Noriko Tatsumi	Noriko didn't mind the small flare ups, since she figured that the small girl was causing them unintentionally. The only thing she did do was pay closer attention, keeping the flames down to a safe little flicker. Fire responded in much the same way to her own emotions, and so Noriko understood. "How much farther?" She questioned, still following along behind.

Naseru & Kozue	The flare-ups would be easy to control, as Kozue's power seemed to be very closely checked and regulated by the youngster herself. Guided by her emotions, the flames would remain calm if anything, as Kozue was very level-headed with her simple-to-please attitude. incidentally, the extra balls of heat from the fire did not throw Kozue off at all either--if anything, it just augmented her abilities. Kozue's bending prowess was something that Naseru wished to study extensively when he got the chance, but at the same time, he did not wish to turn the child into some sort of freak show or test subject, so he had to always go about it carefully. "we should be getting close. If what I feel is correct, we should be reaching either a tunnel that should take us to the "boss chamber", or with a little diversion of course, we could just break right through to his chamber." there was still plenty of time for said course to be changed, and so he continued to tunnel, waiting for her advice. She'd know combat better than he would.

Noriko Tatsumi	"Straight into the chamber," Noriko responded without hesitation, reaching back to pull her hood and mask into place, "We take the leader by surprise and he's all ours. If he has enough time to raise the alarm, we're done." Then, her flames flickering unintentionally - though not enough to hurt Kozue - she added, "If we are overwhelmed, we escape. Can you open the floor beneath us?" Noriko wasn't sure how far Naseru's skills extended, but she had seen similar feats performed during her military stint. It was supposedly far more difficult to do for other people, but if this young man was really a scholar, one who trained often, it might be doable. She hoped that it would be, anyway. It would be one hell of a trump card. For her part, once the wall was open, she would do her part; getting her blade to the enemy's throat. Noriko often found that men were far more likely to negotiate, with such a safeguard in place.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru nodded. "boss' chamber it is then. and aye, I can either bust us out downwards, or bust us out upwards. up's risky cuz we might land in some building or basement or something; down's risky because we've gotta come up eventually." he seemed okay with either option, and Kozue, being deaf, didn't have anything to add. he was very good at what he did. there were masters that probably did it faster or more efficient, but that didn't mean he was bad. he studied this sort of thing for a living. he'd be a pretty pathetic excuse if he was incompetent--and he'd be a monster if he had taken little Kozue with him without knowing that he could most likely escape with her safely in tow. "alright then... we'll make contact in about 5... 4... 3... a couple seconds later, he had smashed through a wall, almost side-stepping as if to let Noriko strike first. He was not a front-line fighter, but he did have some combat skillz of his own--after all, combat bending was part of bending no matter which way it was painted.

Noriko Tatsumi	Practically bursting out from behind Naseru - she had moved Kozue to the side as soon as the countdown began - the Crimson Spirit charged across the room, right against a desk and over it, pinning the man behind it to the ground. He was well groomed and clothed in finery; clearly well-off. And very likely the one that they were after. Holding her blades to his neck, Noriko glared at him from behind her mask, taking on the silent guise of the Crimson Spirit entirely. Her words weren't needed; the man was already babbling on his own. Some threats, a little pleading and some random proclamations were uttered in a rush, all of which Noriko ignored. "Atone," Was her final word to him, muttered angrily enough to mask her true voice almost frighteningly well. With that, she drew her blades across his neck, splattering her own mask and coat with blood. A guttural scream and a wheeze escaped the rapidly dying body, but then it was still. The man was dead, almost in an instant. She had not held back, since Kozue could not see, and Naseru was a grown-ass man.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru had taken a stance, but it had momentarily proved to be unnecessary. Noriko had gotten the job done fairly quickly. Kozue was blind, but she could sense the movements, and a tiny, surprised gasp from the youngster indicated that she was fully aware that someone had just been killed. Either way, the child remained stoic, as did Naseru, until the deed was done. He began to glance around the room, mentally noting its location. Was it wrong to steal from thieves? "So what now?" he asked her, wondering what her next plan was. he was basically ready to go unless he saw something of interest in the room that he might take. He wouldn't let her stop him either if that happened. "do we book it out, or...?"

