Arashi	The soundscape was building higher and higher in bass from the pounding of the drums and the strumming of the strings. There was a primal feel to the air as figures pulsated back and forth to the rhythm. Performers danced on the stages, bending marvelous images of dancing dragons, the colors changing. Most fire benders could not bend anything other than red fire and neither could they. The illusion came from their fire reflecting on glass prisms, filtering them to specific colors. It was the only bar that did that. Arashi danced to the beat, his long hair swaying back and forth. He was trying to have a good time, but he was preoccupied with his visits with the Generals. He was hoping something would come along to help him unwind, or at least divert his attention briefly.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	Zulera and Mei did have to part ways eventually, at least for a bit, but whatever the case, she found herself drawn back towards the Fire Nation capital once again for reasons she could not explain. in the hotter climes, she had lightened her clothing a bit, although she got a shirt with short sleeves this time, had a pair of plated gloves, and incidentally, was barefooted. she wanted a way to celebrate on her own before the even bigger celebrations, and for now, an ol' club would do the trick nicely. finding an interesting looking one, she ducked inside to see dancers and performers kicking up quite a storm of wonderful arrays of colors and noises and the likes. she decided to kick back and relax. She would abstain from drinking this time, in the event that she may have been impregnated, but for now, she was just going to come in, enjoy the atmosphere, and put her feet on the table... and wiggle her toes. xD

Arashi	It seems the spirits themselves had smiled down on Arashi. A bartender pointed over to a woman who had her feet up on the table. A celebrity of sorts was in his place of all places right after his chat with the Generals. Truly he had some mad god to thank. He whispered in the bartender’s ear. The man nodded and sent out a drink to the Avatar. The server approached Zulera and placed the drink right by her feet. “The owner told me to give you as many free ones as you want to celebrate the big news.”She said as she pointed over to Arashi. Arashi bowed his head politely in Zulera’s direction. He then sat down at nearby stool and waited. The curiosity should do the rest.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	Zulera gave in to temptation, deciding that she'd enjoy a couple more drinks till she was sure she was pregnant. she drained whatever was in the mug, enjoying the kick that Fire Nation beverages had to them. she approved. "Sop tell me a bit about him." she cooed, nodding her head in the same direction as the woman had pointed. "what's a man like him doing in a place like this?" how this statement was interpretted was up to the imagination. that was typical Zul... riddles galore.

Arashi	“Like I said he owns the place. That’s why he’s here.” She answered coldly. She seemed to be fairly busy and possibly did not recognize who she was talking to. “He likes to go out and dance, have a few drinks, see what happens, the usual. He also owns the brewery that made the drinks. You know Arashi right? His names plastered all over the place. “ As she headed away from Zulera and headed back to towards Arashi, he slipped some coins in her hand as she passed him. It was a sleight of hand not seen in most high society. He ordered some fire flakes; he liked them better than bar nuts. The brand was familiar to him but he could not put his finger on it for a while. Finally something clicked in his head. His life of crime started with these, he couldn't get anything to eat back then, and now he sold the damn stuff. He smiled warmly at the thought of it. Stealing was the least of his crimes, and the least fun.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	Zulera just chuckled. "the fact that the Avatar doesn't even know him means he's not as big a hotshot as he's led you to believe, mayhaps?" she said nonchalantly, taking another swig. "just my two bits." she frankly didn't really care how seriously (or not) people took her. she knew who she was, and that was really all she cared about. other people were just pawns in her operations, close friends, or just in the way. she leaned her head back, letting her wavy brown hair hang behind her. she put her gloved hands together and put her bare feet back on the table. here she had come not expecting much, and so there wasn't much of a surprise had when things thus far, remained otherwise eventless. it was not so much that Zulera was upset; just that the situation was roughly neutral in every aspect.

