Maya is a woman of many names and many faces. She is an incorrigible flirt who can lie through her teeth so convincingly that most people believe anything she says. This combined with her natural charm and charisma as well as her skill in seduction enables her to talk her way out of nearly any situation. Because Maya’s work involves acting, lying, seducing, stealing and more, she has learned to be whoever she needs to be for whatever situation she finds herself in. She cares deeply for the girls in her employ and has no qualms about defending them. Otherwise she has no issues with getting her hands dirty and runs a very successful criminal empire that spans the Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, Water Tribes and even the Air Temples.
Compared to most other Crime Lords, Maya is generally very laid back. She is reasonable, level-headed and very loyal to the few whom she calls friends. However, those who manage to get on her bad side usually would prefer death over suffering her wrath.
Abilities: (555) Maya has perfected a myriad of different skills and abilities, ranging from spiritual, to physical, to intellectual, to social and even sexual.
Sword-Combat : Maya is an undeniable master with the katana, earning her the name of “The Scarlet Blade” in underworld circles. She wields a two-handed, scarlet-hilted katana with deadly precision and almost unnatural speed in battle. She favors her Katana when fighting because she can easily repel most elemental bending attacks with it. In fact it is rumoured among her lieutenants that she once castrated a fly in flight with a single, lightning fast strike. Whether the legend is true or not, it is based in the truth that she is lightning fast, and unbelievably accurate.
Chi-Blocking : Maya’s Katana alone cannot always save her against benders, and so when things get rough, she can always fall back onto her secret weapon…Chi-blocking. It was a skill she quickly learned and later mastered. In fact, her job had helped her much in this regard as she had to know how to massage her ‘clients’ properly. This gave her first-hand experience and understanding of the human body and its weaknesses. Combine that with her skill and knowledge of martial arts and she is a formidable foe for any bender to face close up, and in her line of work, she enjoys getting close. In fact, she often seduces dangerous and powerful benders that look like trouble, before getting very close to them and then disabling their bending when they least expect it.
Intellectual Abilities: Maya is a very smart and resourceful woman. She is an expert at reading people and their motivations and in knowing exactly what to do to satisfy them. She knows how people think, and knows how people think she thinks. This puts her one step of most people and is what allowed her to build the largest and most successful criminal organization in the world. Because of this, many people began to believe her to be some mystical oracle who could tell their futures and satisfy their deepest desires, when she was really only using her skills in observation and deduction to come to conclusions about her clients. This caused her fame and popularity to sky rocket. Her name became synonymous with the pleasure, self-indulgence and hedonism, and in the span of a few short months, her brothels’ client lists more than tripled.
Maya can keep track and manage a myriad of different activities at once, enabling her to manage and run her vast criminal empire with ease. She also has a photographic memory, and uses this to her advantage. She is an information broker, using the information she gathers from her clients and criminal networks. However, her information isn’t cheap and she often requires new information in turn. Strangely all these secrets that are traded balance each other out, and no one gains a distinct advantage because of it.
Other Abilities: Other abilities and skills exhibited by Maya include: The therapeutical arts of massage, acupuncture, and reflexology. She is also a skilled musician and artist. She is also a capable therapist, able to soothe and comfort the troubled hearts of those who visit her for her services. But many would agree that her greatest skill lies in the erotic arts. She loves what she does, and she is very, very good at it.

Her skin is silky smooth and beautifully pale, and very sensitive to touch. Her long, straight hair is a soft purple, and falls down past her waist when loose. Her eyes are an alluring azure color and full of desire, making her gaze almost hypnotic. It was made for her as a gift by a legendary metalbending weaponsmith. It is supremely sharp and rings in the air when it is unsheathed. It is also extremely strong and durable thanks to the folding of metal and constant cooling and reheating by the metalbender master who forged it.
History: (846) Maya was born in the Fire Nation to an average middle class family. Maya however, was far from average. She flew through school unbelievably fast, and was one of the Fire Nation’s star pupils thanks to her photographic memory. For this reason, she was quite well known in her small hometown, and she was loved by all. Unfortunately, her skills drew the attention of criminals as well. It wasn’t long before a very influential local crime lord soon hatched up a plan, and kidnapped Maya just before her 9th birthday. The criminals who captured her forced her into their service, using her mind to store their information thus eliminating any and all paper trails concerning their underworld organization. Maya was treated very well because of her importance to the criminal organization, and soon she came to enjoy the life of crime, where she could really live up to her full potential. She was doing so well in fact, that it didn’t take long for her to take over leadership of certain facets of the criminal network she was involved in.
By the time Maya turned 16, she had grown into a real beauty, one of the most beautiful woman in the Fire Nation in fact. She made men around her weak at the knees, and she soon found out that with little effort, she could get the men who were fawning over her to do anything she wanted. She had also gained much favour with the crime lord who originally kidnapped her. He made her his mistress, teaching her how to fight and how to make love, and punishing any man who dared lay a finger on her. As she grew older, her beauty also grew more and more, and soon Maya had enough pull and influence to challenge her master.
Maya had formulated a plan over the years. She didn’t want to escape, since she enjoyed her criminal life to much. Instead, she wanted to take over. She was actually already running the Crime Lords Empire for him, but she wanted more. By now the crime lord had completely drawn back from the nitty gritty day to day operations and he just used Maya to run things. She was his empire’s manager by day, and his entertainment at night, a part of the job which she actually loved. In a master stroke, Maya secretly turned all the crime lord’s men against him, and one night after she had pleasured him for the last time. She slit his throat.
No one dared question her leadership after she killed her former boss, the men and women who worked for her treated her like a goddess. In a few short years, Maya’s new criminal empire had grown massively, and spanned the entire world. The day to day criminal dealings brought in absurd amounts of money, and Maya became one of the wealthiest people in the world. However this was quite suspicious and local authorities soon began investigating her. They were easy to buy off, blackmail or seduce, but Maya knew she had to have a front from where she could conduct her business in peace. She quickly remedied this by opening brothels all over the world. She opened

She began to use her skills in observation and deduction to discover what her clients truly wanted, and she made sure she fulfilled their every whim and desire. This made her an instant celebrity, with a waiting list of months just to spend an hour with her. She was believed to be a mystic or oracle, who could tell the future, and fulfil any desire. She used this to her advantage, and soon she was untouchable, even to the authorities.
Maya found that the greatest currency of all was information, and so she started gathering it. Every politician or government official or important person that saw her had secrets, which she found she could easily seduce right out of them. Because of this, there was truly very little that Maya didn’t know about what was going on in the world. Her photographic memory became invaluable in this regard. Her information became tradeable for any new information, and soon Maya became one of the best information brokers in the world.
Her criminal activities didn’t stop there however. She remained very active in running her criminal empire, and wielding her unmistakeable scarlet-hilted platinum katana, she became known as The Scarlet Blade. She often acted as her own enforcer, and didn’t trust grunts to do much of the difficult work, and so she simply done it herself. She was a supremely skilled as a fighter, and very intelligent. There were few individuals that could stand up to her skills with the blade, or her charm.