Noriko Tatsumi	While Noriko certainly wouldn't find them interesting, or even notice if Naseru grabbed them, there were several jewel encrusted, gilded faberge eggs on the mantle. The gemstones alone would likely fetch a hefty sum of money, should the pieces fall apart on their journey back to the surface. Shaking her head, Noriko pointed to the door, even as she moved back toward the desk. "Block the door for a minute," She spoke in a near order, unintentionally, "I want to see what he's been up to." Without checking on either of the others, she pulled all of the papers out of the desk, systematically going through each one. Occasionally, she folded a paper in half, tucking it into her dark coat for later. Once she was done, Noriko returned the papers to their folders and placed them back into the desk, so that it wouldn't seem as if they were disturbed. "Done," She announced, looking up finally to find Naseru and Kozue, "Let's get out of this hell hole."

Naseru & Kozue	the moment she said block the door, he wordlessly shifted his foot and the opening behind them sealed. He then went about scrounging for goodies, and it seemed Kozue was doing the same as she sensed their surroundings. He wasn't sure what would appeal to the child, but as long as it didn't make noise or give her position away or something unusual like that, he didn't care if she had something. as Noriko sifted through the papers, Naseru stashed a few items of his own. This kingpin's workings didn't really concern him since he had been uninvolved and was not a vigilante or anything. He was curious, yes, but not THAT curious. When she looked back up, Naseru took Kozue's hand. she had a little necklace on, either given to her by Naseru or found herself, but no other evidence of what they had lifted was present. "we going out the way we came, or are we going up?" when he wasn't in a hurry, he could be more systematic about how he went upwards, carefully modifying his path as to not pop up somewhere unexpected. It was only when being chased that he tended to burst upwards in a scramble, but it seemed that the situation would thankfully not require that this time around.

Noriko Tatsumi	"Up, if we can," Noriko answered, nodding at the ceiling, "Either his goons don't know we're here and would attack if they did, or they turned tail and don't want to run into us; I'd rather not stay to find out which." She certainly didn't notice that anything had been looted. Even then, it's doubtful that she would care, in so much as it was taken, but might mind that it was going straight to them, rather than to others who needed it. Still, Noriko didn't say a word, and so it was safe to assume that she had no idea.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru lived a modest lifestyle, saving up a decent sum of money. He did sort of spoil Kozue with fancy clothes, as if compensating the little youngster for not knowing what she looked like, but he cared for her in such a way that she wasn't expecting life to be all sunshine and rainbows. It was why she was here down in an underground den of a druglord, no less. "Up we go then." she motioned for her to step closer to him and Kozue. when she did so, he'd open the ceiling above them, raising them up on a platform and into the ground above them. he had to divert his course a couple of times, but otherwise, eh helped them pop up on the surface again, in what he sensed seismically was an alley, as to not pop up in central square or something and draw unusual attention to themselves. "welp." he turned to her, squeezing Kozue's hand as well ."mission accomplished?"

Noriko Tatsumi	Glancing around, first, at their surroundings, Noriko deemed it to be safe and secure. "Mission accomplished," She confirmed, pulling off her mask and hood, brushing her hair out of the nape of her black outfit. Looking over at the two who had helped her, she offered a nod, "You did well." Then, before heading off and away into the night, she asked, "How might I get hold of you again? Will you be in the same room?" Noriko didn't think it likely, since that particular inn was expensive, but she figured she'd ask.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru nodded after hearing her words. "aye. we did well today, I'd say." There was no hidden implications or anything behind it. They had worked together to achieve their goal, and he wasn't necessarily 'properly creditting' her or anything; just agreeing that they had done well. "I'll be in that room for another day or two at most." he responded to her question, "otherwise, I live near Ba Sing Se University around the Middle Ring. If I'm not travelling and not at home... I'm usually around there." he pulled out a pen and scrap of paper and jotted down his address. He wasn't afraid of Noriko knowing it, for she did not appear to be a criminal, and he was no wrongdoer, unless taking a few valuables from a dead drug kingpin was considered wrong enough to deserve death, in her eyes. "I'd ask where to find you... but it seems unncessary." mostly referring to her more secretive nature. "unless your normal self has a place?" it was just a simple and curious question, and one that Naseru didn't care whether or not he got an answer to, though he figured he'd give it a shot anyways.

