Personality: Lucien is unpredictable, this is the main quality of his. He can either become your best friend of your worst enemy, and he can switch in between the two, you must handle him with caution should you not wish to perish an untimely death.

His kind side is the side you really want to see, he will either lend you his power, for a brief time, or even temporarily over you his many services. It is difficult to make him charitable, and will always require something in return, and each case is always different.

However when enraged he will rampage. Killing anything and anyone in the area, until he has the sense to slip back into the Spirit World. He will attack anything, even if you have just befriended him. This mood is the exact opposite of his kinder mood, he is lethal, and angry, and will kill before asking questions, and he feels no regret for anything he has done. His favorite thing to do like this is kill master benders.

Finally he can be totally calm, yet still lethal. This is how he usually can be found, and this is your chance to try and strike a bargain with him.

Abilities:

Physical Abilities

The Shade is extremely fast and strong, there is no denying this. He is able to out-speed almost anything you try and compare him too. Anything and everything seems too be slower than him, though this is not always strictly true. While he is extremely fast, he does not maneuver very well at all. On flat open plains you have no hope of out-speeding him, however if there are many things in his way such as trees or rocks, he will have to move which could give you enough time to catch up and plan an attack if need be.

He is immensely strong, he can lift most things if he really tries, but he does have his limits, and he needs to be focused to do any extreme lifting.

His one unique ability is the ability too Seek. If you give him a scent and enough in exchange,  he will seek down the one you asked him too seek and kill him or her. He is the ultimate assassin, but it costs a lot too get him to do anything for you. So be warned, he could turn against you in the blink of an eye.

Malicious dark energy flows from him.

He can take on the form of a tall man with jet black hair and red eyes, usually clothed in all black, unless changed himself. It is his ultimate camouflage

Spirit Abilities

He can inhabit a persons body, should they choose to allow him. He can either sit there and lend them his power too increase their own bending twofold. This only works if you allow him to do so, if you shut your heart to him, he cannot use his possession When he is in someones heart his own heart melds with your own, meaning if you die and he cannot escape you in time, he will be sent to forever live in the Spirit World, he can project his Spirit Form while inside someones heart however, but he is still anchored in you. It also allows him to take your heart into the Spirit World should you so please, so that you can see their world. However he never assumes full control over the person.

In his Spirit Form, he can ignore all bending attacks, but his physical attacks drop to a zero. He has too take on a more solid shape in order to use his outstanding inner abilities. However anything mental gets increased in power when he is in Spirit Form. He is also able to summon up to ten shadowy hooded figures to aid him, they can be killed by normal means but are skilled themselves.

Sidenote: He can be banished to the Spirit World permanently, or removed all together, or changed, you need to find a way to do this verbally or mentally, not physically. Light, exposure to a kind soul will make him neutral, and a kinder spirit all together, physically he may be unstoppable, but inside in some ways he still has the mind of a teenager.

Physical Form: A hulking shadowy visage of a wolf. You can touch him in this form and he appear to have a coat of sleek black fur. Stands on all four paws and is great in combat, his other abilities are limited when his in this form. He cannot use his other abilities that lean more towards the unknown side, he speaks via telepathy in this form, or growls.

Spiritual Form: The best way to describe this form is basically a hulking shadowy mass of nothingness. He is both there and not there, and a pulsing red light in his eyes is the only give away he is even there sometimes. If he is currently inside someones heart, his form can change to reflect that persons personality. For example if he is inside an earthbender he could become a shadowy badger mole. Or whatever animal he thinks best describes that person, this will replace his Spiritual Form for the time being until he leaves your body.

History:
In life, Lucien had been a wolf from the Fire Nation, several hundred years ago. He was born to a normal pack of wolves. He lived his life as a pup rather happily, exploring the land with his two siblings, a sister and a brother, and they had been content when their parents had been around.

Lucien had always been different to his siblings, they had been a lot more playful than he had been, if you compared this family to a human one you could class him as the quiet brooding type.

One day when he was roughly ten years old, if you compare wolf ages to that of a humans, his life changed drastically. His siblings had both wandered too far from their parents, and had been killed by hunters from a nearby village for their pelts.

This changed something within Lucien, he may have been different but he loved his family above all else. Angered, he chased down the two killers. However, he proved no match for their sharp spears and cunning skill. It created his wrath against most of the human population.

Lucien was dragged into nothingness, a blank expanse which felt like a constant nightmare that had no beginning or end. He could not feel, anything. His senses had all been taken, and he just floated adrift on the constant black ocean that was his existence.

Days, months, years, time had no presence in his world. Nothing did, he only had his thoughts, which were barely there. It was then, that a voice began speaking to him. It beckoned him, with taunts of vengeance, retribution, and destruction. It promised him the power to wipe out his foes, if he gave into it.

Lucien managed to, after thinking about it, give some form of approval. It was then that he felt a pulling motion, downward. He then saw, he felt, he heard, he had his senses.

He was at the spot where he died, but the season and sounds were both different, he must have been away for man moons. He was also taller and more... Powerful, in more ways than one. He was taller than both of his parents, and he was now jet black, without a hint of light. He could see two worlds if he tried, this one and a new one.

The newly formed Dark Spirit turned his head toward where the killers had been all those moons ago, he smiled if a wolf could smile and sped of at immeasurable speed.

He prowled unheard and unseen into the village he had stumbled upon. His black coat helped him meld into the shadows. He came upon a house, and stared at how small it was. His anger flared up like a storm, and he came crashing through the wall, crushing anyone on the other side. His anger snapped inside him, and a bloodthirsty rage took him, and he went to kill more of them, it felt great, such an anger relief method.

By daybreak, the whole village was nothing but rubble, and some blood splatters across the stones. One child was clutching her mother, crying, staring with horrified eyes. He looked at her mothers dress, which was made of three wolf pelts. He stepped down, with a sickening crunch, he then sped off again into the daybreak.

Several days past and he felt his mind slipping. He then had his first experience with the other side of his new life, or death. He was in that other world he could see, the counterpart to this life, his body had faded away into nothingness, but he knew it was only a thought away. He looked around, and saw giant forests, babbling brooks, and all manner of things.

A great... Light appeared before him, he blinked and looked on, wondering what this thing was. It spoke to him now, saying "You must learn control. You cannot..." A great darkness appeared before him, it spoke to "You do not need the light... Learn the darkness, and I will teach you vengeance" Lucien thought about this, the choice was clear.

"Darkness, is the way of the dawn"

The light faded, and darkness consumed him. Knowledge poured through him, and what took minuets for them in that world, was hundreds of years in the human world. They caught up to modern day, and he was sent back into the human world in the Foggy Swamp, where he took on the identity of The Shade.

He learned how to control his new abilities, and all that they entailed. However mentally he remained slightly underdeveloped, which could prove his own downfall.

Reason(s) Why You Believe You Deserve a Master-Tier Character/Position:
There are many reasons why I think I should be allowed to play as a Master-Tier character. I may have only been around a few weeks, yet I have really gotten into the feel of this place, and believe it is time I try for a Master. it may be a bit unorthodox to go for a Spirit as my first Master, but I believe I can play the role very well. I will not disappoint if you allow me too play as this character.
