Follower Of The Lord Of Light – Believes spirits are demons and hates them. Does not believe in nation rulers and will kill them if given the opportunity. Believes the Avatar is a lie as she houses the demon known as Raava.
Stubborn – Gan heavily believes in his current values and sees what he believes in as the correct answer. He follows the words of the Lord Of Light and anyone who tries to tell him otherwise is wrong.
Natural Teacher – Gan is a priest and his first and foremost goal in life is to share the teachings of the Lord Of Light. He teaches the importance of honesty, peace, equality, and ultimate justice.
Merciless – Gan has no mercy for those who are against him. He never leaves an enemy alive after combat and will remove them from the planet. He doesn’t believe in second chances for those who he believes are an eyesore for humanity.
Honest – Gan isn’t one to lie and will tell you the truth. Such is a characteristic any ‘good’ priest like Gan must have. He will tell you the truth about the Lord Of Light. He won’t hesitate to tell you what his true intentions are. Of course, he also won’t hesitate to tell you if he wants you dead.
Fearless – Gan doesn’t fear death as he believes he is protected by the Lord Of Light. He is confident in his own powers to handle his own situations and is not intimidated by anyone, be it a legendry Swordsman, the Fire Lord, or even the Avatar. He will kill them if he must.
Violent – If Gan dislikes you, then he will try to intimidate and scare you. If Gan hates you, then he will try to kill you. Of course there are many people Gan hates, dictators, other religious leaders, and so on. As a result, Gan has killed many on sight.
Caring (For those who deserve it) – Gan is a priest and believes in caring and protecting the innocent. The innocent for him includes the young who don’t know any better, people who follow the same traits that the Lord Of Light teaches, and of course other fellow brothers who follow the same religion as him.
Prioritized and Smart – Gan has been known to ally himself with former enemies for the time being if it means taking out a stronger foe. As violent and fearless he is, Gan won’t test the protection the Lord of Light gives him and won’t do something people consider suicidal.

Earth Bending [Expert] – Gan was trained in the ways of Earth Bending since he was a young child and has much practice in its arts over time. He favors Metal Bending over Earth Bending however and basically only uses Earth Bending for defensive purposes should he need it.
Metal Bending [Master] – Gan proved to be a very skilled Metal Bender and prefers this over Earth Bending. He can combine his Metal Bending with his Power heavy martial arts of Bajiquan to easily punch through a layer of metallic armor. Gan also carries around many small nails and can use his metal bending on them to turn them into fast and deadly projectiles by sending them flinging toward an enemy. He can also use Metal Bending on his Black Keys (Long Sharp Rapier Like Swords) and turn them into dangerous armor piercing projectiles.
Sand Bending [Intermediate] – Of all of his bending styles, Sand Bending would be his weakest. He received some training in the arts of Sand Bending, but the most he can do is create a small Sand Storm to obstruct an enemy’s view and use sand to clog open wounds to slow bleeding and such.
Hand To Hand Combat [Master] – Gan studied the arts of Bajiquan, a martial arts that bypasses unneeded external damage to focus on doing as much as internal damage as possible. In this martial arts style, there is also a high usage of knees and elbows to provide a powerful blunt damage to internal organs. Gan’s massive strength and speed combined with this martial arts style makes him devastating at close range as he is easily capable of collapsing a man heart with a single punch, even if he is wearing armor because he can easily metal bend it to his punch.
Sword Combat [Expert] – Gan main weapon is thin long, rapier like blade with a very small hilt known as a Black Key. The hilt is small enough to where he can carry 3 (One hilt in-between each of his fingers other than his thumb) and can attack with them as if they were a claw. The Black Keys can be used as a projectile through throwing or using Metal Bending on them. Gan is extremely accurate when throwing his Black Keys, able to hit a moving human target 30 meters away with all three blades thrown from a single hand. He had years of training using the Black Keys and can easily overcome a band of bandits using his black keys. His physical physique makes him a terror when he uses his blades.

The first thing someone would notice about Gan is how large he is. Gan is notably tall and has a large muscle composition. Gan’s muscle build makes him extremely heavy, yet extremely strong as well. He is also very fast for his size. Gan has light brown hair that is almost long enough to reach his shoulders. Other than his bangs which are brushed out of his eyes, Gan’s hair is pretty much unkept. Gan usually has a smile on his face when dealing with people and hardly ever breaks his smile due to how well he can control his emotions – even if it’s in the middle of battle. Gan’s smile is kind and caring when around those he likes, and is not so intimidating then. Though when with someone he hates, Gan’s smile is almost seems insane and creepy, which tends to intimidate those who he is fighting. Gan wears the normal priest attire, which includes a black long-sleeved dress shirt as well as a black long-sleeved dress pants. He wears black combat boots on his feet. Around his neck, Gan has a necklace with a gold cross on it, a symbol of the Lord Of Light. Gan wears a dark blue coat over his priest attire. The dark blue coat has long sleeves on it as well and reaches all the way down to his ankles. Gan keeps the front of his coat unbuttoned. Gan carries 18 Black Keys on him. Three are sheathed on the sides of each of his waists, and the other twelve are sheathed to his back. Although the blades are long, they are each pretty skinny and do not inhibit his movement too much. Gan also keeps pouches filled with nails on him to use as projectiles with his Metal Bending. There is one pouch secured on each of his thighs and the other two are secured on his waist next to the Black Keys under his coat. He has small pouch filled with sand secured on the back of his waist.

