning and trying to keep calm, her breathes raggedy and drawn out.
The sob continued, and then she saw a small loom in the snow, that seemed somewhat fuzzy and unnatural. There she found a physically pallid and sheer white figure hidden by a small blanket of snow. Digging up the snow, what she found was definitely a rare sight; it was a polar bear dog cub. Jumping backward, she remembered the knowledge she absorbed from the various textbooks on native South pole animals, and how Polar Bear Dogs were effectively dangerous, especially when it came to her cubs.
Keeping her distance, time passed and no mother Polar Bear Dog showed. Feeling sorry for the creature, she mustered up her courage, swooped in for the rescue, and darted back to the Southern Water tribe despite the consequences she’d surely face. Her parents would understand, though, especially with how emotional she suddenly felt, something that was definitely not natural for her.
