Personality: Korri is very controlled, very warm, and very outgoing. Those are his three main traits. He has mastered the spiritual and emotional states of bending, allowing for very powerful and devastating attacks. However, He also has no control over the physical side, forcing him to weaken his attacks, lest they go out of his control. This also leads for him to be careful with his emotions and his actions, for any stray emotion could cause mist to form, any careless action could cause a jagged spire of ice. This can be dangerous for both him and any people around him.
However, he has one fatal flaw; he is very, incredibly cocky, to the point of arrogance. He will often hold back in fights for the sole purpose of being able to brag afterwards. He will also issue challenges to most everyone who would be willing to fight him. He is also very sarcastic and mocking, often engaging in fights he doesn’t mean to do to his attitude. If anyone of lower than average intelligence combats him, he will laugh at them and walk away, refusing to even talk to them. He can be condescending at times.He is an extreme playboy, his rugged good looks and sarcastic wit attracting all kinds of ladies. However, he only sleeps with those that are powerful; this is called Megalophilia.
Abilities: Despite his warrior-like appearance, Korri’s greatest weapon is his mind. He is a very keen thinker, able to quickly discern an opponent’s style and technique by just seeing them. In the same boat are his psychological abilities; being a psychologist as his primary job, he is able to quickly determine what makes a person tick. There likes, their dislikes, what they fear, what they enjoy … the mind is as putty to him. This is a great advantage in any fight.
However, Korri is also an extremely powerful bender. He has mastered the spiritual side of the bending arts. This translates over to incredibly powerful bending. However, he has not mastered the physical side of the bending arts, which means no control. As such, he has massive untapped power, but must keep it all under constraints, as he might not be able to
control it.
This is the reason he prefers the lance to attack and defend; the defined tips and thin shape of the lance emphasis control and precision, something that is needed for Korri. Don’t get me wrong; spiritually and emotionally, he is under strict control of himself, meaning he will never show emotions unless he wants. But he cannot control his bending fully, meaning disembodied fog will sometimes appear, as will random splotches of ice. He specializes in Ice and Mist, able to create claws of ice out of thin air and clouds of mist out of nowhere.
He is also very adept at lance combat, able to pull dazzling displays of raw strength and power. That’s why he uses ice; it is firm, inflexible, and inexorable. He uses powerful swings of his lance, along with various spires and shards of ice, to break down his opponent.
Appearance: He has incredibly rugged good looks. He has cropped brown hair, underneath which are a pair of very intense brown eyes. He hides these behind a pair of black sunglasses, custom made by his father. His face looks intense and tanned from years of combat. He has a single scar across the bridge of his nose, achieved from a battle long ago. He wears typical Water Nation garb, supplemented by a wide brimmed hat. He is muscular, but not thick. He is really tall, about 6'5, and dwarfs almost anyone who comes close to him. He is 250 pounds of solid muscle, built on a lean frame. He does have a broad chest, however.
His lance is something to behold. It is made of pure steel, with a spike at the end of the blade. The blade is curved into a hook at the tip, making it easier to catch an enemy and throw them, and also makes extracting the blade more painful. The spike is serrated and is a weapon made for killing a foe. It is colored a deep blue, all throughout.
History: He was born to normal, average parents in the South Pole. It was a completely normal, average birth on a completely normal, average day. But he was an exceptional child. For starters, he never cried, not even as a baby. He started to walk when he was a mere 9 months old, completely bypassing the crawling stage. He started to speak very soon afterwards, at the age of a year. His parents, needless to say, were proud.
He had a hunger for knowledge, and particularly that of the human kind. When somebody said or did something weird or different, he would constantly ask “Why? Why did you do that? How did that happen?” Eventually, his knowledge of the human mind became so great, he could discern what makes anybody tick minutes after meeting them.
He grew up relatively normal and average, except for his remarkable talents and skill in waterbending. It was so great, in fact, that he was inserted into the army at the ripe age of 16. His parents, ever so proud, bestowed upon him his lance. However, he quickly quit, as a life of fighting just isn’t for him.
When he deserted, he also left his town, heading for the next town over. There, he set himself up as psychiatrist, using his intimate knowledge of the human mind and psyche to help many people with their problems.
However, after twenty-odd years of helping out other people with their problems, Korri had one of his own; he was bored. And that boredom was overshadowed by an even greater problem; wanderlust. He wanted to get out on the road, see the sights. So, he sat up packing his office, and set off, taking up once again the noble art of fighting.
