It's hard to describe Jian in a few words. The best way to describe it in one word would be perceptive. It's not that he stands out of the crowd that much with his persona unless interacted with. He will always have a reply to everything; all tough he doesn't always let his thoughts immediately. It can almost be guaranteed, that when you speak with him, you will have an interesting conversation. He likes to ponder and thing about things and how they exist and/or how they can be improved. However, if he doesn't deem you worthy of his time or attention and you try to take it from him anyway. He will undoubtedly mess around with that person. His favorite is past time is actually talking with these people and try to convince them of something that's not true for laughs. He can be quite mean in arrogant in that perspective but to everyone, he can learn something from or needs something from, he can respond in a polite and civilized manner.
I mean the reason why they call him "Wei Xiao" is because he always cheers people up.

Airbending
(Beginner)There is nothing he's actually capable of. He just recently figured out he wanted to spend time actually trying to bend. It has been in his way and other times in actually came in handy. For example, sometimes he would sneeze during class, and he would fly up to the ceiling when he was younger. Other times it would help him perform maneuvers. It was almost neglible but sometimes at moments when he tried to stabilize.
Herbalist
(Beginner)In his passion of flowers, and the huge freedom and capability of getting to see rare flowers and herbs come by once in a while, he has learned a lot about them. He also learned how to make tea or how to actually help fight a fever, or other small ailments for that matter, using herbs. Jian has learned a lot from experimenting in his mom's garden house and reading through books. Jian knows a thing or two about herbs.
Hand-to-hand combat
(Beginner)While being in a good relationship with his brother. Like all brothers, this never went without brawling. In the small fights he got in with his brother and once with a stranger. He learned a mediocre way to stand and hold his hands up. He can take more than just a single blow as he knows what pain feels like. Receiving is one thing that made him quite tough, but that also learned him how to throw out a punch or two. While these are still pretty wild movements compared to an actually martial artist, they still hurt a lot. As Jian always says, "Being unpredictable is your greatest weapon."

Jian has quite a slim and tall figure. He has never really done any sports after he got 16. All tough he doesn't have a very athletic body his genes make even the slightest amount of training visible with his body. His very dry muscles and low fat percentage create the relief of his body. He has no tattoos or scars.
Jian usually wears vanilla white shirts with a jonquil yellow trim on the cuffs of his shirt. The trim has two lines, the furthest away from the center circles around. The second is two half circles and right before they collide they curl up their way back like a crescent moon but with a thinner angle. At the end of the curl would be a sewed-in flower pattern of the same color as the trim. Over this shirt he likes to wear a pakistan green waistcoat which also covers his shoulder with small barely visible shoulder pads underneath. It is meant so he can still show some style while maintaining the freedom to freely move his arms around. This buttoned waistcoat has slightly darker buttons and all the edges of it are trimmed with the same trim on the shirt while having the same flower on every line collision. On his back he has a big symbol of the earth kingdom.

Jian Li grew up in a fairly normal environment. His parents were quite rich and successful academically and in business. While growing up with an older brother they were both really happy and hardworking children. Their parents would put a lot of pressure on them during their youth to perform well in school. They both did well and their friends that were also in high circles performed well as well. However there was one slight difference between the two brothers which was also recognizable in their parents’ marriage.
Jian's father was more of a hard mentality. He would learn them that it's always make it or break it, and how to be successful in life. Admirable, but that also made him very struck with pride. Failure would not be accepted, ever. Jian's mother on the other hand was a very relaxed and warm-hearted person. She would always show that there are alternatives ways, and that failing once isn't the end of everything. These personalities also affected Jian and his brother. His brother would become more of the business man that his dad was. Jian, regardless of having the capabilities of being successful like his dad and his brother, decided that this is not what he wanted to do as he couldn't find much joy and contentment in how he lived now.
He would have to do things differently and to change if he wanted to have a different outcome of life. Besides, there were a lot of things that he didn't agree with in modern society. He wanted to be someone of influence but not through business, but through bending. Realizing what he wanted to do, and how he wanted to achieve it. He decided it was time for change, big change. Already aware of his ability to bend he decided to leave his home behind and seek a master of the arts. So he could live his life anew and start over to find his own path.
