Mischevious and silent. Doesn't say anything unless it's necessary. He prefers being alone, but he'll make an exception occasionally. Secretly wishes to meet someone who will actually understand him.

Taeo learned to earthbend from his father, who is one of the greatest masters of earthbending in the city of Omashu. His mother is an amazing martial artist, and when she was younger, an exceptional thief. He learned many forms of fighting from her, along with stealth and agility.

Appearance: (60)
Well built, but not too muscular. Eyes are a bright green, while his hair is a dark brown. His skin is slightly tanned from months of training in the sun. He carries an assortment of weapons with him, his favorite being his dual swords. He uses them to help him earthbend as well. His clothing is a simple, green soft shirts with a sturdy leather belt and black pants. He has shoes that muffle his walking, which come in handy when he's forced to steal. His hair reaches shoulder length, and he ties it back to keep it out of his face. He hates his long hair, and one day hopes that he can find a pair of scissors in the trash, where he often scavenges for food.

He grew up the third oldest in a family of six children. He had an older sister who died protecting him when a man tried to mug them. His fury at this injustice makes him irrational at times. He comes from a family who is very poor, and helps them as much as he can doing odd jobs around the city of Omashu, sometimes even sending messages into other cities. During dinner, if there is not enough, he'll give his food to the younger ones. His mother is pregnant with the seventh child, and his father is constantly working in a mining town a few miles from Omashu. He and his mother farm in their backyard, and often sell the crops. He is known as "Farm Boy" at school, because there are few families who farm in Omashu. He hopes that if he can earn enough money, he'll be able to finally leave this town and explore the world. He's oddly fascinated with firebending. His home is a wooden hut with a roof that is continually groaning and creaking and he worries that one day it will cave in. He tries to support the roof with stone pillars at the weak spots. Taeo isn't proud of his family, and doesn't make friends so he won't be embarrassed when they see his poor living conditions. He dreams of the rich homes and clothing that he sees many youthful people walking around in. He is constantly trying to impress the ladies, but to no avail, because most of the pretty girls are wealthy and would never waste their time on a poor farm boy.