Arashi	It seemed that she was much more elusive than he had thought. He did not like to lose, but it seemed neither did she, if she thought of it as a game as well. But what should he have expected, she knew she was bigger than he is…for now anyways. So, he took a bottle of rum in one hand, and the fire flakes in the others and approached. If he was going to make the first move, he may as well keep his dignity. Ironic, he felt more dignified with a bottle in hand and a swagger to his stride than he did with a bow. A reason why people saw him as a bit of a playboy or eccentric perhaps. The club was one of the only public places he could get away with this. His “arena” was the other place of course. He did not ask to sit by her, he did not have to. It was his place after all, but he decided to not seem arrogant and at least gave a light wave. He did not think it was arrogant at all, it was his property which he earned, and he was entitled to it. But others did not see it that way. He still had the advantage, he knew more about her then she did him, even what was now the most intimate of her secrets. He had the winning Pai sho tiles here. He examined her hand and saw the ring on her finger. “No betrothal necklace? Well it makes sense I guess.” He let out a warm sigh, his yellow eyes glimmering with a restrained excitement. “Lucky man. Lucky man.”

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	This selfsame owner seemed aware of who she was, which hardly surprised her. only a complete idiot didn't know about the Avatar and/or her misdeeds. if he wanted her attention though, he would have to work at it. that was the game that Zulera played. Just like her avatar status, or her good looks, these were seldom ever things that she boasted about, simply because she didn't see a need.everyone had different opinions on beauty, and even on the Avatar. what they were, she did not care. A common misconception people had was that they understood Zulera's inner workings. Not even Mei Fong himself could boast of this. this often led to their defeat at her hands, and she liked it that way. She seemed like a normal deck of cards, but she always had a handful of radical wild cards thrown in. it was a matter of when they got played that screwed other people up. He had the homefield advantage, as he knew this place better than her. however, that had never fazed Zulera either. "it's all how you look at it." she laughed, "Everyone's opinions differ, but I suppose that a man like you can skip right past the pleasantries and get down to business, given that you own the place, aye? I mean, it's usually not just anyone that gets to have the Avatar's company." she chuckled and took another drink. "how can I help you?"

Arashi	“And what business do I have with you? I do not even really know you other than what I’ve read. I’ve learned not to trust the papers, me and friends of mine have been painted quite unflatteringly at times. We are much better than that, or worse. Depends on how you see things. No, to have business would imply I have an ultimatum. To have an ultimatum would mean I would need to know who I am dealing with correct? I am simply intrigued, why come to my bar? Of all the places, why here? Especially given the coincidence that you arrive here so soon after I have learned what I have from the good General.” He gave a light chuckle and a wide smirk, playing coy with the lovely lady. “No, I am here to unwind. And maybe, you can help me get out of my mind for a while?” he said as he held up his bottle. “How ‘bout a toast for love, good drink, and fuck all!”

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	People always came to Zulera looking for something. sometimes it was power, strength, skill, or some other service of that kind. other times it was as simple as friendship, a combination of which had been what Mei had sought from her when they met, although he received much more than that. That was how dealing with Zulera was. it was a total gamble where some won more than they bet, and others lost more than they bet. "hear hear!" was all she said to the whole spiel. she raised her glass, taking another drink. she had had a few already, but she was a resilient fellow. it would take a lot to get her drunk. even then though, she was watching. surely he had more on his mind than simply congratulating her on her betrothal. there was always more... always.

