Great Resources for Character Creation and Profiles

Post whatever ya got that could help people out in making a character or refining their profile.

Finding a good face claim trickier than you thought? Check this place out:

Anime Character Database

Use the drop-down menus at the top to enter basic information about the type of character you're looking for. Anything you don't know off hand, don't bother with. Like if you know you want them to be a certain age, have a certain eye color, and a certain hair color, then fill those out and leave the rest alone. Then click search and surf the finds to your heart's content!

EDIT: The Mary Sue test is always really good to see if your character is original enough.

For helping players with making the abilities section of their character applications, the Wiki for Avatar: The Last Airbender is actually quite helpful for laying out the basics of each level of bending.

Special Techniques of Each Style of Bending

These will help new players to iterate their abilities so they might better gain a feel for the bending in the Avatarverse, and so we staff can best place them. Though it is notable that bending is -NOT- limited to the techniques listed, and that if someone has an idea for bending that is possible they are free to utilize it in their character (I.E. an airbender who can quell flames by creating a brief vacuum of air, or a firebender with a thermal equivalent to seismic sense.)
