The Truth Behind the Tale

Alright, kiddos. Now that I have a moment, I’ll spend it to give you folksies a scoop on what exactly went down in the recent week or so, since it seems that only a small and not entirely accurate portion of the story is being told here.

First off, Zhin and I are good friends, and we have known each other for years. It’s like Kimmi/Airi or even, dare I say it, Noko and Loki. The reason Zhin’s IP sometimes shows up as mine is because of a networking thing that I do for her so that she can access the chat. That is the only real evidence that anyone has that could possibly support that we are the same person. Otherwise, look at any of my posts and any of hers. They are not under the same IPs. Really, such a conjecture would be like saying that Loki and Noko were the same person just because a few of their posts match IPs.
Summed up—Zhin cannot access the chat from her normal IP, and so I link her to mine because hey. We’re friends. Friends help each other out. Otherwise, she posts from her own IP and all is well on the Western Front, yaddey yaddey.

With that out of the way, let me move on to what could actually be used as grounds for banning—my behavior. I am slightly confused how quickly Noko could go from wanting me back here to suddenly hating my guts. I admit that I am sometimes arrogant or a jerk or whatever else. We all have our issues, our bad days, and whatever else. If anyone has had an issue with my attitude or my behavior, no one addressed it to me, and so I honestly did not know. I am not an unreasonable admin, and it’s not like I would permaban someone just for speaking out against me. If anyone has issues with something I do, then by all means, please let me know. I’d rather tweak a few of my quirks than go through a huge ordeal like this again, y’know? xP

Other than that, I can’t think of anything else that I have done that could possibly warrant a ban. I didn’t issue any crazy threats or ban anyone the way Novai did (that was why he was banned) I do not recall harassing anyone, but if I did, I apologize, and let whoever I harassed come forward and speak now, or forever hold their peace.
But come now. We at least had the decency to tell Novai why he was being banned. I had to break back in just to find out what I was being accused of.

And similarly, despite Kano being a jerk, we didn’t ban him either. We just made him a nub only AFTER he swore never to return (which he hasn’t.)

I do not know what Zhin did other than what she told me (all she said was that she was banned and doesn’t know why). My theory is that she might have done this, and since it was on chat, it was under my IP, which in turn got me banned, which in turn could lead people to believe that we were the same person. If this is the case, then I apologize for not clarifying this earlier. If this is not the case, then I’m at a loss.
There have been plenty of times where she is here and I’m not, and definitely more of the vice versa. We pop on at the same time a lot because we are often both online together chatting in different places, and usually one of us suggests hitting up NC, which in turn brings the other person along.

So… that’s my explanation for both my behavior and the so-called identical identity of me and Annie. While I am not sure how quick Zhin will return here, know that if anyone has any problems with me, something I do, or a certain way that I behave, please let me know. Like I said, I am willing to listen to and cater to reason. It spares everyone the trouble of dramalamalamalama, and spares a whole frightening ordeal like this all over again.

So yeah. I apologize to anyone I might have offended or whatever, and hopefully I have clarified the whole identity thing. Let’s not let personal issues get in the way of all the forum stuff. With this, I am sort of informally requesting my admin position back, or if that is somehow unreasonable, at least my colors and positions back. I do not seek revenge or any further damage, nor am I holding any grudges. I wish to be seen as the equals that we are; nothing more, and nothing less.

Provided I don't get instabanned again for no reason, I am more than happy to negotiate here, in chatango, email, this thread, etc etc.

Allow me to put my two cents into this *takes off mask to reveal the same exact face* It's not an abuse of power if you'd ask be because well you were doing what any admin might've done, although next time just get the facts first before smashing down the ban hammer.

Anyways~ you did what you thought was right, but just think ahead. Besides, it wasn't a perma ban right? The way I see it is that it was a simple mistake and now it's resolved so no ill-will should be lingering. But what do I know? I'm just a former admin of video games. (They're Byond games if you're wondering so don't worry).

well, for the record, I was still a bit upset when I wrote this mostly because I wwas not entire sure why I had been banned.
I've wasted spent enough hours and time on this site that it was sort of a prat of me that I felt was missing when I was gone. (yeah I might be overdramatic about all of this, but eh.)

that said, I think most of it is cleared up now, and so almost all is well on the Western Front, as I like to say.
