Kroesk, the lost wind Empty

Full Name:
Gender:Male

Element:Wind
Birthplace: Western Air Temple
Position: Pirate Captain
Training: Piracy (Expert), Gliding (Expert),  Airbending (Expert),  Cloudbending (Expert),  Mistbending (Intermediate),  rident & Net(Intermediate), Bowie Knives (Intermediate),  Verbal assault (intermediate)

Personality:
Kroesk is not nice.  He hates you, he doesn't need to know you to know that.  If you meet me him he's half like to cleave you in half as to take everything you own and give you to his crew.  Any way things go down, you don't wanna be there.  The only person that he hates more than you are airbenders.  The airbending nomads may claim to be free but they clamp their lives in ethical chains instead.  Kroesk was the one of the true free men in the world.

The only people who he accepts are those who are bloodthirsty, sinful lads and lass who prove that fear is a foreign word.  Cyrad accepts groups of two into his pirate crew as pledges and the final task to become full in right is to kill your mate.  Even when your in his "crew" your not safe as he often runs fights to the deck on the center of the ship to amuse him and his officers.  The officers were safe though, having needed to prove their skill, blood lust, fearlessness, loyalty and dozen of other traits unlisted to get their rank.  So were captains of other "free" ships, though that didn't stop him from defending his body or honor.  Even if it was his original transgression that started the mess.  Aside from being a sadist, Kroesk delights in pain to the point of addiction.  If in a fight he will let nonfatal blows land merely to feel his mistress bloom on his body.  Should a great amount of time pass between battles Kroesk may resort to reckless behavior or self inflicting wounds.

The only things Kroesk cares for is his airbison Thunder, his ship, and his smoke.  Kroesks bond with the airbison had been build over several long years and they share a bond with a lighter side of Kroesk that many, to Kroesk's glee, deny exists.  The Lost Wind was Kroesk's ship that he had since he first became a pirate and became his after his mutiny.  One of the few places on the ground, Kroesk can call himself, comfortable, is the his plantation off in the eastern shores of chameleon bay were they grow marijuana plants for rope, paper, and smoking.

Abilities:
Kroesk has lived on the sea for the last twenty-one years, he has learned how to fish and sail an navigate by night or day.  He can cook, organize cargo, whip the rowers or any task that his ship may require.  His sea legs are as solid as a bears on land and his attacks are just as furious.

Kroesk has the trained skill to inspire fear, he clearly thinks different than others and he know it so he twists words and actions into a barbwire whip, lashing terror into victims.  Kroesk has talked six people into killing themselves so far and has a smiley face scar, self drawn, for each on on his stomach.

Kroesk's weapon of choice was the trident, a long three pronged spear, which he complimented with a net.  The net edges were weighed down with heavy wooden balls.  He was selftaught and used the weapon alongside his bending.  Should they fail him he calls upon two large bowie knives he keeps strapped to his thighs.  They were so honed that if you blew on the edge it made a slight whistling noise.

Kroesk had went through airbending training at a young age and became quite skilled as it became his obsession.  He used to train morning, noon, and night with Thunder, his airbison.  Kroesk uses his airbending to make him nimble or travel long distances over the dreaded land.  Kroesk uses a lower body tornado style of airbending instead of the airball because it gives him a height and advantage with his long reaching trident.  Normally just lashing out with powerful gusts of wind, Kroesk hides his skill as a bender.  In truth he can make storms or use the wind to capsize boats.  Once in his life he was even to make a wild tornado.

Kroesk's mistbending comes from when his tornado form hits the water.  He grabs the spray and uses it as cover for his ship.  Twisted with his mind, Kroesk would make horrors of the fog, to horrify those both outside and within the mist.

Kroesk not only knows how to glide on a near perfect level he also knows how to make a glider from scratch.  Often when he is flying Kroesk will consider how much better it was than using his legs to walk.  With a significant amount of time in the air Kroesk knows how to bend the clouds around him and should he be in free fall he condenses them into tight balls making wet "speed bumps".

What Kroesk was best at though was being a pirate.  He was ruthless yet knew how to work with others of his kind.  He had a good eye for targets so his crew never wanted to mutiny, though if they were thinking about it he would just put them in the fights.  He didn't fear death, lest it be from sickness or age and many think the only way to calm the typhoon is to cower benieth it's wrath but no storm is discrimitory and there always those who arm harmed and those who arn't.

