Founding of Xin Shuguang

Cyrad prowled around the camp in the early evening looking deep into the sea of sand that his group would soon venture into, marking the beginning of the greatest task Cyrad had ever set out to do. Many of the key benders who had aligned with his idea were inside the camp now, either slumbering, just waking up, or going about the last minuet tasks before everyone set out into the scalding desert. Other than them there were about twenty other people, none of them children, who came from several backgrounds while almost a quarter of them were glassblowers. Many of these people had family waiting to join them once the "city" became a town. Cyrad was thinking, he often dreamed of the great city that would be and though it would be sure to take many months or even years before it was accomplished this was the first step in a journey of a thousand miles. And standing there looking out to the horizon wasn't going to help.

Cyrad turned and walked back into camp. He decided to leave the building's at the edge of the desert standing, it could be used as a rest point for whomever needed it either going in or out of the desert. He fed the animals and checked the carts, everything was in working order. He made sure the boats, which was the primary source of travel, were pristine and then walked to his own hut and gathered up his belongings and stowed them on the boat he would be riding in. After that he started to walk around the camp making sure everyone was getting ready and was awake, most people were because they weren't used to sleeping during the day but Cyrad had told them that traveling at night was the only reasonable way the group could go into the desert, but he did need to wake a few people up. Finally everything was ready and he got onto a boat and looked around at the others with him, a smile dominated his face.

"Let's go everyone!" He yelled as he summoned a wave of sand under him and under the boats of those without sandbenders on them.
