Kei	Kei was in the lower ring of Ba Sing Se when he was attacked by a group of hit men. As he passed an alleyway, 4 men shot a volley of arrows at him. Kei's special trench coat protected him from most of the arrows, but one of them had managed to directly hit his leg and leave a bad cut in it. Though injured, Kei managed to eventually defeat the Hit men and left their unconscious bodies in the middle of the street for the authorities to deal with. Unsure of why the hit men attacked and if there were any more, Kei quickly tried to find if there was a healer around that could immediately heal his leg so that he wouldn't be impaired in another fight. Kei hoped that he could find a healer who didn't want high payments because Kei wasn't carrying that much money on him. Somebody told Kei of Kairi who was a healer and pointed out where she usually is and Kei did his best to make his way there. Upon arriving at the pointed location, Kei called out, "Kairi?!"

Kairi Inoue	Kairi almost dropped the water she was bending from the water well into her small bag when she suddenly heard someone calling her name. She turned around, still holding the water in the air, to search for whoever called her. She soon saw a man with light brown hair, looking around as if searching for someone, so she assumed he was the one who had called. She didn't know him, so it made sense that he wasn't approaching her. People she'd helped in the past often directed other people to her when they were injured, this was probably the same situation. She finally bended the water into the small bag, walking towards the stranger. She raised her hand, both as a greeting and as to indicate that she'd heard him. ''Hey.'' she said, smiling gently. She quickly noticed the wound on his leg, and her expression turned more serious. ''You need healing, right?'' Kairi glanced around, looking for a less busy location. There were always a lot of people around the water wells. She'd need a bit more quite to work. She had to look up at the man, as he was quite a bit taller than her. ''Can you walk to the end of this street? I'll have more space to help there.'' It wasn't far, and she started walking slowly, making sure he could keep up.

Kei	"Yea," Kei said, "I need healing fast." Kari told Kei to follow her so Kei did. It hurt to walk, but Kei followed Kairi anyways. Thankfully, the walk wasn't long and Kei and Kairi shortly reached their destination. Kei was extremely paranoid at this point and kept checking around to make sure there were no more hit men after him. The attack of the hit men left Kei worried as he was unsure what it meant. Kei sat down in a chair and asked Kairi a question. "You don't charge a lot for your medical services do you? I don't have much money on me."

Kairi Inoue	When they arrived at the less busy location and Kei sat down, Kairi opened her bag and bended the water she'd just gotten from the well out of it. She crouched down, pulling his pants up a bit at the injured leg so that she could properly examine it. It was a pretty bad cut, but she was quite sure she could handle it. The water started glowing as soon as it came in contact with the wound. ''No no, don't worry. Just focus on getting better soon, I'll take care of this.'' She didn't look up at him, keeping her eyes on the cut and the water. As always, she didn't ask for a payment, even though she could definitely use it. She hadn't been able to find a job for today either, unfortunately. Kairi noticed how anxious and paranoid the man seemed while she glanced back and forth between him and the cut. ''Are you okay? Mind telling me how this happened?''

Kei	Kairi told Kei not too worry about the payment, so Kei hoped that this meant it would be free. Kairi began proceeding to heal Kei's wound. The healing created a strange, tingling sensation, but it didn't hurt at all. The cut was mostly healed when Kairi asked Kei a quiestion. ''Are you okay? Mind telling me how this happened?'' Kei decided it was better not to tell her that he was attacked by hit men and instead told her, "I am fine, I was walking through the streets when a couple of robbers attacked me. I managed to escape, but they cut my leg in the process."

Kairi Inoue	Kairi proceeded to work on healing the cut while listening to the man's explanation. She nodded, ''Yeah, it can be really dangerous around these parts of the city. Don't let your guard down.'' She'd had enough encounters with robbers and bandits herself, but usually got away from it unharmed, thanks to her waterbending. Frankly, she didn't really have anything they could take. She rarely had money with her, and her only permanent possession was her old water bag. She moved her hands around a bit, feeling that the wound was almost completely healed now. ''It should be alright now, and your leg shouldn't hurt anymore while walking. I don't have any medical supplies, but it hasn't gotten infected. Just make sure not to scratch it or anything.'' She moved the lose hairs from her messy ponytail out of her eyes and bended the water back into the bag. She wouldn't be able to drink it after using it to heal a wound, but she could still use it in case she got into a situation where she'd have to fight. Kairi got up from her crouched position, allowing the man to get up as well and see how his leg felt now. ''So, are you from Ba Sing Se? I don't think I've seen you around here before.''

