Personality : (40) Often very energetic, Tanu is a very happy person when he wants to be and very serious when the situation calls for it. He prefers to look at life with a calm attitude and usually solves problems in unusual, imaginative ways. His thoughts sometimes wrap him up in them and he will get so focused on the them he will forget what it was he was doing. He always enjoys a good joke but knows when it goes too far. His sharp wits help him in any situation and he could probably climp up a canyon with only a backpack, a small rope, four pieces of metal, and a canteen full of water.
Abilities : (40) When Tanu was only four years old, his father began to teach him about weaponry. Tanu was taught how to wield a club, use a knife, use a spear, use a sword, and, most important, a dual sword, one that looks as if it is one sword but is actually two. Not only can he use weapons with amazing skill but Tanu can also waterbend. He began waterbending at the age of five. Ever since then he has gotten better and better, eventually surpassing his master's skill level with ease. (Although it should be said that his master was not a very good waterbender in the first place.)
Appearance : (60) Tanu was blessed in life and this blessing was that he was very handsome. His face was angular but kind and was often red from the cold. Normally his skin was a tannish peachy color, not appearing strange but instead it seemed to go with the rest of him, as if it appealed to the rest of his features. He was small for his age, only four foot nine, but he was slim and muscular from his training in weaponry and waterbending. His hair was a black as dark as the night sky and his eyes a livid violet, of which rivaled any amethyst. His nose was slightly crooked, as it had been broken before, but it gave him a kind of battle-scarred look. Most of the time he wore a deep blue parka, as blue as the ocean, with matching pants that had pockets on either side. He wore boots made from sealskin leather and which were as light blue as the sky on a completely clear day. A scar ran down the length of the back of his right hand, an injury from an accident while training.

Weaponry and Other Gear:
Name: Albitr
Type: Dual sword; a sword that looks like only one but is actually two swords
Material: Most do not know, as the blade was fashioned long ago by the spirits. Its true material is diamond, though.
Description: The blade is slightly curved, not as much as a katana but close. Also the blade is completely void of all color and sparkles in any light. The hilt is made with silver inlaid with gold and the crosspiece is shaped as a sea serpent. The grip is bound in leather, so as not to be uncomfortable and at the bottom of the hilt is a small pommel in which a beautiful sapphire is set.
Abilities: Can cut through almost anything, only not being able to cut through other diamond or the other half of itself. Albitr weighs almost nothing, thus making it very easy to swing it extremely quickly. Its diamond in its blade can make it transparent or translucent and acts as a great mirror.
Creator: It is an ancient relic, having been forged when the spirits still roamed Earth and lived with the humans. It was forged by a spirit named Feror, the spirit of minerals and gems. It was lost in the ocean for a very long time, but it never rusted and was discovered inside an iceberg, suspended in the frozen water. It was chiseled out and used by the people of the Southern Water Tribe. It has thus been passed down from father to son ever since, which is how Tanu came upon it.

History : (120) When Tanu was born it was said that he had been blessed by the spirits with quick and curious mind, for he did not cry and simply stared around when he was born. Someone had to flick his feet to get him to cry, as it is known that if a baby does not cry when it is born that it would most surely die. By the age of two, Tanu could perform feats of agility kids six times his age could not do and could use so many words, he was thought to have been born with the mind of a scholar. At age four when he began his weapon training he was more than a natural, he was stupendous. He could dodge, roll, stab, thrust, parry, throw, slice, and fight as well as any grown man. When he began waterbending he would sometimes face his master and each match would end the same: by Tanu devising some clever way to throw his teacher off-balance and attack with completely imaginative styles. When the boy was six he was taught how to cook and became so good at it that the entire village would come to him for advice and he would teach them, always his pleasure. By age eight Tanu was placed on the Tribe Defense Squad and soon became a captain of his very own group of warriors, most of which were three times his size and age. At ten, Tanu went to study with Grandmaster waterbender in a different tribe away from his own. He and his master soon became close friends and often had sparring matches in which the winne was always different. This has continued to this day and Tanu continues to learn from his master.
