Kumani Zonza Ikegami

Kumani is a very lawful and orderly individual who is always willing to play by the rules--and might sometimes twist them to her advantage. She is cool and cunning, and exudes a certain confidence and charisma that comes with what she does. Foremost, she believes in order and justice, not worrying who it is that is obstructing either one--if there is someone in the way, she works to remove them, either by force, coercion, or something in between.
She tends to reveal little of herself and who she was other than her name, and she is silently effective at removing problematic individuals from the streets of Zulera City. To some, she is thus called "Steel Justice." However, her charming appearance, cutting-edge skills, and effective removal of criminals has earned her respect amongst most of the denizens who simply want to live their lives, and so despite some of her extreme methods, she is generally well-liked by the populace. She also has a pretty witty sense of humor and sometimes teases by flauting her good looks, which is ironic in a certain respect, considering one of her physical flaws.
Underneath the exterior shell of confidence that Kumani exudes, however, is a bit of insecurity of her own, which is part of why she is so firm in keeping herself as a respected and confident individual. Kumani is blind, and is so adept at getting around and hiding this weakness that almost no one actually knows that she cannot see. She is very alert and intuitive but does hide a shyer side given that, despite her sometimes teasing demeanor, she does not know what she actually looks like.
However, even with that shortcoming, Kumani is not insecure, and is skilled at knowing how to cover up for her lack of eyesight. on the other hand, because of their complete lack of functionality, she does dislike her eyes. She sees no point in liking something that serves her no purpose. On that note though, Kumani is driven by a slight obsession to prove herself to others, so to speak, using both her words and her accomplishments to try and show the world that she is strong. While she has the skills to back up her claims, she always feels that it is never good enough, which prompts her to continue improving, which she does to this day.

Kumani is a master earthbender and a master metalbender because of her acute seismic senses. she wears metal armor with a lot of small pieces, enabling her to bend it off of her body and use them as weapons such as throwing knives/stars, or even caltrops which can be deadly when she aims them directly at people. Similarly, she has very acute skills with earthbending, and even when she's throwing rocks, she has near-deadly accuracy. However, her true strength is in her seismic senses, which enable her to strike the earth and make it strike her enemies, which she locates using her hands or feet.
These abilities make up for her blindness, and she is so skilled at moving around so fluidly and flawlessly that almost no one actually realizes that she is blind. She does not often admit it to anyone, and so those who do find out are often very surprised, given how well she can act like she is able to see.
These senses are also why she is so proficient at metalbending. So keen is she at sensing every detail of the metal in question that she can bend almost any metal to her will in this regard (except of course, metal being used by other metalbenders of her level). Even with her solid stance and heavy armor, Kumani is very lithe and agile, which some say adds to her allure and charm. She can detect many projectile-attacks even in the air, and react to them as swiftly as most seeing people could. hiding her blindness is definitely one of her skills, and a very prominent one at that.  
Another useful trick about her armor is that if she loses pieces, she simply uses metalbending from other sources to draw the pieces back to her, or make new ones. She is very precise in bending the metal to her will, and so she can easily re-create the exact shapes of the armor pieces that she has lost or thrown.

Kumani is a sturdily built woman of clear Earth Kingdom stock, sporting curves around her chest and hips, with a nice little inward curve around her stomach. all of this is covered up except her head and hands, however, as she dons colorful greens and silvers of Earth Kingdom pride. A lot of her armor is metallic, which she uses in tandem with her metalbending, making the gear both offensive and defensive. Thus, her armor is also a weapon, in a way. Underneath the metallic boots, arm-guards chestplate, and shoulder-plates that she wears, her clothing is green and fairly baggy, and she is barefooted. However, few people recognize Kumani this way as much as they recognize Steel Justice, the metal-clad warrior who throws bits and pieces of her armor at her foes like throwing knives or caltrops (depending on where she takes the metal from).
Kumani's jet-black hair is long and straight, descending just below her shoulders. She seldom does it up, but keeps it well-maintained to keep with her professional appearance. She wears a neckerchief around her, well... neck, although has sometimes worn it above her eyes, pretending to handicap herself by fighting "blind", even if she fought blindly on a regular basis anyways.
Easily her least favorite part about herself though is her eyes. While the steely grey-green color is actually rather pretty (as is the cute almond shape they take), Kumani dislikes her eyes because they serve her no purpose other than two prone and sensitive balls lodged into her skull. However, she is vaguely aware that she is rather attractive, even if she has never seen her face (or body) before, and so she sometimes uses that to her advantage.

Kumani was born the youngest of four children to an Earth Kingdom military family. Born completely blind, her parents originally just dismissed it as having an unusual eye color, because the child seemed unusually well-coordinated. However, as she was learning to walk, her parents noticed that something was off, and it was here that they realized she was blind. Initially, they took pity on their child and treated her specially, but as the youngster grew, she proved that there was still a rather impressive sense of coordination. Similarly, she always seemed to know when someone was coming, and thus it did not take them long to realize that she was gifted with the seismic sense that only a few masters had had before her.
The child was a rambunctious little scamp, although she was kept in line by her three older brothers. She greatly disliked when they treated her differently for being blind, and soon swiftly proved that she was as competent as any of them, both at earthbending and at handling herself--she could get around just as well as any normal seeing person could.
However, as she came closer to military age, her parents had reservations about letting her sign up just as all her brothers had. This reservation did not come from her being a woman, but stemmed from her blindness, and they did not want to take chances losing their daughter to something that might have been preventable if she were not blind. However, that was not an answer that Kumani would simply accept, and so she put herself through rigorous training both with her bending skills and her fighting skills, and also honed that seismic sense of hers so well that after two years (when she was 23) she moved so fluidly and efficiently that few people could tell she was blind unless she said something or admitted it.
In the military  she met Ronin, a war hero from times past that she admired and looked up to. She also met Minato, his friend, who seemed to already be a little envious.Like many, Kumani looked up to Ronin for his heroism, although there were some (such as Minato) that looked to her for her allure. She was not the only woman in the army by any means, but she was definitely one of the more attractive ones.
Every now and again she would flirt with Ronin only for her advances to go voer her head, but Minato was aware of them and was jealous of her just as well. It was he who picked up that she was blind first, and brought upon her fierce physical and emotional ridicule because of it, exploiting her weak spots, so to speak, to make her struggle. Shortly after this, he had betrayed Ronin, and by that point, the two masters had gone their separate ways. Kumani did not hear of Ronin again, and like so many others, assumed him dead, considering the description of the incident and how they had not found his body in the frozen tundra, where the odds of survival even in normal conditions was minimal. But whatever the case, Kumani's tale went on, and her adventures had simply ended one chapter and begun a new one, rather than ending for good.
Kumani's adventures took her to the newly built Zulera City, where she once again longed to be able to see--if nothing else, to witness the masterpiece of a city that she now called home. However, in her continued obsession to prove herself to others, she not only went about this by using her charismatic and charming words, but also by her deeds, performing in such a way that her words would be backed up, and that everything she claimed that she had done could be backed by reality, and be an actual accomplishment. One of her greatest accomplishments in Zulera City thus far has been keeping the streets safe by ending the dangerous reigns of criminals and miscreants there.
And that is where she is to this day. She does not seek after fame or glory in her actions, but simply wishes to remind the world that she is respectable not because she feels entitled to being respected, but because she has earned it through her words and deeds. That his her current goal in life, and that is what she hopes to gain from her life as a vigilante warrior in the underbelly of Zulera City.