Arashi	There was still a feeling of suspicion it seemed. To be fair, that was something they had in common, Arashi always suspected an ulterior motive from people. He did not get to where he was today by thinking little of things. Everything had to be learned to the greatest detail. But some investments must be made slowly, their rewards ever the greater for it. The tiles were still being laid on the board. With a smile he clinked his bottle to her glass and took a swig. If it were not for the silk robes, it would be unlikely someone would see him as a Count. “I do have to ask though, why Mei? He is surely handsome and brilliant, but seems a bit…tightly wound. Opposites attract? That’s just between you and me though. I’ve met him only once and the rest I hear from rumor and from his service record abroad. He told me he was already looking for a home for you two.” He said with a wink. “I don’t think I’m gonna find the perfect gal to settle down with. Well the perfect gal is probably easier to find than the perfect alimony arrangement!” he said laughing.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	Zulera gave a hearty laugh. "why not? sometimes it's not what you know about someone, but what you don't know, that makes them interesting. Other times it's a combination of the two, and other times still, it's a matter of knowing how to cope with differences, minor or major. still..." she curled her toes. "you see, there's a beauty of being so... chaotic. you are recorded less. you live irregularly, and you get less concrete information spread about yourself. most so-called facts about Avatar Zulera are little more than silly rumors. if I was looking for a home, then I would continue my 30-year hunt." She laughed and raised an eyebrow at his final comment. "oh, I suppose I should take my top off then? I used to do it semi-regularly. I'm not afraid to do it again... I've got a lovely set of tattoos on my back that a lot of people like to see. granted, I can't really help you in your search for a lady... not really my thing, y'know?" she took it all casually, and danced with the subjects in a crazy swing. these were Zulera's riddle games.

Arashi	“Ah if I had a gold piece for everything that people don’t truly know about me…actually I do have that. I was just saying that ol’ Mei Mei said he wanted a home “Where it always snowed in winter.” I offered to sell him one of mine. Hasn’t gotten back to me on that though. I’ll look into that with him later maybe. Or not, whatever.“ He let out a playful gasp. “Honey, I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.” He replied as he playfully loosened his shirt a bit. He did not have any tattoos, not anymore, but people often asked about his scars. In fact, one of his burns was where a tattoo used to be. He liked this game a lot, more than he probably should. But he may as well try to beat her at her own game if she was trying to do the same with him.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	she chuckled. "well... that's one of those things in the which time will tell. admittedly, I didn't really give him a clear idea of where I wanted to live, and he did imply that a lot of where we ended up hinged on me. why did you decide to concern yourself with such matters? Avatar or not, it is just another wedding for a stranger, no?" she laughed, shimmying up next to him. "alright then... she said in a sexy tone, "feast your eyes on THIS!" with a deft movement, her shirt (and bra) were gone, but she had her back to him, her arms crossed. she revealed an intricate set of back tattoos that looked very tribal in design, and were very much Water Tribe. it was a unique set of patterns coined by Zulera's mother, though that was not a commonly-known fact either. it was one basically only known by those who Zulera told it to personally, and those who were creepy stalkers, of which thus far, Arashi was neither. "you can touch... just don't get too frisky." it wouldn't be the first time she had fought off someone for that, but she didn't think that he was that type of person... especially given that he was trying to warm up to her it seemed, not the other way around.

Arashi	“Lucky, lucky man.” He said softly, his warm hands, even warmer through bending, like hot stones on the back at a massage parlor. His hands were not the smooth hands of a noble, but the rough ones of a worker, a man from the streets. The hands were rough but not too coarse as to be painful to the touch. As they massaged they scratched the back pleasantly. He traced his fingers over the tattoos for a moment, and then continued with the rub. “Is there significance to these patterns or just a wild pattern for a wild woman? It is a good thing I do not allow press in here. Not that you’d care of course, but these…situations could make weaker people gasp.” He finished with an impression of a conservative man gasping at the scandal. However, Arashi only invested in these things if they paid out in the end. Zulera would not, not as a woman at least. She could maybe be rewarding as a bender and as an icon, or even just a friend. A rewarding friend as either a form of status, or someone to actually socialize with, he was not certain.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	A variety of hands had touched or massaged the Avatar's back before, and they all seemed unique in their own ways. It didn't even necessarily mean that she was going to get intimate with them, or that she had. she might have been "Free-spirited", but she wasn't THAT free, especially not anymore. the skin on Zulera's back, or her whole body for that matter, was quite the opposite. it was soft; smooth... almost unusually so. it was one of a few things that she totally had bragging rights about, even if she never actually bragged about them. she stood up briefly, adjusting her chair so that she was leaning against the back of it, her back to him, and then he began touching her. she had made the motion with the chair simply to cover her bare breasts--not so much for shame, but more because she didn't want to draw unnecessary or unwanted attention to herself. she enjoyed the massage, and made that abundantly clear with a comfortable sigh. she seemed to especially like when he traced along her tattoos, but that was something she liked anyways. "a little bit of both." she cooed, not moving. "they can tell a story if you read 'em right." her back was muscular and well-toned as well. she was an athletic woman, and it showed through her nice physique. "and aye... that might cause a scene..." she touched her bare feet to the floor. "wouldn't want that..." her clothes were lying beside her on the table (her pants and gloves still on of course). she seemed unusually relaxed.

