Personality: Fu is polite and generally obliging to all who he meets. Although he will smile and appear cheerful, there is always the distinct air about him of melancholy, which sometimes borders on the morose. Even so, he will rarely question others and is not one to voice his opinions loudly unless it is something he truly disagrees with (though this is very rare, as he usually assumes most people know better than he does). He rarely states that he longs to have a position of greater use and worth, though his apparent intense interest in things and people that are in positions of strength/power/wealth/luck lead him to appear a little over attentive, merely because he is curious to know/hear/learn more. When on the borderline of being cheerful, he is quite content to sit quietly and listen to others, though tends to speak up more when he is comfortable with the company he is keeping. He tries, however, when meeting new people to try and converse with them, though sometimes can say the wrong thing without meaning to. He is trying his best to resolve this. To relax, he enjoys fishing, though is not very good at it.

Abilities: He is actually surprisingly good at handicrafts (he enjoys wood-carving as a personal hobby and other simplistic things as such – paper folding is still an unreachable art however), and it must be said, that he is exceptionally good at keeping things clean – especially if he’s the one to have accidently caused the mess. He can cook simplistic dishes, and knows the very basics of most army-related activities. (Weapon-smithing, horse-training, tactics and skills – this is not to say he can perform these tasks well, just that he is aware of them and could do them if desperately required to).

Appearance: Fu has messy jet black hair and dark brown eyes like the rest of his brothers. His hair, reaches his ears, and although brushed everyday, usually retains a look of general “bird’s-nest”-ed-ness. His appearance otherwise can be described as generally normal and lacking distinction. He is someone who could blend into the crowd without a second glance. He is of average height and average build, though he has no distinctive muscles to speak of (and is sometimes a little depressed over that fact).

History: When you are the youngest of a collection of seven brothers, it can be a little difficult to make your mark in the world. What when you have several of those brothers either running successful businesses (a tailors, tea shoppe, jewellers, long-distance trader and an architect) and your eldest brother rising firmly through the ranks in the army, there is little ground left that hasn’t already been covered by your elder’s shadow. Still, although that was something that certainly would play at the young Fu’s mind, he tried not to let it bother him, as he decided that he too was going to become widely successful, just like his brothers.

However, perhaps he was born under an unlucky sky, or someone decided it would be funny to give him awful luck. His skills were certainly not the best as he was growing up, as he struggled to be truly athletic, he was awful with money (usually losing it), had terrible luck when it came to gambling and tended to be as clumsy as an awfully clumsy thing when hand-eye-co-ordination was required. By the time he hit his teens, he was more than a little desperate to prove himself among his brothers.

At this point, he had rather set his sights on the possibility of joining the army – much to his eldest brother’s protests – though his brother need not worry, as Fu wasn’t even able to complete the entrance exam before being asked to leave. (Frankly, a broken foot after falling down a flight of steps would put any army officer off). Fu tried two more times to join the army (much more determined to become a soldier than any kind of entrepreneur – perhaps because he realised there was the slightest more possibility of him becoming a soldier, than a businessman). Unfortunately, it seemed such a thing was not to be the case and he was rejected twice more.

Eventually, however, after much persuasion and a few incidents where he caused a mess and swiftly went about tidying it up, it was decided that perhaps it would just be best to keep him as a general assistant, to help wherever it was needed, and whomever in the army required it. He has become a regular sight here there and everywhere, and is quite content when it comes to being helpful however he may be. Admittedly however, he still wishes he could perhaps be like his brothers and be successful like they are. But the chances of that in his current position seem slim at best.