Noriko Tatsumi	With a laugh at the quip, Noriko shook her head, deciding to answer honestly. "No place, no. Not here, not anywhere. I patrol the city at night, if you need to reach me. Until then, good hunting," She smiled and offered a salute before taking her leave, exiting the alley into the streets, moving quickly to avoid drawing lasting attention. Perhaps because they had just done a "mission" together, Noriko was far more at ease around the two of them, especially compared to how she had been. In the moment, she would still be firm and military-minded, but in a more casual sense, it would be different. For now, however, her priorities were to find a place to change, and then to treat her arm.

Naseru & Kozue	"and you as well. I'll be on the lookout." He was mostly referring to more information, since that was his specialty. he returned his salute, as even a civillian scholar knew something that basic, especially since her gestures were Earth Kingdom, no less. after she disappeared, he took Kozue and headed back to the room, ready to unwind a bit and muse about what he had just done, and start thinking about what sort of intel he'd seek out next. he indicated to Kozue that they were staying in for the night (it was getting late, after all) and the youngster wriggled out of her dress for the time being. Naseru kicked back, removing his shirt and crossing his legs as he sat on the bed, closing his eyes. Time for a little R&R before heading home tomorrow. The next morning he performed the usual morning rituals of getting ready for the day (and assisting Kozue), and then took himself and the youngster home. over the next couple of days or whatnot, he did not hear much from Noriko just yet, but that gave him time to gather more intel, as well as earn a bit of cash by pawning off a few of the prizes he had lifted from the underground. He didn't necessarily live his life in constant anticipation of Noriko's return, but he did stay alert while he otherwise normally lived his life. She knew his home address anyways if she wished to find him, and he was usually home at nights, which he figured would be teh most likely time they'd cross paths again.

Noriko Tatsumi	It was, perhaps unsurprisingly, several days before Noriko even attempted to call upon Naseru and Kozue again. Though it might be surprising that, when she did, it was in the middle of the afternoon, and she was dressed as a civilian, rather than a masked crusader of justice. Knocking on the door at the address she was given, Noriko waited at the doorstep, looking fairly casual to the average passerby. Her eyes, however, never stayed put, but moved to each of the building's access points, and watched each person as they strode past. Her arm had apparently healed; either that, or she had rigged some sort of fix that was invisible to the eye, under the coat she wore. All in all, she very much looked the part of a friend calling upon the temporary tenants of the rooms.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru and Kozue returned to their normal lives without much event as far as out of the ordinary went, anyways. He kept watch for Noriko, and kept watch on his sources of info. Naseru paid decently for the information he received, and was often paid more by others seeking it. upon hearing a knock at the door one afternoon, he answered the door to find that it was Noriko once again. Kozue was in the room behind them, sitting on the floor playing. "It's been a while," he replied, although that was not a criticism. "Do come in... what news do you bring?" He assumed that she came with news or a tip or some kind of lead, but if not, he'd let the conversation take its course anyways.

Noriko Tatsumi	"May I come in?" She asks, taking a final glance at the street behind her, indicating her feelings about speaking out in the open. Once inside, however, she would loosen up slightly, offering a nod of greeting. "There's been a flux of power," Noriko explained, remaining standing in the first room, "Other gang leaders and Half-Baked Dragon members alike are trying to seize control of the Organization, since we left it without leadership." Reaching up, she brushed her hair back. Then, with a sigh, "Seems a few of the gangs from the Fire Nation may try to encroach on the territory. There may be a full-blown war in the streets, because of it all."

Naseru & Kozue	after inviting Noriko in, he sat down, inviting her to do the same, although he was fine if she remained standing, which thus far, she did. the door had obviously been closed. Naseru didn't just leave that open. "I've heard of that," he replied, "most of it seems to just be civil war between what's left of the gang, but I do not know much about any outside forces other than a few rumors. What was your proposed plan of action?" he asked this so abruptly, because she had not asked specifically for what she needed him for. He assumed, naturally, that she was after info, but since she had not yet specified what sort of information she was after, he gave a few touches on what he knew about what had been mentioned, but otherwise would wait until she asked. There was no point in spouting off useless facts if they were not relevant. He could see war happening in the lower rings and streets. the upper ring... they'd never get that far. that was where Meili's Underground was, and given that it also encompassed the Dai Li... there was no stopping her. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that though.

