He has his share of secrets, and generally tries to be an honest man. He gets very uncomfortable when someone does not trust him, and is very persistent in trying to gain any trust he loses. He is a patient man, however, can will not explode till he is pushed to his limits. He is a teacher of the bending arts, both earth and otherwise, and is thus patient with children and younger kids. He is also very protective of those he loves or cares about, and is slightly overprotective of his adopted child, Kozue. Ultimately, he hides and insecurities he may have under a veil of smug confidence, and so often keeps his cool. As a higher-class individual, he is rather neat, and keeps Kozue dressed in her best, even at the tender little age of 3. As a young adult, however, he also has a wild side, veiling more of his real emotions under layers of confidence and perhaps even arrogance. He is friendly, but competitive, and has a potpourri of emotions. He finds it difficult to express himself most of the time, and since he veils his emotions, it is difficult to tell how he actually feels, which tends to work against him more than anyone else. Luckily, little Kozue keeps him happy enough, and he takes very good care of her, taking her well-being very seriously. Abilities: As an aspiring scholar, Naseru is well-versed in the forms of the various bending disciplines, and is an budding earthbender himself who is greatly improving his skills and working on learning metalbending. He is still limited in the amount of metal (and earth) he can bend, but while he is not a master, he is still quite proficient in his bending arts, being fairly well-rounded because of his extensive knowledge and research on the subject. He avidly continues to research and study these tricks, as well as other scholarly things, for he dreams of one day being a teacher, perhaps even at the prestigious Ba Sing Se University itself. He is cunning and intelligent, always a brilliant mind eager and hungry for more knowledge. He is similarly very confident and almost cocky, although this is actually a guise that he uses to hide his real emotions, which he himself is not even quite sure of at this awkward age yet. However, he is clever enough to know when to try and express himself and when not to. Furthermore, his adopted little baby helps keep him down-to-earth enough. Appearance: Height: 5'6" Weight: 116 lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Black Skin: Pale Naseru is a well-dressed and well-groomed man with slender features and sharp eyes. most of his long black hair is combed back into a ponytail, though a few short bands hang over his forehead. He has a similarly slender frame that matches his features, but despite his lack of physical girth, he is very swift and nimble, and his earthbending skills are nothing to sneeze at. he has pale skin and nimble, dexterous fingers. He is also well-toned because of his earthbending training. He is on the smaller side, although he might have a few years of growth still in him. with a pointed face and pointed eyes, he strikes a somewhat intimidating little shady figure, although his appearance hardly reflects his personality. History: Naseru was born to wealthy parents in the upper ring of Ba Sing Se, and so he grew up receiving everything and anything he wanted or needed. he took an interest in the bending arts, particularly earthbending, and utilized and honed his skills over the years. he extensively researched every piece of information he could find at places like the Ba Sing Se University, and even a few scrolls from Wan Shi Tong's old library. He is aware that there is more for him to learn, but he still knows that one day he wants to be a teacher at the prestigious university. Wishing to teach basics of bending to benders of all four disciplines despite only knowing one himself, he set out on a quest to learn the knowledge of the basics behind the four bending arts and how they would be theoretically incorporated for benders of the respective elements. Naturally he succeeded the most at earth, but he still has moderate success at understanding the basics of the other elements, even if he cannot bend them. He knows he has a logn way to go, but that never stopped him. When he was 19, in a trip to the Fire Nation to research firebending techniques, he ended up also adopting a young Fire Nation toddler who no one thought would get a home. the child was both blind and deaf, leaving her in a dark, quiet, and lonely world. because of Naseru's gentleness and patience in learning to communicate with the child, Kozue bonded rather quickly with him. Given his affluence, he was able to provide abundantly for the child, and despite her blindness and deafness, he has started teaching her how to become aware of firebending. Naseru also kept Kozue well-dressed and well-groomed, so that she could be admired instead of ignored the way she had been as a child. Kozue was fussy for a while, not used to the finery he would dress her in, but after a few weeks, she managed to learn to tolerate it, and now she no longer minds it. While Naseru does not teach her often yet because of her age, he is bent on helping her unlock her full potential, which he has noticed in her. Whatever the case, Naseru is very protective of her, and she tends to feel insecure unless she knows he's around. KOZUE - Spoiler:
Full Name: Kozue Maziki Zenava Gender: Female Age: 3 Element: Fire Birthplace: Unknown; adopted from a Fire Nation orphanage at age 3 Position: None Personality: Kozue is a difficult child to read, mainly because of her lack of communication. Her blindness prevents her from reading, and her deafness prevents her from listening or speaking, and so her world is often quiet, dark, and lonely. She is very curious, and likes to prod and feel things to get a better idea of what they are. however, she appears to be afraid to venture too far from Naseru, who she trusts to a slight extent that a 3-year-old can. While she is disabled, she is not stupid, and she tends to throw tantrums when people do things that she does not like, or when she is hungry or sleepy. however, these are easily resolved if she is fed or put to bed. She is a low-maintenance child, and recognizes people by their scents. Abilities: Other than her ability to recognize different people by their smells, Kozue seems to have a very sensitive sense of touch, and as far as eating goes, she enjoys anything she is given that is edible (and some things that are not, as most 3-year-olds are). Since she is only 3, this is about the current extent of her abilities, although she also seems to have a powerful spiritual connection that is linked to her potential as a budding little firebender. Appearance: Height: 2'7" Weight: 28 lbs Eyes: Glazed white (blind) Hair: Black Skin: Pale Kozue is a little Fire Nation toddler who is often dressed in pretty little red dresses thanks to Naseru. She still has a bit of baby chubbiness, but she is losing most of it quickly, remaining a petite little girl. She also wears sturdy little shiny black shoes, for her feet are just as hypersensitive as her hands, and she walks on her feet. She also has some little lacy socks that match the frills of her little toddler dresses. She seems fond of twirling in these little dresses, and is surprisingly good at it too. She has silky black hair and glazed, white, nearly-featureless eyes. However, even then, she has an adorable little toddler-smile.
