Avatar Story

Looking to start up an original Avatar story that branches off 100 years after the events of the Televised series, have a good idea for the story line, ect. Need to know what to do to help start everything up. (after of course my character has been approved) some of the information on here is confusing for me. Please dumb it down as best as you can, im not stupid but i would rather you talk to me like I am because sometimes its just easier to understand.

I can join. I am in the Fire Nation. We can play as our characters, but I think somebody else is the Avatar so we need to ask (s)he to join us.

Maybe we should request Lei or someone else for a new avatar.

I think we should have an avatar, but I don't think I am in any place to say anything since I haven't been here long.
It's just I think that an Avatar should be active, and post infrequently.

I just joined at the begining of the week and I do not believe I am in the same position either. Buy I will send a PM to Lei.

The primary goal of this story is originality, none of the past people are alive, only spoken of in context to help prove a plot point, ex

Lament: Dur, I wonder who the avatar of a 100 years ago was, durr.

Person taking part in story: It was aang you dope.

Lament: duh, i knew that!

but in all reality the story is to focus on your characters primarily and how they come to interact with my character (i leave the whole enemy friend thing up to you). I don't expect like next day interaction, branch it out of course,
(im sure you all know what to do and im not trying to tell you what to do) anyone may shift events of their character at any time but may not alter others (once again you already knew that) the primary goal of the story is not about the avatar it is about how Lament learns of a plot to assassinate the avatar. I don't want to ruin everything but you can place your character on whatever side you want too. For now I'm calling the bad group the Syndicate, which is composed of people who have a sever mastery over whatever element, weapon, or martial arts, enough to the point that together they could fight and kill the avatar, this isn't an army but a large organization. You may ask any questions or pm me for whatever you need to know but just know that despite this being 100 years later the time we live in and the places we visit are the same, its not like there are airplanes and cell phones. well let me know what everyone thinks.
