Personality: People describe her as a sweet, caring girl with a golden heart. She is always helping out anyone, anyway she can but she normally likes to do things herself, rarely asking for help. Tanaquil is always smiling, even when she's sad. It makes her feel better and she hides her emotions, never to tell someone when she's down. She also loves laughing and is crazy around her friends. To her elders, she is polite and a bit shy. Although, like everybody, she can get very angry quickly and can hold grudges for a long time. But she can be a very forgiving, understanding person

Abilities: Her father was a skilled Waterbender and she learned from him before he passed away. But her, only being 8 when he died, honed her skills by finding some Waterbending Scrolls, as well as watching some more experienced Waterbenders of her tribe. One day, she wishes to be able to bend Ice as well.

She knows some skills on hand-to-hand combat, but she isn't very good. If she is ever in a fight, she much prefers her Waterbending skills.

Height: Tanaquil is very short, standing around 5'3''
Weight: Being short, her body size is small as well. She is between 95-100 pounds.
Eyes: Her eyes are a more wide, hazel color. They change from a green/brown to a green/blue depending on the day.
Hair: She was born with dark brown, almost black hair. Over the years, it lightened to a bark colored brown with blonde tips at the end. It's naturally curly and is kept cut at around her chest.

Tanaquil is a short girl with nimble, dancer-like limbs. She has a skinny figure and with small feet and hands. She has a child-like face and people often mistake her for a younger age, which she takes as a complement. She also has naturally tanned-skin, which she takes pride in! A few scars appear on her arms or legs, but those are from useless, little cuts as a child. Under all her hair, she has a reddish birthmark on the back of her neck.

Weaponry & Other Gear:
Currently, Tanaquil has only the water as her weapon.

History: Tanaquil was born at night, with the help from her neighbors. Her mother and father watched her very closely while she grew up, due to her being their first child. They would get her anything she wanted and made sure she had the best of everything. That was tough, because her parents didn't make much money but somehow, they always pulled through.

She was a daddy's girl from the start, falling asleep on his chest and always hanging on to him. He loved it and even suffered through playing dolls and dress-up with her. She once used her mother's make-up to give him a makeover. That didn't look so good on him.

Although, her neighbors had children, but they were a bit older with her. And even though she would play with them, she didn't get much out of it because they quickly grew tired of her childish games. So instead, she started playing with her made up friend named Chilly. The two did everything together and her parents didn't mind that she talked to no one as long as she was happy.

Once her younger sister was born, she helped out a lot. Tanaquil would stay up as late as her mother would let her to help her mother feed the new baby or to help her mother clean. Being at the age of only 5, she couldn't do much, but she tried. Plus, it's the thought that counts.

Tanaquil was so happy she had a sister. She didn't want a little brother, but if she had gotten one, the outcome would still be the same. Her made-up friend soon 'Moved away' once her sister reached the age of 2. And although Tanaquil was now 7, she still played dolls and dress-up or whatever she wanted.

On the day of her 8th birthday, her father gave her a necklace with a silver heart on the end. It was a locket with the two of them, laughing together, just looking very happy. It became her favorite thing and she vowed to never take it off unless it broke somehow. They were going to have a party later so her father went out to hunt for some fish. But, he never returned.

No one really knew the cause of his death. Some say he fell into the icy water and froze. Others say he slipped on some ice in his boat, knocked himself out and drifted out to sea or into an iceberg. The death of her father took a huge toll on her, maybe even more then her mother. Her sister, Soun Lee, was too younger to understand all of it. Tanaquil slipped into a depressive state, not talking or eating much. She became very lonerish and would barely come out of her room. She lost sleep, and weight quickly and her mother noticed the changes.

Her mother, determined to help her daughter, called the best Healer in the Tribe for some help. Luckily, the Healer had a nice, long talk with the daughter and eventually coaxed her out of her state. Tanaquil rebound quickly, but only remembers her birthday as the day her father died.

Although, to this day, she still has some hope that her father is still alive out there, somewhere an she is determined to search the world for him.

Sample RP: She opened her hazel eyes to see her little sister standing above her. She smiled, her eyes brightly lit. "Wake up Sissy!" She called, reaching down with her tiny hands and gently shaking her shoulders. She groaned and flipped over but her sister kept repeating herself over and over. Finally she got up and stretched.

"Alright, I'm up, I'm up." Tanaquil said, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She quickly got dressed into her plain white, long sleeved tee shirt and placed her thick brown jacket over it and her jeans and black shoes. She found her mother, working on a piece of clothing. She kissed her cheek and smiled. "Morning mother" The tanned girl said. Her mother mumbled a reply, the end of a sharp needle hanging out of her mouth. Her sister tugged at her hand, begging her to come outside. She finally agreed and headed outside.

Edited for format. While this is a good start, I'd like to see more in the history. I'd like to see some more depth in there. What was her childhood like in more detail.

Additionally, the abilities section is for your character's major skills. Mostly, this is restricted to abilities you would want to use against other characters, such as bending, martial arts, and things like pickpocketting and such. Please specify the skill level of each of the character's skills. In this case, Waterbending skill would certainly be on the list.

As I consider this a work in progress, I am withholding my judgment for the moment.

I APPROVE. Good edit. We should thread. I'm sure one of my characters could provide some good plotting possibilities for her, vis-a-vis her father. You'll need to wait for two more staff approvals before you're officially accepted. Please be patient.
