Personality: Akodo is a deeply serious man, with an uncompromising attitude and very static black and white viewpoints concerning proper behavior and societal justice. Nonetheless, the core aspect of his personality is his duty to the Nation of his birth, and his exceeding loyalty has served to inform his actions. This sense of duty extends o every aspect of his life, and he is a man of few creature comforts, preferring only quiet contemplation and light instrumentals as preferred entertainment. On the hunt, it is a truly canny individual than can escape his two decades of experience hunting benders, and his unique blend of martial styles and tactical insight allow for significant success in his role.

Abilities: Akodo is an accomplished tactician and swordsman, although he is by no extent a true master. Nonetheless, in matters of pure pragmatic battle, Akodo excels, forgoing finery of form for mastery of function. The art of poison, ambush, stacked odds, and pure savagery all have their uses, and Akodo is an artisan at combining them to the ideal mixture. Likewise, he has been schooled intensively, and honed through experience, the art of hunting and combating benders. This experience allows him a large degree of immunity to the bending arts, meeting raw force and bending skill with deflection and surgical aggression towards joints and tendons - sapping a bender of the movement necessary for their forms.

Appearance: Akodo is a tall, lean man, with a cropped head of hair shorn short - no more than an inch in length. His face is rather unremarkable, save for a small series of scars alongside his left cheekbone (the result of high velocity rock shards). His eyes are a dark golden brown, and his high cheekbones give him the appearance of consistently examining the object of his attention. Despite his lean frame, he is finely muscled, and his hands are deeply callused and rough - testament to thousands of hours of sword drill. He is most times glad in simple robes, although depending on his opponent he is not above armor orany stage in-between.

Material: Refined Meteoric Iron
Description: A simple sword to the casual observer, but a dangerous one nonetheless. Made of an incredibly dense ferric alloy, commonly referred to as starmetal or meteoric iron, Oathkeeper is a dense blade with an incredibly sharp cutting edge. Nonetheless, the density makes it a heavy sword, and difficult to wield with any sort of grace unless accustomed to the unfamiliar weight. The hilt is bound in fish skin, with the rough surface providing a sure grip. The guard is a simple crossguard of the same metal as the blade itself, with the Akodo family motif emblazoned in the center of the guard.
Abilities: Being incredibly dense and carefully honed, Oathkeeper is a formidable weapon against an armed and armored opponent. In keeping with this, the blade is quite capable of shearing through light metallic surfaces lacking proper reinforcement, such as light armor plating and weaponry. Heavy armor is beyond it's cutting ability, as well as dense materials such as blocks of metal or hard stone.

History: Born to a proud lineage of Fire Nation nobility, all premier Firebenders, he proved very disappointing when he was found to be lacking in that essential spark integral to all benders. Nonetheless, he was instructed as a noble in all the finer arts of service to the Nation, and showed a great deal of promise in strategy, tactics, and swordplay. Groomed for command, he was given a place among the young officers of the Fire Nation army, being promoted to Captain for meritorious service and a talent for comprising units of enemy benders via... non-standard tactics. Serving in this role, the young Captain was eventually noticed by high command, and was raised to a new post within the Nation - as Commander of The Grass, the network of Fire Nation agents spread across the four great countries. As one of the eight Commanders of the Grass, Akodo is tasked as a hunter of benders, relying on his knack for sourcing targets and achieving results to speak for him in the uncertain coming days.