Noriko Tatsumi	"If we do nothing," She began, taking a seat once Naseru had, "Then there will be some in-fighting and the power will shift. There will either be a more powerful outside gang in place, or the Half-Baked Dragon will simply rebuild; there will be minimal casualties on all sides." Then, she ticks off another finger, starting to list options off. "If we attempt to cut off enemy forces, our side will bear the brunt of the burden, and the Dragon will still rebuild." She'd shortened the name for efficiency's sake, it seemed. "Cutting off supply lines would take a mole, which I don't have," Noriko glanced at Naseru, her brows raised in slight question. She may be hoping that he had one, or she may simply wish to know.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru listened to Noriko presenting the options and her predicted consequences thereof. "trying to purge Ba Sing Se of crime is like trying to drain the ocean. it just won't happen." he was dismissing the idea, although with the way Noriko had worded it, it seemed that she had been mostly just mentioning it to say that it was a bad idea. "I may not know 100% of their hideout tunnels, but I do know a lot of their networks, if you recall. Although even then, it'd be to figure out which ones they're going to use, and when. That's sort of info that comes on shorter notice, I've gathered, and there hasn't ever been a pattern to it. Helps 'em evade authorities. he paused. "if anything... whatever we do should be something involving that kind of sabotage, but done so in a way that the 'Dragon might think it was an enemy gang, instead of the city, against them. the more they fight each other, obviously... the less the rest of us have to worry about them. You're the strategist though... so what say you?" This was not condescending at all; just Naseru pointing out a truth. He might have missed an important step in the plan, so he wanted to run it by her.

Noriko Tatsumi	"Outside of making it impossible for them to operate, via supply shortage, that would be my choice of action," Noriko nodded, accepting Naseru's plan, "What I need, then, is to know said suppliers, or their safe houses and such. Where they go, who they speak to. The outside forces will be difficult, because they aren't stationed here in a permanent location, but in a temporary hideout. Or they will be, when they arrive." Tapping her fingers along her thigh, in thought, Noriko went silent. In this time, she was either waiting for him to speak, or trying to decide how to do things.

Naseru & Kozue	Naseru stroked his clean-shaven chin for a moment as he pondered these things. "I know a few of them, yes. a lot of their suppliers and safehouses are in a certain district that they have had claims on for quite some time now. they have a few more that I would have to get back to my sources about, but a lot of them are in this particular area." pausing for a moment, he mused about the effects of outside forces and such. "I obviously can't say much about them other than maybe catching unusual shipments, but I know enough about the way these half-baked goons work that we could probably put a stop to it... or at least do good at crippling them even more."

Noriko Tatsumi	With a nod, Noriko seemed to accept what he said as the truth. Really, the reason that she had not contacted him for days was so that she could investigate this strange pair. With such a vast knowledge of the gang's workings, she had to ensure that Naseru was not, in fact, a member of the Half-Baked Dragon gang. While she was still not completely certain, she had not noticed anything less than savory going on... that, and there was no bad feeling about him, and Noriko prided herself on being a good judge of character. At least when it counted most. "I will look into getting what supplies we will need," She offered, "And in making them look authentic for rival gang sabotage."

Naseru & Kozue	Information on Naseru was difficult to come by, but not impossible, mostly because he had travelled so much. An easy place to check was Ba Sing Se University records, where his student records were on file somewhere. Kozue on the other hand, had barely any data regarding even her existence other than the documents proving that Naseru had legally adopted her. Perhaps there was little to know about her... or maybe there was more to the youngster than met the eyes. It was anyone's guess. Given his connections with gangs and the information thereof, it was easy to assume that he had connections or associations with them, or at least maybe one or two. But on the other hand, digging up any information connecting the two seemed to be more difficult than it should be if it was true. Ultimately, it'd be Noriko's call. "Very well." he responded. "what would you have Kozue and I do in the meantime?"
