The Shades

The Shade stood upon the shores of the mortal plain, staring hard at the village known as Jang Hui. It was the ideal place to begin his campaign, however small and mundane it may be. He would first need to level the place... Reduce it too nothing more than a ruin, it shouldn't take long, he was The Shade and he conquered all, if he tried, but boy was he arrogant.

He moved towards the town, stalking menacingly towards it. The people of the town noticed the gigantic black wolf and got slightly confused. Honestly, they were so moronic it wasn't even amusing. He stepped onto one of the ports, looking at the villagers scatter before him, hmph, insects.

He then decided it was time, time for him to use the chaos in the mortal plain, time to unveil his grand design, today would be the day of Chaos. He let out an earsplitting howl, a howl filled with terror that set all of the area trembling. Out of the void crawled many dark spirits. Each of them a being created by the chaos created in the realm because of it's lack of justice. Malevolent energy could be found by the bucketful in both worlds, and The Shade used this too his advantage. The spirits wanted he wanted, chaos in the mortal plain and dominance for the spirits. They swarmed out of the void, the portal that the Shade had called into existence swarmed with the things. They attacked the villagers, slaughtering anyone who didn't fight back. Any humans that did fight back were soon overrun by the Spirits. All of them were eventually killed, the village was splattered with the stains of that thing the humans called "blood"

Yes, this should call attention to the rest of the globe, the era of the Spirits was now, and his army of Dark Spirits would see the Shades dream come true. He would rule them all, and end the Avatar, they did not need a bridge. He let off another howl, and the portal pulsed with the roar, and the spirits all around him bowed, yes, now was the age of The Spirit.

"Why hasn't my shipment from Jang Hui came in yet?! Am I the only one who can get something done around here!" With a huff Kush drew his jacket off the back of the chair he was once sitting on. The men and women around him hurried to make themselves look like they were busy as he strolled by them.

As Kush stepped out into the crisp winter air, he noted today seemed weirdly colder and he noted that to be a bad omen. However, he merely thought it would be a problem he could simply crack a few skulls about. Waiting outside was his driver with the engine primed up and ready to go. "Take me to Jang Hui and quickly; your job depends on it."

Without hesitation the driver rocketed off and Kush lit him a doobie. Clouds began billowing filling the car with his favorite cologne. So you can imagine how high he must have thought he was when he seen the devastation of Jang Hui. They circled blocks that normally was full of life now in stark contrast.

It was then that Kush seen it. . . whatever it was obviously not human. Kush told his driver to drop him off and to go back to the house. He also mentioned to have his sisters cared for in case he did not make it back. Kush stepped out of the car flicking the remainder of his doobie before walking towards Shade. As he approached the air grew colder and he felt and heard whispers of spirits all around him but it was still beyond his perception. In a random occurrence of nerves, Kush ignited a cigarette in his mouth before fully approaching the one called Shade.

"Well. .. wassup mister dark and spooky?" He said with a naturally confident half smile.

The Shade

The Shade turned it's great head as it heard the sounds of a human approaching. It did not react, did not even blink. It was most curious to see yet another human, after he just massacred the rest of them. It's army surged towards the human, but the Shade mentally checked them, they stopped, thousands of Spirits halting all at once, just because a single Spirit had bid them so, it was quite the sight to see. The Shade nodded, and the Spirits all flew back into the portal behind him, this portal cackled with dark energy. The Shade turned his head again to the human, and spoke in his low rumbling tones.

"Insect, why do you come here, leave now if you value your existence... I do not have time for you, I have a world to overcome with chaos, leave now, insect"

The Shade padded closer to the human, and lowered his head so he could look it directly in the eyes. This human was weak, and could easily be crushed if necessary. The Shade disliked that thing in his mouth, so he growled low, more so for effect. The last of his army flowed into the portal, but the portal itself remained open. The Shade looked down at the human, waiting for it to speak.

Kush stood before him seemingly unfazed by the words the spirits spoke. In his mind, he had already achieve sparking his interest just by the fact he didn't let the spirits devour his soul. Still a large part of him was impressed by the feat but he'd take that secret to the grave. He blew out a breath of solids before beginning to speak.

"Your right. I do value my existence. And I'd rather live under your rule than that of the Avatar. You probably need nothing I could give thanks to your power, but it wouldn't hurt to kill morale as you do it. Think about it, if you allow me to help you; you know how these humans are their willing to worship anything. They'll come running to you instead of you having to waste your time with such trivial things."

Kush paused for a moment to breathe and also to take a drag of his cigarette one more time. Before he allowed it to fall using his bending to quickly extinguish it before it left that afoul after smoked smell.

"I am not like these other mortals. I recognize power when I see it and I don't run from it."

The Shade

The Shade considered the human before him. This one had a backbone that could be snapped easily, however few ever dared to test Dark Spirits, it was a most curious occurrence. And to try and bargain with it? That was unheard of, practically speaking. Perhaps he could use this one, however he would need to keep him in check, this gave birth to an idea. The Shade let off another bloodcurdling howl that was heard all around. From the portal emerged a Spirit that looked like a parasite. The Shade merely looked at it before turning back to the man.

"If you want to be of help, insect, you will accept this gift I offer you" The insect-spirit moved "If not, I crush you as I did these people, and your dreams die with you. Think, you have ten seconds"

The Shade waited, staring long and hard at the man. He was strange, but he could be of some use. The Shade could use him as a tool, and control the humans or march on them, it was their call, he waited, counting slowly.
