Motivation for Roleplay

Okay, so I think the general problem is that people are randomly roleplaying, and we're not sticking to one main..theme, ya know?

So we should come up with ideas for a good roleplaying theme.

The typical is the fire nation against the world, but we're New Chapters, we're anything but typical.

I'm thinking more along the line of an allegory, for Russian events.

And here's how it goes--

The Earth Kingdom is overcome by a dictator named ( name ) and orders wars against the Fire Nation and Water Tribe.

The Earth Kingdom symbol is changed to a chisel and foot. ( Hammer and Sickle )

And so forth.

If you must know, I got this wonderful idea from the book "Animal Farm". I thought the allegory for this book against Russia was fascinating, and so I came up with this odd little roleplay.

If anyone wants to try it, we need dedicated members to help form the roleplay.

Good idea Lei, I think your analysis is spot on, we should adopt this so called "theme" to enhance our role playing content and add a little meaning to what were doing.

As this would greatly affect my character who lives in the Earth Kingdom, but was born a waterbender and born in the Water Tribes.

Will there be some sort of announcement or something when everything is decided?

It seems pretty obvious to me that announcements shouldn't be necessary. You'll either have the people who want to be part of this making it happen or it won't happen. And if a few players are out of the loop on it, that's only more realistic, because few people in the world actually know what's going on.

I wouldn't say that. Now a days many people know what's going on. I just don't want people to feel left out. But, this is not my call.

I would join if this were going into effect.

Yes, activity is becoming a major problem.
I need an active Earth King and any other Lord/Chief if they're inactive.

I might take on the role of the avatar, and become far more active than I have been.

Liao has a topic up in a fourm and he said he wants somebody from either the southern or norther water Tribes to be the next Avatar. if they wanted to apply they had to PM him. But I asked him and he said he will consider anybody.

It's fine, I'm sure someone could be a greater avatar than I.
My only conflict with activity is actually participating in someone elses roleplay.
I like imagery, and for that I need an interesting RP thread to use.

Not to mention -- I'm horrible at starting an RP.

That's not exactly what I meant - the Avatar will have to come from one of the Water Tribes. I meant it in the way as perhaps you can make a new character.