Appearance:
Height: 5'6
Weight: 146
Eyes: Pale
Hair: Black
Skin: White

Kroesk isn't very tall but that fits him well allowing him to move through smaller places.  For his size though he is mildly strong, this has come from years of fighting and working the seas.  Scars dot his body, some from battle, some self-inflicted, some "drawn", he takes pride in his scars and see's nothing but disgust on a unmarked man.

He doesn't cut his hair scalp or chin instead using the extra sense of the wind in his hair to help him bend, he doesn't quiet understand how this works but he doesn't care for understanding only for results.  He was missing a bit of his nose from a monkey bite making it look more like a pyramid in the center of his face.  With matching four frontal teeth Kroesk wasn't like to swoo the ladies, nor was he like to ask.

Kroesk wears a shirt, vest, jacket, and overcoat in that order when he's sailing the seas and usually brings only one of the two latter should he go into port.  Clothes often dirty with grime, blood, and sea one could often smell the man before they saw him.  Pants of leather with small overlapping plates of metal protected his legs and gave him a slight jingle to his step, though he liked to boast on how he wore them to warn victims of his presence.

Tall leather boots, with a poked drain to let the sea water out, protected Kroesk bare and soaked toes, they would be quite moldy if he didn't blast them with air before bed every night and after every storm.

History:
Kroesk was born to a family of eight with five, including him, of the children being airbenders.  He was the second to last child so when he came into the world resources were already tight.  His parents did try but with so many children it is hard to give each child the attention that they need and deserve.

Throughout his young life his older brother, three years his senior, would physically and emotionally torture him.  When Kroesk first started to bend, around six and a half, he was sure that the torment would end.  He didn't think that his brother would target him now that he could defend himself.  He was terribly wrong, one night when his brother had been beating up Kroesk and his older brother, eleven months so, Kroesk tried to fight back with his airbending.  Not only did his brother teach him about the differances in their skills at bending but also taught him the true meaning of pain.  Kroesk had to go home and tell his parents that a whole bunch of kids beat him up for fear of another worse assault or worse.

A few months went by and things were in a rapid downward spiral in Kroesk's family.  Kroesk's aggressive brother was getting worse and less discriminatory as he got bolder and stronger.  It culminated in a a huge sibling fight where the family was torn apart.  The fight started off like any other in the house, escalating quickly but instead of being over with they continued to fight getting more and more serious as it went on.  In the end Kroesk had killed his older brother and one of the younger ones who had stood with the bully.  Kroesk often recounts this day with joy as the day he learned to be free.

He couldn't stay at the western air temples so he stole an airbison.  Foolishly he had taken a child airbison for all the older ones knew their owners.  He was only able to fly for a short distance before the two them crashed into the waters only a short distance away from where they left.  They were eventually picked up by a passing ship that had enough room in the hold for Thunder.  They traveled for a few weeks before they were set upon by pirates in The Lost Wind.  Most of the crew surrendered after the first few members of the crew were torn apart.  The majority of them were thrown into the sea yet Kroesk was one of those deemed worthy to join the crew.  He wasn't asked.

When they found the airbison in the hold the pirates tried to detain it but the large animal, though yet a child, was too wild them to capture.  Kroesk was able to calm him down and convince the animal to go onto the pirate ship.  Kroesk quickly gained rank as his innate skill for a pirate was honed and recognized.  A skill which was complimented by his airbending.

Somehow Kroesk felt at home with the barbaric pirates, they did not judge him even when they heard of what happened to his family.  They taught him from how to tie a knot to how to read the stars, the other from his ship mostly disappeared either killed in battle or other means.  Yet as Kroesk grew and wanted more adventure and wealth his captain was closing in on his final years at sea, he cared little for risking his life now and slept on chests overflowing with gold.  One day with a belly empty save the drink Kroesk rallied his brethern and charged the captains quarters.  They caught him a drunken heap laying on his bed.  Kroesk straddled him with the others held him down and raised a single fist.  He started to rotate it and wind started to collect forming a hurricane like drill.  He decapitated his captain, cleaned his skull in the sea and made it into a chalice.

Under Kroesk's rule The Lost Wind became far more active, both taking ships from any nation as well at sacking small farming villages.  More recently Kroesk has founded a plantation where he has several of his slaves, people captured from vessels work tending to food, tobacco, and hemp.  As well as holding a large housing area for his intended human trafficking ring.

Kroesk is a scourge upon the sea and intends to continue until the day he dies.

throw in the character box if you can (there's a tutorial if you don't get what it means and stuff)
otherwise, I like this character, and apologize that it took so long; I had expected that you'd bump it or something.
Either way... APPROVED!