Black Keys Materials:Titanium
Description: Skinny rapier-like swords, each Black Key has a blade that is a little over a meter long, yet less than two inches wide. Despite being long and skinny, the Black Keys are very durable and hard to break. The Black Keys have short hilts that are small enough to be held in the gaps between a user’s fingers. Gan is capable of wielding three Black Keys in one hand and still parry and block powerful Melee attacks. The Black Keys are also capable of being thrown and doing large amounts of damage. Gan can use Metal Bending on his Black Keys and use them as projectiles that way as well. Gan carries 18 Black Keys.
Nails Materials: Steel
Description: Common 4-inch building nails. Small and light, Gan can use his Metal Bending on these nails to create high speed projectiles. Since they are very small, Gan can easily launch a fast barrage of nails to shred armor and flesh apart. Gan carries 4 separate pouches that have 100 nails in them each, meaning he carries a total of 400 nails.
Pouch of Sand Materials: Sand
Description: Just a small, simple pouch filled with sand. Gan isn’t nearly skilled enough to use this small amount of sand as a weapon and pretty much only uses to seal open wounds and such.

Gan grew up never knowing his parents. He was born in a small, humble Earth Village. However, just days after he was born, his village was attacked and razed from unknown enemies. Everyone of Gan’s village was slaughtered; Gan himself only survived because he was hidden during the attack. The Holy Church later found him and took him in.
The Holy Church is small religion and its followers believe in a single deity known as the Lord Of Light. They believe the creation of all things is a result of the Lord Of Light. They also heavily dislike spirits, believing that spirits are demons that the Lord Of Light placed on the planet to test the might of his people. The Followers of the Holy Church do consider themselves good however, and they teach the importance of achieving peace and maintaining honesty and helping the helpless. They look down on oppressive leaders and such saying that they are false rulers and the only ruler should be the Lord Of Light. They have a single temple in the mountains northwest of Ba Sing Se.
So Gan was taken in the by the church as an Orphan and learned the ways of the Lord Of Light and his importance to all life. Young Gan took all he learned to heart and became a respectable young kid, devoting all that he could to the Lord Of Light.
The church had a few skilled Earth Benders and martial artists that helped Gan train in different ways of fighting as he grew up. Young Gan was very proficient at earth bending, but for an odd reason, was much better at metal bending. He learned how to use metal bending to turn metal based weapons into projectiles. On his own, Gan learned that using large weapons was impractical, seeing how large and easy to block they were as well as how hard it was to carry one around everywhere. This caused him to eventually start using nails, they were small, light, fast and very numerous. It made overwhelming an enemy very easy.
The style of martial arts Gan learned was a style called Bajiquan, a very deadly martial arts that aims to solely damage internal organs and instantly kill an opponent. Gan studied in this style for his many years under the church, undergoing very difficult training that made his strength and speed far above that of a normal human, making him a killing machine with this technique.
During his years in training, Gan also became familiar with The Black Keys, the Holy Churches main weapon. Through much practice and experience, Gan also mastered the usage of The Black Keys.
So Gan’s entire childhood was spent growing up under the guidance of the church. Mentally, he was led to know and follow the Lord Of Light. He became very knowledgeable in the religion and proved to be a true Follower of the Holy Church. At the age of 18, he was granted the role of priest and was to teach the word of the Lord Of Light to all.
Along with his mental teachings, he of course became physically powerful. After passing the many trials and years of Intense training, The Holy Church also gave Gan the title of Paladin and was to eliminate the evil that goes against the teachings of The Lord of Light.
For the next many years, Gan received jobs from the Church, and all of them he followed without hesitation. Gan believed that everything he did was for The Lord of Light. His jobs mostly included preaching the word of The Lord Of Light and killing witches, demons, and criminals too evil to be left alive. Gan did this relentlessly for many years and earned himself the nickname of ‘The Executor’.
Gan soon changed over the years, originally following the orders of the Holy Church, Gan eventually went on his own tangent and took orders from the Lord Of Light from whom he believed he could hear the voice of. These orders no longer simply involved simply killing those that were evil, but anything that opposed the Lord Of Light and soon, Gan was also killing those who were considered innocent by nation governments.
Gan left a constant trail of deaths behind him and soon became a highly wanted criminal. This caused the Holy Church to cut all connections with Gan to avoid being affiliated with him so that they would not be crushed by the military might of one of the greater nations. This didn’t bother Gan however; he would sacrifice his connection to the Church to protect them and to further provide great services to the Lord Of Light.

