First of all, she is not talkative and prefer listening and observing. In fact, she still have some difficulties to speak a good english and she is a very lonely girl. She is also very calm but that doesn't mean she is never angry. She is quite neutral and polite, don't like stuff like politics and is more interested by exploration. Huyana's greatest desire is travelling around the world to see more that the Southern Water Tribe.

She is still a beginner in waterbending as she is still learning the basics with her old master. She learns very slowly, moving water and healing even if she is actually more gifted for the healing part. She dislike waterbending in public, and her master is almost the only one who can see her do it. She think is useful especially if she want to travel one day and that's all.

She has the same tanned skin as the majority of people from the Water Tribes. Her eyes are blue and filled with curiosity. Her hair are dark brown and she has a ponytail. She wear a very large coat with a hood she always keep on her head. She has a scarf on her neck and fingerless glove on her hands. She has also a pullover and pants, and both are a little too small for her. All of her clothes are totally blue. Also, she is quite agile and a very good climber but not very tough.

Huyana's parents are not known and she was raised in an orphanage in the Southern Water Tribe. Nobody knows what happened to them. One day, Huyana was abandoned and found in front the orphanage door and that's all.

She was a quiet child and very calm, but also very naive and easily influenced. She had no friends, and most of the time, she preferred to stay alone to look at the others children in silence, and play be herself. She has known she is a waterbender since she was 4 and nobody in the orphanage seems to know that. When she was 6, she's started to explore off alone the streets. She found a very old master to teach her during an escapade and since that day she is learning the basics form him.