Arashi	“All the more incentive to come back again. The stories they could tell would be amazing. Fire benders give the best massages. But you already know that by now don’t you? The heat relaxing the muscles, the passion in everything we do. And they always know their women.” He said as he continued the massage, playfully running his fingers up her spine, trying to get her to shudder slightly. His hands were a sauna pulling away the knots, his warm breath hitting her flesh. And then all of a sudden, he stopped. He had paused and waited for her to look back, wondering why he stopped. “A demonstration. I’ll maybe go again another time. I’ll make it even better if you indulge me in a request. Just one, a favor to ask of you and dear General. Nothing scandalous, just a little give and take for all of us. If you say no, no love lost and I’ll be more than happy to help with whatever you need, you want it, you will get it. “he spoke as he placed his warm hands on her shoulders, gripped slightly and then let go.

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	Zulera chuckled. "I might just do that. fate seems to have a nice way of guiding me places when I close my eyes and take a step. I dunno though... there's a different flare to each the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, and Fire Nation... picking which one is best would be like saying which of my eyes I liked better." it may not have even been one of the best metaphors, but it could be interpretted in many ways. either way, this massage felt quite nice, and there was no denying that or even misinterpretting it at all. when he stopped, he got her attention, but she didn't turn around, instead just raising her head and perking her ears as if to indicate that he had gotten her attention. "you gotta be a bit more specific, prince." she remarked, "I'm not going to make any promises regarding the general, because what he does with his life is up to him. as for me... what are you looking for from me?" she knew that this had been coming, and that she had set herself up for it. granted, she had done so on purpose, and was ready to play the game.

Arashi	“An offer that takes no effort on your parts, other than saying yes. If you end up having a big wedding, let me sponsor it. I will pay for catering, locales, everything, I will even pay for travel of both of your loved ones. Free, no tricks. I gain from it from exposure of my brands, you benefit by saving you and your husband’s money for your honeymoon, buying a house, and anything else you two buy. I would suggest a big wedding by the way. Let’s face it; you are bigger than you can help. People treat you and your image in ways far beyond your control. Be public with events like this and you actually live your life on your own terms instead of being slandered, harassed. Besides, an Avatar marrying a top military official is going to be big. Why not profit off of the exposure? Everyone wins. Of course go ahead and discuss it with your fiancé. You do not even need to sign a dotted line.” He never liked having to do sales pitches, he was not that bad at it, but it somehow felt slimier than the normal business he was involved in. But he felt he made his case well enough and had to wait for whatever happens. Even if the deal did not go through, he opened a channel between two very influential people and could maybe try again another time. If he played his cards right, he could even someday convince the devilish Avatar in his “Restoration plan.”

Zulera Joanna Tallarico	Zulera listened, although she nonchalantly asked "should I put my shirt back on?" if he wasn't going to massage her back anymore, there was no point in keeping it off. otherwise, she remained quiet and listened to what he had to say. "incidentally, I do not like getting great amounts of attention, and I especially hate being the center of attention unless I am trying to make people play the guessing game. I do not care what people think of me either. if it affects me, I am more than happy to correct people... for I am right and they are wrong." she paused. "isn't to say that I don't like the offer; I am just wondering what the endgoal is. there is surely something going on if you wish to warm someone up to the point of planning and paying for her wedding, aye?" attention was not a very good selling point for her. While she was very confident of her self, her looks her appearance, and even her personality, but she was not one to like drawing attention to herself. if it happened inevitably, that was just how the world worked, but she never explicitly tried to do so, for she did not like that idea. "any more details?" she asked. her tone was gentle; curious. she did not seem like she was bout to turn him down just yet.

