Mei is always known as the quiet girl who would be stood in the corner at parties. But, Mei was a sociable girl - even though she was a mute. She is always to her friends and allies and she would always put everyone else before herself (she is very selfless). She is also very "motherly", she will always care for those who are helpless and who she knows as family.
When in battle she is always defensive, not wanting to be the offense. She always stays at the front, blocking off the enemies strikes the best she can, evading is her specialty.
Throughout her life she has always been the peacemaker within her family and friends. She will always make sure her friends and everyone around her are at peace, otherwise she would become sad and she would feel like she had failed those around her.

Airbending (
Intermediate): Because Mei was a spiritual person, she learnt Airbending easily at a young age of seven. She had accomplished the basics by the age of nine and began to advance in her techniques at the age of eleven. Now she is sixteen and she has learnt a lot of advanced techniques but she has not completely mastered Airbending, yet.
Weaponry:
Hand-to-Hand Combat (
Intermediate): From the age of ten she began to learn the ways of hand-to-hand combat. This was just in case her airbending was useless in a certain situation. The hand-to-hand training made her learn to be evasive and defensive while also being offensive if the time came for her to strike. Now she is an intermediate hand-to-hand artist and knows when and where to strike at any time - but she still has more things to master.
Sword Fighting (
Beginner): She has rarely used any weapons other than the staff and she has only learnt some of the basics of using a sword. She has only used a sword ten times ever since she had turned ten years old, and she thinks she doesn't really need to use a sword again.
Staffs (
Intermediate): Mei uses staffs a lot when it comes to battling but she has not completely mastered the skills as she has mostly been teaching herself the ways of the staff from the age of nine. She has used the staff plenty of times and knows her people use staffs frequently, so that means she does as well.

Hair: She is a brunette. Her hair is long (past her shoulders) and is straight.
Skin: Her skin is pale and soft.
Mei's physical looks, posture, and facial expressions tell a lot about her and are helpful to others to understand who she is and what she is thinking (she is a mute). Her build reveals that she is very active but she seems fragile but she is actually quite tough. Her straight posture shows others that she has meditated loads and has great confidence in herself. Her face reveals plenty of things about her, she mostly has a smile on her face, showing she is very happy.
Mei’s skin is very pale, and her hair is a dark brown colour, as would be expected from most individuals of the Air Nomads. It is straight and goes past her shoulders in length. Her eyes are a dark-ish shade of yellow, it looks like mustard. She has no scars covering her skin, making it soft and untouched. The arrows she has on her skin are to show she is an Air Nomad and she is proud, passing her airbending tests to become a true airbender.
Mei wears a variety of clothing, but is by far most often seen in various types of orange and yellow clothing, the styles seen from traditional Air Nomad clothing. She is mostly seen in the traditional Air Nomad bending clothes, where Air Nomads wear certain clothing to train in. She sometimes wears the traditional, ceremonial robes with the Air Nomad necklace with Buddhist-style prayer beads. Mei rarely wears anything that isn't traditional of the Air Nomads, but she would never complain if she had to be in a certain type of clothing and/or colour.

Childhood:
Mei's childhood is like any other Air Nomad's childhood. She was brought up under the teachings of her parents and the monks. There was nothing special about her upbringing. But, when she was five years old her father had passed away from an illness and Mei had been upset about his passing ever since. Her father was very caring of her, he had also taught her the basics of her airbending.
Teenhood:
Mei had almost mastered her airbending and had learnt intermediate level of hand-to-hand and staff combat. She had also found out she had an older sister who had gone out travelling to the other nations. Her sister is believed to be alive and well, with a husband from the Earth Kingdom and two children, making Mei an auntie at the age of thirteen.
Mei had begun her advanced training of airbending, hoping to achieve Master level at the age of twenty. She began to travel at the age of fourteen, first reaching the Southern Water Tribe, and there is where she learnt how the Waterbenders lived and fought against enemies. She took in a few of their techniques and used it as her advantage when it came to her airbending, but she has not completely mastered that either, making the techniques somewhat useless until mastered properly.
Just before her fifteen birthday, Mei then traveled to the Earth Kingdom, hoping to find her long-lost sister who she couldn't remember because her older sister had left a year after Mei was born. Mei had searched the Earth Kingdom, taking almost half a year to search for her sister, Mei began to give up her hopes of finding her sister, so she traveled around to the other air temples, hoping to find her and her nieces there, but there was no luck, and Mei traveled back to the Southern Air Temple, waiting for her older sister to make an appearance one day in the near future.

It was time for Mei's daily airbending session - which she did by herself. Mei had learnt her airbending at a young age and had grown to understand the advantages of being an airbender, she wasn't the best airbender out there but she knew some advanced techniques.
Mei rushed out into the training area where there was many obstacles scattered around. She inhaled and exhaled as she relaxed her body, activating her senses. She went to the first obstacle of balancing and she used her airbending to float towards the first stand. She looked around to find the sturdiest stand she could jump to, once she located it, she simply jumped onto it, landing on one foot. Wobbling slightly, she went to inhale and exhale to relax and sturdy herself on the stand.
After five minutes, Mei had finished her first obstacle. She had four more obstacles to go but she needed to drink something so she used her airbending to float away from the training area and into the drinking/eating area of the temple, seeing plenty of other Air Nomads there. Mei stopped floating and walked over to get a small bowl to use as her soup holder, she went up and poured some soup into the bowl and went to get a small cup, filling it with some fresh water. Then she walked over to a table and sat down, beginning to eat her soup and drink some of her water.
'Mmm, I love the taste of soup in the morning.' She thought to herself, not really speaking it of course because she was a mute.
