Status Update

...I'm not leaving, or anything so serious as all that. This is more of an emotional hiatus notification than anything else. I had a relative pass away yesterday morning. We were very close, although I hadn't seen her in a long time. It's just now setting in for me that now, I won't get to see her again.

While I'm dealing with this, I'll probably be on the site more often, as writing - and by extension, roleplaying - is a calming practice that usually helps me cope with a whole heck of a lot. However, if I come across as sullen, terse, uninterested or snappish when out of character, I apologize in advance: I'm working through some stuff, and that doesn't always make me the most reasonable person. Still I will do my best not to take it out on anyone by accident, and keep things to roleplay only.

I'm sorry to hear this, I know what it's like to lose a relative and we all have our coping mechanisms.

Just wanting to post a general update - a girl can't grieve forever. I'm now back, and will be doing my best to keep up with any and all roleplays as I recover.

There seem to have been some changes in my absence, though I've yet to see the extent of them; nonetheless, I'm happy to see new members and new staff, and look forward to sharing stories with the lot of you!

Welcome back, Zhifeng. I'm glad you've chosen to return. Much may have changed, but New Chapters is, as it always will be, New Chapter.

I hope we can rp, share stories, and just talk in general if necessary.

Very sad to hear about your relative :'( but once again, I'm sure the people of New Chapters will accommodate to your wishes in such a tense period of time.