It’s me Kei. I am on this site pretty much every day and am currently at 250+ posts showing that I am consistent with actually doing stuff. I also feel like I get along pretty well with everyone else and generally do my best to follow the rules of the site. I want to use Gan to provide an interesting opponent to any other powerful characters on this site if they wish to have an encounter with Gan. I also think that he would also make for great plot material in the near future.

Gan was walking through an area of many farmlands in the territory of the Northern Water Tribe. Standing around the entrance of a poor farmhouse, were men who, judging from their outfits, were Northern Water Tribe soldiers.
Gan approached a group of Northern Water Tribe soldiers only to see that they were busy trying to collect the taxes of a farmer who had failed to pay them for several months. Gan couldn’t help but shake his head at the sight of the Northern Water Tribe Soldiers, what they were doing was wrong. All men didn’t ‘owe’ another one their possessions because of some silly thing as ‘being a ruler over them’. The correct way of life was freedom, freedom under the grace of the Lord Of Light.
There were eight soldiers around the farmer. Upon seeing Gan’s approach, one of the soldiers broke from the group of the other soldiers and began walking toward Gan.
“Halt!” The soldier called out, “Declare your intentions!”
Gan didn’t halt and within a single leap, he closed the distance between him and the soldier. Gan instantly sent an elbow into just above the soldier’s stomach in-between his ribs and crushed the man’s lungs with a single blow. The soldier grabbed at his chest and gasped for breath, he was unable to breath now. The soldier collapsed to the ground and died shortly after. The other Northern Water Tribe soldiers began to noticed what had just happened to their ally and 3 of them charged Gan.
“You people worship your false rulers almost as if they were gods…” Gan began saying toward the soldiers
Three of them stood around Gan from both sides and directly in front. Using water from water pouches they had on them, the three soldiers sent a flurry of ice spikes flying toward Gan. In order to block the ice spikes, Gan raised a wall of earth around him. Gan then sent several portions of the earth wall flying at the 3 soldiers. At the same time he removed 3 nails from their pouches and hovered them in one of his hands using metal bending. Gan watched as the 3 soldiers stepped out of the way of the incoming earth walls he sent fly toward them. Using his metal bending and right as the soldiers came into view, Gan sent the each nail flying at the head of one of the soldiers each. The nails were small, fast and almost invisible. Without fail, each nail found its way straight through the forehead of a soldier.
The remaining three soldiers were still standing by the farm house, weapons drawn and were trembling at the sight of their companions being instantly slaughtered.
“…Your ‘gods’ are false and take away the freedom of its people…” Gan continued telling the soldiers.
“C-c-come on,” One of the soldiers, most likely the leader, exclaimed nervously, “Get him you two!”
The other two soldiers fearfully stepped toward Gan at first, and then charged him with swords drawn along with a battle cry. The first soldier tried to attack Gan with a slash. Drawing a Black Key from his waist, Gan blocked the sword attack of the enemy soldier with his on blade and then with his still empty hand, hit the soldier’s chest with an open palm, sending him falling backward with a crushed heart.
The second soldier tried to stab at Gan, but Gan easily blocked it with the Black Key still in his hand. With his other hand, Gan pulled another Black Key from his waist and sent it through the soldier’s neck, decapitating him. At once, the two soldiers that charged him both collapsed to the ground, dead.
“… any ‘god’ that takes away freedom is no ‘god’ at all…” Gan told the final soldier still by the farmhouse.
The last soldier lost the will to fight after seeing all his companions get slaughtered in front of him and began to run. The soldier didn’t get far though, and Gan threw both of the Black Keys in his hands at the soldier. The Black Keys found their way into each of the man’s wrists, cutting through any tendons and bones in the way and pinned the man to the farmhouse by both of his wrists.
The man could no longer run as he was painfully pinned to the farmhouse and was unable to remove the Black Keys from his wrists. He was now sobbing and begging for mercy from Gan. Gan didn’t listen however and slowly approached the immobilized soldier. When he was close enough, Gan put his hand around the soldier’s neck, crushing his throat and cutting off his breathing, slowly choking him to death.
Gan finally ended, “…The Lord Of Light will punish such ‘gods’ and their followers, leaving only one fate for them… Death.”