Kei	Kei moved his leg around and was glad to see that it was now fine. As Kairi stood up, she asked Kei a question. "So, are you from Ba Sing Se? I don't think I've seen you around here before.'' "I actually live in the Fire Nation Capital." Kei responded, "I work as a Jack of all Trades you see, and I got some decent paying jobs from all the way out here." Kei got up and looked around, he was probably going to have to leave the city for a bit if there were hit men after him.

Kairi Inoue	Kairi didn't hear much of what the man said after stating he was from the Fire Nation Capital. Her eyes lit up as she was immediately filled with the childlike curiosity she barely got to show nowadays. There wasn't much she didn't know yet about this city, or at least this part of it, but this was an outsider. Someone who'd traveled to get here from far away. Someone who must know things she'd never known. ''Really?'' she exclaimed, visibly excited and a lot less calm then during the healing. ''That's awesome! I've never been out of Ba Sing Se... What's it like there? Is it different from this city, or are they similar? Is it as big? Are you a firebender?'' She realized she was talking way too fast and asking way too many questions, and grinned apologetically. ''Sorry. I don't even know your name yet.''

Kei	"The Fire Nation capital is... different but yet same." Kei began in a friendly tone as he was answering Kitani's question. "Of course the buildings and architect are much different then it is here Ba Sing Se. There is much more industrialism in the Fire Nation capital and you can find very amazing gadgets in the stores." Kei's tone began to change from friendly to hostile as he continued on, "The thing that is the same between the two cities are its people. In each you have those who are rich, and those who are poor. The rich flourish while the poor are left too rot..." Kei stopped, realizing that he was starting to sound hostile and may have been scaring Kitani. Kei laughed nervously scratching the back of his head and quickly changed the subject. "As for me, I'm technically a Fire Bender, but truth is I can't really Fire Bend." Then Kei said with a smile, "My name is Kei. Thanks for the healing by the way."

Kairi Inoue	Kairi listened carefully, like a child listening to an intriguing fairy tale, taking in each word to burn into her memory. But as his tone changed from friendly into hostile, her smile faded slowly. She looked down, gritting her teeth slightly. 'the poor are left too rot.' Yeah, she of all people knew all about that. She always tried to think optimistically, but statements like those usually managed to temporarily end those relatively happy thoughts. The man stopped talking for a few seconds, before changing the subject. That caught her attention, and she looked back at him again. ''You're welcome.'' she said, in a calmer and more quiet voice than before. She raised an eyebrow at what he'd said though. ''How can you be a fire bender without being able to bend fire?''

Kei	Kiari had asked a question, ''How can you be a fire bender without being able to bend fire?'' Kei began, "Well I've never been able to bend Fire, but I had been able to do this." Kei held his hand up in front of his body and used to his Lightning Affinity to send a current of of electricity running through his hands. Sparks danced across his palms and around his finger tips. "I guess people consider it Fire Bending." Kei said. Kei looked around once again and asked, "What is life like around here?"

Kairi Inoue	Kairi stared in awe at the sparks of lightning around Kei's finger tips. She had seen fire benders before, though there weren't a ton of them around here. Either way, she'd never seen anyone bending lightning before. It looked so... alive. And deadly. Like it could burst out of control every second, and still the man handled it so nonchalantly. ''Wow, that's... that's amazing.'' she said, unable to move her turquoise eyes away from the sparks. She finally forced herself to look back to Kei, thinking of how to answer his question. ''Well, it's not easy. I can't speak for everyone, but most people in the lower ring have a hard time making a living.'' She paused briefly, wondering whether she should tell him more about her life in particular. ''I've... been on my own for a while now.'' She shrugged, looking down. ''I guess I manage somehow.''

Kei	Well, because of Kairi's answer, Kei felt really bad that he had no kind of payment that he could offer her. "I'm not going to lie," Kei told Kairi, "I don't have any money on me. Howevr, instead of paying through money, lets say I owe you a favor. If you need me to do something, I'll do it." Kei ended with a smile to show that he was trying to be sincere. Truth was though, that Kei was hoping the favor to be an easy one, he really needed to leave the city before anymore hit men come after him.
