Personality: Rin is a very independent young girl with a lust for life, always looking for a excuse to explore the world around her. As a young teen she is stubborn and determind to prove herself a worthy fire bender, even if she is a girl. Rin is terribly loyal to those she cares about, but because of her low self esteem, she finds it hard to trust others, and it takes her a while to warm up to someone. She is cheerful most of the time, but can be deadly serious and cold. Rin hates help, even when she clearly needs it. Rin is very proud, and sometimes lets her pride get the better of her. After all, she is still young, and hates being bored, she loves to laugh. Rin is impulsive, short tempered, headstrong, and like her element, if you cross her, you WILL get burnt.

Abilities: At a young age Rin showed extreme talent in fire bending, mastering difficult moves quickly and with ease. Rin also has trouble controlling her bending, if she is really upset, her control fades and she lets her fire run loose. Rin is not a big fan of weaponry, but will use a sword if necessary. Rin, to her embarrassment, is also a gifted artist, and doesn't talk about it alot, as she says it is 'weak' or 'girly'.

Appearance: Rin is actually quite beautiful, she has long, dark brown hair, almost black, and dark amberish gold eyes that crackle like flames when she smiles. She has long, thick dark eye lashes and not a blemish on her face. Her skin is a pale shade, which makes her more likely to blush. Rin usually wears her hair up in the classic fire nation style with it up in a bun, but she likes to have most of her long curls tumbling down her shoulders. Rin actually has a nice figure, and often young men commenting on it, to her frustration. Rin dislikes the idea of dresses, and tends to wear red, loose fire nation pants, held up on her hips with a belt with the fire nation emblem. She also wears a scarlet coloured crop top, which she likes because it is easy to move in. Rin has a small beaded bracelet her father gave her for her 5th birthday around her wrist at all times, and usually snaps if someone asks her to take it off. Rin was said to look alot like her mother, but has her father's eyes.

History: Rin was born in a small farming town near the captial of the fire nation. Her parents were not very wealthy but tryed to give their daughter every opportunity to have a better life. She first showed signs of being a bender when at the age of two, she burnt down the neighbor's home. Rin as a young child spent most of her days alone, as she was bullied and teased by other children. Rin as a little girl was quite shy and quite, opposite to her current self, often hanging around her mother and going to work in the captial with her father. One day when she was in the city, around the age of 7, she saw some students of about 14 practising fire bending with thier master. Interested by the display of complex moves and difficult positions, she decided she wanted to join in. She tried the moves while the student's laughed at her, but that soon ceased as they saw her nail everything with ease. The students' sensei had been watching, amazed he approched Rin's father asking if she would like to attend the school each day for free. Her father happily agreed and from that day on, Rin went to the school, bit by bit becoming more strong, loud, passionate and determind to be the best. As she began her teenage years, she began to grow more conscious of her looks. She didn't think she was pretty, and often felt sad as she saw some of the wealthy girls in the captial wearing beautiful expensive clothes while she wore home made rags. Even though she is beautiful, Rin believed she wasn't, and decided she would no longer worry about such petty things. She decided she wanted to do good in the world with her bending, and help other humans of all elements.