Arashi	“There is still a guessing game to be had here. Why is she marrying a government official? Will she tip the scales of one nation? Is the marriage real or strategic? How come, the announcement was out of nowhere? We never heard of this relationship before! Will this strengthen or compromise the leadership and power of our Firelord? If you like to keep people guessing, this is on a global scale. You gain as I said before, a free, big budget wedding that cannot be rivaled. There are absolutely no consequences. At the very least, the free gifts, food and drinks for you and your friends would be something. And a clever lady like you could surely find other ways to exploit this. The wedding could be private as well I suppose, I would still pay for it as long as it was at least public that I was the sponsor. I would not fund as much but still generously. If you have any suggestions to sweeten the deal for both of us then I am all ears.” He laid back and waited. The premise was agreed to be interesting on both sides, now the haggling was to commence. Both had the sly, street smarts. Both had the know how to move around in a public system. More importantly it seemed, neither liked to back down. This would take a while and the deal could go either way. But he would ride it out; at this point he got the bare minimum of what he wanted. Now he was trying to go big.

I already have people guessing on a global scale. I have laid groundwork for a myraid of things throughout the world, though seldom gone through with them. I've got plans to take over the Southern Water Tribe; to burn Caldera City. the only differences are the ones that have been done versus the ones that have not yet come into fruitition. I still have many good cards in my hand." truth or lie, it hardly mattered. Not to Zulera at least. "Whatever the case, I'll take you up on that offer. I might as well make good use of going big or going home. Frankly, I am far too chaotic to be terribly choosy in where a party in my honor is to be held. If you really want to fund it, knock yourself out. you've got yourself a deal." she paused. "Granted, I'm not about to go out and be your little advertiser or anything. I'll give credit where credit is due if anyone asks of course, but I'm about to go out and broadcast to the world who you are and whatnot. I figure with the type of extravagance you have in mind, that would be a big enough advertisement of its own, no?" she chuckled, leaning her feet on the table a bit. "granted, I can often be swayed with a good massage, depending on what type of swaying you're looking for." This was not even necessarily implying that she would change her mind on any of her earlier statements as much as it was just her wanting a massage. xD

Arashi	“I’ll come over to make the arrangements then. I’ll drop a letter off in a while, just let me know when you’re going to have it and where you want it and I’ll set it up for you. I look forward to this new friendship of ours. Now that that pesky business is out of the way for now, shall we continue?” with a sigh of relief he outstretched his hands once more, now glowing slightly. He slipped his hands between the shirt she had just put back on, asking for more. He went back to rubbing her down. Since he was so pleasantly satisfied, he should return the favor.

I've travelled the whole world, and don't have enough of a preference as to where I would want it. no place is more or less significant than the one before it." Zulera could not help but smirk at his second remark. she did not even need a response, and the moment his hands reached under her shirt, she pulled it and her top completely off again, leaving her bare from the waist up (and the ankles down). if he had a reason to return the favor... she was not complaining.

Arashi	“Ah I understand what you mean. I don’t always like staying cooped up in the stuffy upper quarters of the Capital. I have a few homes of my own where I can get a change of pace. But from the sounds of it, I may need to move out of the Capital. Or was the burning down Caldera City thing you said earlier a joke? Or maybe I should enact my “restoration” sooner? But I’m done with talking about work now. I want to learn more about you. You have not been to my club before, but I got you pegged for the nightlife type. What gets you to unwind other than this?” as he asked the last question, his hands did their job on Zulera’s back. She was very muscular, probably great in bed. But he would not inquire about such a thing. Well, not right after talking about hosting a wedding at least. Despite the power she had and the life she lived, there was not as much tension in her back as he would have expected.
