Personality: Bao-Yu seems to be a peaceful and kind girl at first, but after one spends some time with her, she turns out to be immature, and cruel in a childish way. In front of strangers, she acts like a humble and mature lady, becuse that's what her parents taught her. But if she's with her family only, or with children of her age, she acts like she's much younger than she actually is. She tends to whine for candy, throw tantrums over stupid things, and hide at her friends house when her parents want her to do something she doesn't like. She also hurts people either emotionally or physically a lot, not because she wants to cause harm, only because she doesn't seem to understand that others are beings with feelings too. She gets into lots of fights with kids about her age because of this. And she tends to steal food from merchants, which are usually payed for by her parents later. She also lies a lot, for no apparent reason. For example, she might just not tell one her real name. Not because she doesn't trust them, simply because she doesn't want to.

Abilities: Bao-Yu is a beginner firebeneder. She is learning from her mother, who is of course not a master. This is why if Bao-Yu doesn't find a proper master, she will never be good at bending. While she already knows how to protect herself from non-benders, or she could even fight an earthbender her age with a tiny chance of winning, she is still just learning the basics, and she isn't progressing fast enough. She is also learning judo, in a small dojo located in the city. She is yellow belt, which means she has passed one judo exam before. She knows how to fall without hurting herself, and knows few ways to unbalance an opponent. Her judo master is great, so she is learning fast. When fighting earthbender children, she has the advantage of knowing the way they usually attack, while they probably never learned how to face a firebender.

Bao-Yu is somewhat short, and of a little bit under average weight, but that is only because she's shorter than most children at her age. She has big sparkly and innocent light brown eyes. Her brown hair is about midback length and is straight. She usually wears it in either pigtails or one braind. She usually wears yellow or red ribbons in her hair. When she is at home, she is wearing a pretty green dress, with golden pattern. It is the kind of dress rich people wear in the city of Ba Sing Se. When she is at school, she of course wears a school uniform. When her parents let her play outside with the other kids, she wears cheaper clothing. Usually simple green trousers, a long yelow T-shirt, and a red belt. In winter she also wears shoes and a brown jacket or a long yellow scarf.

History: The Huang family used to  live in the colonies, but when all the land that the Fire Nation took from the Earth Kingdom was re-conquered, the Huang family moved to Ba Sing Se. They did not move back to the Fire Nation, because they grew attached to the way of living in the Earth Kingdom. Bao-Yu was born in the great city, and she has never set foot outside it's walls. Her father is a successfull merchant, so the family is rich. Bao-Yu's father is a non-bender, and is rarely home. Bao-Yu was raised mostly by her mother, who is a firebender. The mother does not work, so she had a lot of time to spend with her daughter.

Bao-Yu is an only child. Her parents paid lots of attention to her, and did their best to raise her up well. They wanted to keep her safe, but they knew locking her up in a room would not help. Sooner or later she'd grow up and leave, and then she would not have an experience in life. Instead they let her play on the streets, and learn from other kids. Her mother started teaching her firebending basics, so that she could protect herself if needed. This might have been a mistake, because with her bending, Bao-Yu hurt her friends, who eventually left her. Bao-Yu's parents were often punished by authorities for the dangerous behaviour of their daughter, but they refused to make her stop bending. When Bao-Yu was 7 years old, her father found a judo master for her. He chose judo because he knew causing serius damage to the opponent was not allowed in this sport. He hoped the lessons would teach her some slef-control, while improving her agility and flexibility too.

For her eighth birthday, her parents bought her a tamed wild kitten, that was a few months old at the time. It grew up by the side of Bao-Yu, and became a great friend of hers. It also fights by her side when she gets in trouble. Since the day she got the cat, she has always taken it with her to her little adventures in the city.

Bao-Yu Huang

Bao-Yu is sitting on a rock, waiting for the kid she has just won against to wake up. She burnt the kids right arm a little. It doesn't seem to be a big deal to Bao-Yu. She is little hurt too, there is a small cut on the back of her left hand, the kid cut her with his knife. Bao-Yu has some time to take a better look at the boy. He seems to be from a rather poor family. He smells, and his clothing is dirty, just like his face. There is a bruise on his head where Bao-Yu hit him. He is not an ugly kid, but isn't too good-looking either. He's older than Bao-Yu, could be about 11, maybe 12 years old. Bao-Yu watches as some drool drips from his mouth. He was pretty weak. Probably haven't eaten anything in a while, he is extremely thin. Bao-Yu sighs. She doesn't have all day. After a while, she just shrugs, and decides to leave the boy lying on the ground. She wanted to help him, but he just takes too long to get up again. Bao-Yu stands up from the rock, and leaves the alley.
