The Great Heist Empty
PostSubject: The Great Heist   The Great Heist EmptyThu Nov 07, 2013 10:33 pm

Roof-tops always held many secrets, and like always two will meet and exchange them. This is true for Kush and his associate. How long they had been standing there is really nobodies' business but let's say long enough for both of them to be very baked.

"I want the necklace of fire from the treasury. If you are caught I do not know you. Understand."

"Yeah yeah ! You talk a lot for a spy." Kush said as he snatched the coordinates of the item from the man's hands. Kush knew this was a high level mission but he needed the money to start his real plans.

Kush finished off a chocolate bar and lit up a cigarette. As he inhaled his head began to somewhat clear for the moment. He turned and began to walk off towards the exit leaving his company on the roof. For Kush it was time to get to work, the rather chill air would take the scent of smoke off of him. And the fact that he changed into a worker's uniform helped as well.

He slid his helmet on and walked over to the caravan that brought worker to the Palace. As he stepped on he sat down and lowered his head thinking while finishing his cigarette.

"Dude how do you smoke those things? Your better off hitting the bottle if you as me!" said a male around his own age who seemed halfway between drunk and stupid which was never a good thing.

He sloppily leaned on another worker who was too much of a coward to say anything about it. Kush lit up another cigarette as stress already began to work his nerves. He preferred all his missions to go the way they planned, sure that never happened but one in his craft as always seeking perfection. The rest of the ride was uneventful and they were dropped off before the Palace and ushered in only to Kush's dismay he was assigned a partner.

It was the same donkey from before somehow now more drunk as well. He staggered through his cleaning nearly breaking things, and Kush silently held his tongue as they worked closer and closer to the treasury room. In front of the treasury doors were two guards, Kush couldn't hope to beat without his sword. However, Kush smiled as he casually jabbed his partner with a poison that would amplify his muscles and rage before painfully killing him.

The poison coursed through the man's veins and as an unexpected side effect the alcohol in his system caused it to burn. All of the barest forms of humanity disappeared from the man's eyes as Kush stepped out of sight and allowed the lumbering man to pick up a chair and rush to combat with the two guards.

The two guards fought valiantly and would have killed an ordinary man but this was little more than a savage now. As the poison began to turn and began to kill him, Kush stepped out from the side hallway where he had been hiding walking toward the man. The man now lain in fetal position as Kush both of the guards swords and finished their job for them.

Knowing he wouldn't have the much time, he rushed inside the treasury room locking the door with one of the royal guards swords and keeping the other. As he walked up on the treasure that he needed, he smile for a moment before not wasting any time to walk to the window. Wondering the odds of him being able to do what he was thinking brought adrenaline coursing through his veins.

He knocked the glass free of the window with the sword hilt, then as if on time the door started bulging as someone tried to enter. He took a deep breath before sprinting across the room and diving out the window. As he channeled his breath into power and shot a brief but sizable flame toward the ground. It allowed him to break his fall enough to land without significant injury; if a broken shoulder didn't bother you.

As he trudged towards the lot, he began to see forces coordinating towards him. But at least for now he would escape, as he reached the car he wrapped his told his driver to move as he shifted in his seat. As if knowing his driver could maneuver them to safety Kush began to nod off from pain and exertion.

Cyrad had decided to make his first trip to the fire kingdom, he came to sight see and even decided to go the extra mile and get a hotel room in the capital itself.  He had spent the day walking around a fifteen year old spoiled firebender who seemed to have the ability to talk forever without need to stop for air or common decency.  He dropped her off an hour ago.

He had been walking home but he realized that he was still slightly upset over the events of his day so he decided to walk around and look at the buildings, trying to guess how they were made.  His head finally "cooled" Cyrad started back to his apartment.  That's when he heard the alarm.

He was fully ready, in his leather armor with his sword Golem's Tear on his left hip and his Father's Hammer on his right.  He decided to check it out, mainly out of curiosity as to what happened.  When Cyrad reached a lot he saw a hole bunch of troubling things.  First a window shattered then a shadow jumped out and spit fire to slow his decent, though it seemed to walk the wounded gimp after the fall still.  The shadow got in a vehicle which started to speed away.

Cyrad had started moving when he saw the shadow fall out of the window and by the time he started to flee Cyrad had covered half the distance.  As the shadow man fled Cyrad launched him using a pillar of earth to throw him far longer than otherwise possible.  As he came down Cyrad focused on earthbending and when his heels collided with the ground he created a ramp in front of the criminals.  And with a shuffle slide and a step created a sandpit for it to land in should it continue it's route.

He heard reinforments incoming.

His slumber was short and troublesome as he found himself in the air. His driver somewhat losing it wasn't making things any better. Kush saw that his inevitable landing point was at the edge of the sandpit. Turning around for a moment as he finally saw the earth bender pursuing him, he felt a certain rush pulse through out his whole body.

Oh, he was going to enjoy this. . .

First redirecting his breath to breathe life into his flames, he scorched the sand pit before them. As the heat channeled it way through it the layers formed of glass. The car swerved and with a hand from Kush the driver managed to keep them going. Kush then nodded to him before turning around once more towards Cyrad.

First thing he had to do was get rid of the threat of reinforcements. "Take the scenic route." The driver nodded grimly before going off road into the sewage system. The thing Kush was betting on was that even though this man could bend if he did, then he would flood them both in the process.

Kush focused himself before pushing out a volley of fire blasts towards Cyrad, but they were a merely bluff he channeled most of his flames along the ground beneath them. Cyrad was an earthbender his need for a connection to the ground would surely make him end up running over it. Well at least that is what Kush thought as he began to breathe correctly and preserve energy for the next attack.

Fire shot from the inside, presumably from the bender who jumped out the building.  It collided with the sand pit making a block of glass strong that they landed on and though they swerved they managed to keep from crashing.  From the back window came several flashes and bolts of fire erupted behind the car flying toward Cyrad.  The lack of accuracy, only one bolt hit Cyrad and he blocked in with his stone left arm, made Cyrad guess at the skill of the user.  The ground grew light and Cyrad guessed what was attacking him without seeing it.  He jumped forward and landed in a hand stand on a single stone palm that was washed in flames, he was happy he didn't have hair aside his beard that may have caught fire.  He threw himself to the left and found cool rock beneath his feet.  He wrapped his feet in stone shoes then started off after them again.

They turned down a road and Cyrad kept pursuit, funny enough that he started moving faster after he added a pair of heavy stone shoes.  As they went down a sewage tunnel Cyrad understood their plan, remove his effective bending ability.  Knowing there was little time to spare Cyrad brought himself to full sprint, something he could only do for a short time and after getting about ten meters in the tunnel Cyrad threw a punch at the air with all his speed and weight behind it and the stone arm went hurling off into the distance.  Cyrad fell into how most effective bending stance and kept his connection to the speeding meteor arm.  When it has passed over the fleeing criminals Cyrad blew the arm apart sending dozens of stone shards scattering in all directions.  The attack wasn't to harm the people inside but rather disable their get away.

His attack made him fall behind so he started running off with some speed, peering into the darkness to see if his attack had succeeded.  He saw light up ahead that could be a opening to another tunnel or a better place, or it could even be the firebender doing something.  Cyrad wasn't sure but as he started to get close he drew his sword with his right flesh arm, ready for anything.
