Personality: Ryu Minoru is very honest. He does his best to make sure he always tells the truth. He is quick to trust, and hates when people lie to him. He will be loyal to his friends, but he rarely forgives people that directly lie to him. He believes that "honesty is the best policy," and he believes an honest person is better than a rich person. He would rather hear the terrible truth than be told comforting lies and later find out about it. Honesty will make even a stranger become a friend, and Ryu Minoru is friendly towards everyone he meets. Ryu Minoru is not afraid to say what he thinks, and will be honest even if it might hurt someone's feelings.

Abilities: Ryu Minoru is an expert Waterbender. He is skilled at controlling water, freezing it, and also controlling ice. He has trouble heating water, but it doesn't bother him because he prefers the cold and would rather freeze than boil. Ryu Minoru also has decent skill in healing, as he learned some advanced Waterbending techniques. However, his skills in bloodbending are limited, as he spent most of his time learning healing techniques and practicing his Waterbending skills.

Appearance: Ryu Minoru is about five feet and seven inches tall. He has dark, black hair that is somewhat short in length. His eyes are gray in color, and often appear to be a shiny silver color. He wears a long black cloak over his dark blue shirt and pants. 

History: "Ryu" meaning "dragon" and "Minoru" meaning truth, thus, "The Dragon of Truth." Ryu Minoru was born in the Southern Water Tribe, and has spent all of his life there. His father was the Tribal Chief, and being the only child, Ryu Minoru was next in line to become Chief. When he was four, Ryu Minoru began to learn the ways of Waterbending, being primarily taught by his Father. His father taught him that honesty was very important, and even said, "If you ever lie, you will be no son of mine." Because of this, Ryu Minoru strives to always be honest, even when it may have negative consequences. Ryu Minoru has always wanted to see the rest of the world, as he has spent all of his life in the Southern Water Tribes, but was afraid to mention it to his father because he didn't want to face disapproval. When Ryu Minoru was eighteen, his father died. Ryu Minoru then became the Tribal Chief, but his longing for the outside world never faded away. Now, as he is twenty, he has decided that he will explore the world, but return often enough to still fulfill his role as Tribal Chief. As he has spent years learning the art of Waterbending, he is very skilled, and hopes he will be prepared for whatever the future holds for him.
