Thief's Paradise

Izanagi Yutaka	Izanagi let out a lopsided grin as he entered the great city of Gaoling. It was a thief’s paradise, filled to the brim with the rich, the wealthy and even the famous, all with pockets ripe for the picking. To blend in better, Izanagi was wearing traditional green Earth Kingdom civilian clothes. They were plain and ordinary in every way, this made him quite unnoticeable in a crowd. After all, the last thing he wanted right now was to draw attention to himself. He started his rounds, scoping out various stores and locations, looking for “opportunities.” As he walked through the streets, Izanagi managed to pickpocket a couple of rich merchants and even a noblewoman as she browsed through a silk merchant’s goods. It was a good source of income, but Izanagi’s main goal in any city he visited, was to pull off one big scam or heist. After which he would usually leave the town for a while. Of course, such scams took quite a bit of planning and he first needed to get a lay of the land. Izanagi made a mental map of the streets as he walked through them, paying special attention to any locations that were suitable for scams or heists and also possible escape routes. It started getting late and the local merchants and shopkeepers started closing up. Izanagi smiled as he patted his pockets, he had made more than enough gold for one days ‘work’ and he felt he had gotten a good look around the part of town he planned to ‘operate’ in. He turned towards the nearby inn, quaintly named ‘The Hospice’. He walked into the building and stood at the desk in what he was sure was the reception area. He looked around before ringing a little bell for service. He didn’t pay much attention to the inn or anything in it, as his mind was already busy hatching new schemes as his hands lightly tapped the gold in his pockets.

Today was a rather slow work day for Yuhi Tategami, or Yuhi of the Rising Star. She sat, her "uniform" - a black corset, high heeled boots, and fishnet stockings - uncomfortable on her. Her head was supported by one hand, the other thrumming the tabletop impatiently. 'No business all day ... is The Hospice doing badly? I wonder if I can convince Hammy to-' Just then, the service bell rang, snapping her out of her reverie. Her head swung around, and "... shit. He had to be cute."

Mentally shaking herself, she walked - or more accurately, glided - to the stranger. Her voice was low and singing with melodious beauty, though tinted throughout with self-disgust. "Welcome to The Hospice! IF you need anything, don't be afraid to ask!" Her smile had become rather fixed, her teeth gritted as she spat out the mandatory greeting.

Izanagi Yutaka	Izanagi, who was leaning against the counter with his arms crossed, turned his head to find a young a girl approach. She was quite the pretty young thing, tiny compared to his 6’6 frame, but then again most were. Despite her tininess, he couldn’t tell for sure how old she was, mostly due to the very revealing outfit she was wearing, which showed off quite a nice body underneath it. She issued him a greeting and Izanagi got the impression that she wasn’t really thrilled to work here. He stood up straight and turned towards her, with a lopsided grin. “A room,” he said with small nod, “and a meal, if that’s not too much to ask?” he continued politely, carefully watching how the young woman would react. He made his way to a nearby table and took a seat, placing his coin pouch along with his feet onto the table as he sat back in his chair and took a deep breath, relaxing a little. “Interesting choice of uniform,” he remarked, “must be the reason this is the only inn open for miles.” He continued with a chuckle as he placed his hands behind his head, flashing her a grin and a playful wink. Izanagi had a flirty personality, even if he meant nothing by it at times, and although he wasn't sure how old this young girl was, he decided that a little innocent flirting wouldn't hurt anyone.

Her face turned bright red. "W-what are yo-" She shook her head. "C-can I get you anything, Mister, um ..." She was still bright red, feeling ... well, shy, most unlike her normal self. At his uniform comment, she flushed, but this time in anger. "Don't mention it." she growled, more like her usual antisocial self. "I have no choice in the matter." She glanced down at her uniform in disgust. "Thankfully I'll be getting out of this hole soon."

Izanagi Yutaka	“Hit a nerve did I? Don’t worry, I wasn’t being serious,” he chuckled, “a hot meal would be great.” He continued, placing his hand on his stomach. He was quite comfortable at the moment, kicking back after a long day, but he didn’t have much to do other than starting a conversation. “Get out? You don’t like it here? Why don’t you just … leave?” he asked in a curious tone.
