Z. Katara Len	No matter how hard Katara tried to stay by herself, it always seemed that people were getting involved in her life. Sometimes she was fine with it, such as when she was with a friend, but most of the time she was fine with solace and peace, as Katara had very few friends. She was in the Earth Kingdom when she realized that she had made a dire mistake though. Being away from home for so long meant that she had slowly began to run out of money. Since she could not simply swim across the ocean to return to her home to stock up on cash, she needed a better option. She did make her way to a port with little trouble, grateful that she was slowly developing that heat sense of hers. She could now operate on a better level, and could perform certain tasks with ease now. Not that she couldn't before, but now with knowing where she was going, it was that much easier. Needing a job, she approached a group of people loading and unloading a ship, addressing a rather curvy woman with a distinct golden band around her neck. Facing her, she asked the woman if she had any work she could assist with, for a few extra coins. it was a bold move for the young teen, but she felt confident enough.

Sandria Raeya Zahn	The Earth Kingdom was always a reliable place to restock supplies, and even pirates were often able to get away with it in some of the remote reaches. Then again, it was rumored that the Earth Queen had a hand in some of it, and was okay with pirates taking advantage of Water Tribe or Fire Nation ships occasionally, although no connection to the queen has been found yet, and plenty of Earth Kingdom ships have been raided as well. Whatever the case, Raeya and her small crew did not have much incident as they resupplied, swapping some of their gains, both well and ill-gotten, for supplies. It was around this time that a dark-skinned girl in slightly quaint fire nation garb approached her asking for work. "Well..." Raeya cooed, being a rather amiable woman herself, "I think that can be arranged. If you can earn your keep you can get a part of the cut. What can you do?" Katara mentioned a lot of physical labor abilities, as well as a few other things that made Raeya smile. "Hmm... I think that could be good enough. I cannot say that it won't be a bumpy ride, but if you stick with us, you should be safe. There is a reason I am called the Pirate Queen, and it isn't just because it sounds pretty." No, Raeya essentially ruled the seas, freely roaming where she would. She was not necessarily one to go for combat if it could be avoided, but she knew how to defeat enemy ships or avoid ones that outclassed her. She was not a terror of the seas... more just the small and quiet one who slipped under the radar.

Z. Katara Len	Katara was somewhat surprised at how easily this woman had accepted her on board. All she had really done was named off a few of her skills, and then bam. She was on. she hadn't even had to give her name. Katara thought that that might be somewhat important, and for her to her this woman's name. "Oh..." she stuttered a little, "and my name's Katara, by the way." Assuming the woman would give her name, Katara would let herself get to work, which for now included reloading the new supplies onto the ship that the surprisingly small number of crew members were bringing in from the city. Katara did not question what this cargo was, but was able to lift most of it with ease as she made her way back and forth up and down the ship. She used her heat senses to make sure she did not trip over anything, and made sure that everything got placed in its proper location, assuming Raeya instructed her accordingly.

Sandria Raeya Zahn	Raeya did tell Katara to start working on packing away the cargo, letting her know which boxes went where. "Name's Captain Sandria Raeya Zhan," she replied, "but you can just call me Raeya--not even Captain Raeya." Raeya oversaw her crew packing away the ship's cargo (and unpacking a few crates of rotten junk to mess with whoever stumbled across them next), and noticed that Katara was a rather good worker. Not necessarily more so than any other crew member, but the kid knew exactly what she was doing it seemed. Raeya was curious about her eyes, but would ask about that later perhaps. Soon, everything was packed, and one of the crew members mentioned it to his captain. "Right then. Set Sail!" the pirates and (presumably) Katara, as well as Raeya, all boarded the ship. it was a cozy little thing with plenty of room even in the cabins, so Katara would not have to worry about being cramped with a bunch of smelly pirates. Soon, the ship was off on the seas, rocking gently on the waves, but not enough to induce seasickness. Adventure awaited!

Z. Katara Len	"A pleasure then, Raeya." Katara shook the pirate captain's hand briefly before she got to work sorting and packing and transferring the cargo. before she knew it, everything was packed away and they were on the open seas. Katara didn't mind the rocking, as Raeya's ship (the name of which she did not know) sailed rather smoothly. She did not know where they would go in the meantime, other than perhaps that eventually they'd land in the Fire Nation, where Katara would be able to make her way back to her family home. Till then though, she was on the seas. Raeya was even nice enough to give Katara her own cabin. She seemed to have fallen into the Pirate Queen's good graces. She just hoped that there was not some sort of hidden cost or string attached.
