Personality: She is brash, rash, rude, and opinionated. She is cutting in her replies and quick with her tongue. Her tongue is as sharp as her arrows. Yet, despite all that, she is a good person. She has a kind soul, but it is surrounded by anger and pain, quickly inflamed by the barbed insults of others. Despite this, she has the heart of a true firebender, power fueled by the warmth of life and love, not anger. She hates the anger inside her, and fights against it, but it is an integral part of her nonetheless. The only time anger does not rule her being is when she is with her bow.
Abilities: She is an incredibly skilled archer, able to hit a moving target at 100 paces. For this, she was promoted to Lt. rank of the Ranged Division of the Fire Nation army, otherwise known as the Pheonix Core. She utilizes customized arrows and a very powerful compound bow to deal devastation to her enemies from afar. She is also proficient in the raw form of firebending, utilizing sharp blasts and cutting slices of fire to deal devastation to opponents at mid range. However, when it comes to close range, she is woefully inept, being capable of nothing more than whacking the enemies with her bow.
When it comes to lightning, she is only capable of using it with her bow, seeing as how this is the only time she is capable of being perfectly at peace. She uses it with her Metal Arrows, and is capable of sending an arc of lightning wherever she is capable of shooting.

She is a breathtakingly beautiful girl. She is the type of girl that, in movies, everybody pauses until she continues moving. She is the girl next door, the one that got away, all those cliches. Yet, she is not ALL that beautiful. A wicked looking scar is on the bridge of her nose, reminiscent of some ancient accident. Her eyes, though bright red and girly with long, beautiful lashes, are deep and full of a suffering beyond her age.
She carries two weapons: one is a simple dagger, hidden in the folds of her skirt, used in her rare close combat confrontations. The other is her bow, and what a beautiful work of art it is. Completely golden, with three strings of varying tensile strengths, is is one of the most beautiful bows in existence.

Description: It is a beautiful compound bow, colored gold and shining with an inner light. It is a sacred weapon, created by the spirits of the Crescent Moon Isle to combat forces ages ago. As such, it is nigh impossible to break. It has three strings, one a dark black, one a bright gold, and the other a fiery red.
Abilities: Other than being incredibly powerful, it has no innate abilities. However, it's true power lies in the customized arrows that Yumi has created.
[-]Lightning Rod: These are straight, pointed metal sticks that Yumi uses in conjunction with lightning bending to create a powerful arc of lightning.
[-]Explosive Arrow: These are wooden sticks, topped with a mixture of gunpowder and explosive chemicals, tied in a bag. When uses with fire bending, the arrow will fly fifty yards before exploding.
[-]Flare Arrow: This arrow is made of a soft, malleable metal that melts at a very low temperature. This arrow can be used mark positions. Because the metal burns for a long period of time, it is also useful for lighting dark areas.
[-]Fist Arrow: This is the only other arrow that Yumi uses in conjuction with lightning bending. It is topped by, instead of a point, a square metal brick. When charged by lightning, it will send an incredibly powerful electric charge through anything it hits. However, do to it's weight, it has an incredibly low range.

History: Yumi Ai Yamato was born on a small island, North of the Fire Nation. She was born to two firebenders, and had a sister. Overall, she led a normal, happy life. That is, until she was five. In the middle of the night, her house was invaded. When she tried to resist, they killed her sister. Her parents were unconscious. She was forced upon their boat, where she was forced out of her clothes and taken multiple times. Her tears mixed with their seed as she started the first day of her miserable life.
After that day, she was sold on the slave market as "A young supple women, with plenty of years left!" That sentence was usually followed by a cackle of some sort. Regardless, she was eventually bought by a 70 year old man, living in some remote corner of the world. She was forced to work for him, day and night, dressed in nothing. She was his maid, his nurse, and his sex slave for 7 years. Every day, she would wait on him. Every night, he would rape her. It was a vicious cycle.
One day, however, he died. Not having anything other than a maid's outfit she had found, she escaped, being a stow-away on the next boat that came through. She passed through her homeland again, where she found ... nothing. Her house was gone. The only thing she found there was a single, golden bow. Where did it come from? She didn't know.
She decided to join the army. She paid for her next ride to the Fire Nation Capital the only way she knew how: with her body. All the sailors had a turn. When they finally arrived, Yumi couldn't leave the boat fast enough. She lied about her age - an easy feat, given her maturity and defined features - and joined the army at the age of 13.
Years passed, in which she soon became known as the army whore and the best damned shot the fire nation has ever seen. Over the course of five years, she elevated herself to the Lt. position of the Pheonix Core, an elite group of archer's tasked with taking down enemy commanders. However, despite her newfound money and position, her soul and body could never forget her early years.
