Perspicacity

Solei dressed herself in her blue, furry coat and pulled on warm boots to save herself from the cold. Her coat hung on her body, as she was very tiny and so had few curves to hug to her body. She pulled on her boots and then shoved her fingers into her pockets to avoid them being bitten by the cold. She took a backwards glance to her younger sister, Ryuuzaki, who looked to be sleeping, a smirk played on Solei's lips as she new good and well that that probably wasn't the case at all before heading out the door.

The sun had not come up just yet, which meant it would be very quiet out in the water, which was a plus for Solei as she moved over to a tiny canoe and started to set up the two seated boat. She knew good and well who was behind her and didn't even need to look backwards as she called out, "Are you going to watch me get ready to paddle out, or are you going to help?"

Turning her brown orbs behind her she looked onto the lone figure that was in the early morning of the day. Childishly, Solei stuck a stuck a tongue out at her, closing one of her eyes as she giggled at her younger sister.

Ryuuzaki pouted as she made her way over to help her older sister.

"How'd you know it was me?"

She took a seat up front, her idea of 'helping' was to sit in the canoe and make it that much difficult for her sister to get ready.

Chuckling at her question, "Because I'm the big sister, yea? I always know." She joked with a bright grin to her younger sister who settled into the canoe comfortably.

Solei handed her the two oars before freezing the snow at her feet to get a good push off, but a whine and a tug of her coat made her stop in her movements. She turned to see Bukk sitting on the snow bank, as usual. He never liked the sea, and never enjoyed his Mistress going out to it, even if it was to feed the trio.

"Bukk, be a good boy. We'll be back soon!" She said, yanking her coat free and then pushing the canoe into the boat roughly, a bit too much power in her push off as she hopped into the boat as well. Solei let out a cry of happiness as the canoe rocked from her initial push and leap into the canoe. The Water bender then rose up some waves to keep them on their shaky and unstable path.

Grinning, Solei finally settled them. Snatching an oar she started to stroke out, using her entire arm, all the way to her shoulder and upper back to push the water through, though being a water bender had a tendency to have benefits to rowing, Solei had an easier time, and she had to make up for her younger sister.

Ryuuzaki squealed as the canoe began moving. Carefully turning towards shore she waved at wolf-leopard.

"Bye Bukk!! Be good and we'll bring you back something tasty!"

Righting herself so she was once again sitting forward, Ryuuzaki placed the oar in the water and attempted to help her sister row. Her arms burned with fatigue after a couple minutes and she instead occupied herself with playing '20 questions'.

"Solei? Why is snow cold? And how come only some people can waterbend? Do you think mom and dad will let me get a pet?" Her questions jumped from one topic to another as she attempted to get all her questions out before she forgot any.
