Personality: Yan Lin is calm, mysterious, and serious. She has a pretty big temper, but it takes a lot to make her mad. She doesn't trust people very well. She is very perceptive, and very cunning. She is also smart and good at lying. She loves to fight and practice her bending.

Abilities: Yan Lin is a very talented young firebender. Yan Lin is very perceptive so she can use her surroundings to help her fight. She is also cunning so it helps with sneak attacks. Yan Lin's smarts help her in battle too.

Appearance: Yan Lin Ruolan has been considered small but forceful. That is because she is only 5'6" and weighs 105 pounds. Like most Fire Nation civilians, she has pale white skin. She has a athletic body.

She has dark black hair. It is tied up into a spiked bun. Her eyes are an amber color. She wears red fingerless gloves. She wears a red leather top with two straps that hold it up, and a red-brownish leather skirt with a red loincloth. Under her skirt are brown tights. She wears normal brown leather boots.



History: A woman had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her amber eyes sparkled as she looked at her mother. Her hair glowed with the sunlight. This little girl was soon named Yan Lin Ruolan.

Through the days of her baby years Yan Lin grew more and more. By the time of her toddler years she was a spitting image of her mother. Yan Lin loved to run around the house, while her mother did chores around the house, and her father would work his stand at the market. He was a wealthy merchant. So she was a wealthy baby.

Four years had passed. Yan Lin was at a festival. She was watching a firebender show off his skills. Later that night, Yan Lin and her family were in there backyard. She was punching the air, imitating the firebender she had seen earlier that night, after awhile she punched and a flame blasted out of her fist. Her father and mother were both surprised. She kept punching and out came more flames. After 5 years of life, Yan Lin found out she was a firebender.

On the day of her 10th birthday, her parents signed her up for firebending classes. She was so excited. On her first day she was appointed a master. Her name was Master Athine. Yan Lin began training immediately learning discipline. Athine always said that Yan Lin was truly a joy to be around because she was always ready on time and was determined.

Years had passed and Yan Lin was getting stronger and smarter everyday. She loved fighting and firebending. Her master was very fond of her. Aithne always said to the other masters how determined Yan Lin was. The other masters, of course questioned Aithne, but she thought Yan Lin was a talented young woman. Yan Lin knew that she only had a few more years until she was 16 and she couldn't train with Aithne anymore.

Those last few years flew by. Yan Lin was finished with her classes. She was a strong young woman. She had not mastered firebending. She still has a way to go. Yan Lin enjoyed life after her classes. She enjoyed going to the beach. Yan Lin also helped her parents a lot. She helped her mom with chores around the house and her dad with his stand at the market.

When she was 18, she decided that she was going to explore the world. She stood on the docks with her family and master. Her parents were crying. The captain called for everyone to be on board. Yan Lin said good-bye to everyone, got on the ship and waved bye to them. She has been exploring for a year now.
