| Isi nodded and gave Kada a wave goodbye before striding out. She had very solid footing, which was reflected in her solidly-built frame. She had a few feminine curves, but otherwise her body was built like a rock, with broad shoulders, toned, sculpted thighs and back, and large feet and hands.
to cut a long story short, soon they were at the place that Isi mentioned , and the little earthbender stamped her feet, making the metal from her boots form around her arms and hands, and attaching her care beet to the ground. "So... erm, Ah admittedly ain't th'best teacher in th'world..." charisma was not her strong suit. "but if y'kin have patience with me in'at regard, Ah kin teach y'wut Ah know. t'start... kin y'show me whatche' know?" she wanted to know where to start off, because otherwise she might either jump too far or start too basic. Truth was, teaching someone was something fairly new to her, despite the lessons Shi-Hao had given her in how to instruct people (regarding running a company). but that was another subject entirely.

Upon arriving at the training facility, the nomad glanced around. It seemed to be a fairly sizeable area, fit with several different sets of weights and materials for working out. He turned on the spot and looked at Isikiro, placing his hands behind his back with patience.
When she asked to see what he knew, the nomad nodded. He took a few steps forwards in front of the Earthbender, so that his back was to the woman. Once he was sure she couldn’t see his face, he closed his eyes. A slow breath escaped his lips as he spread his knees wide, concentrating on feeling the earth beneath his feet. The dull throb in his stomach had lessened slightly since talking to Isikiro, but he could still feel it within him.
The nomad stayed still for several seconds, not moving even a muscle as he concentrated. And then, beneath his eyelids, his eyes flashed a burnt orange colour.
He brought his arms forward and up in two uppercut-style movements, causing a huge mound of earth to erupt in front of him. He didn’t stop there, though – eyes open now, he rushed forwards and delivered a powerful kick to the bottom of the massive pillar, causing the bottom part to break off and fly into the opposite wall. Elegys moved just in time to get underneath the remaining earth, spreading his knees wide in a crouching position as he balanced it upon his shoulders and hands. With a mighty roar, he straightened up, lifting the large piece of earth higher into the air.
Grunting with consternation, he threw the pile to the side where it landed with a dull crash. His eyes reverted back to their regular brown colour and he turned around to face Isikiro, wiping a few beads of sweat from his forehead.
”All I have is power – I need you to show me how to use it.”

| Isikiro's eyes widened as she watched the display. he was pretty good, and he reminded her of herself, actually. Raw, uncontrolled power and strength, needing to be channelled. Well, she was no Tarek, but she could at least try to help him a bit in that regard. her opened chakras and Tarek's spiritual counseling did give her a strange vibe about this fellow--there was a strong spiritual connection of some kind in him, but she was not sure just what kind.
However, a few of the rocks came Isi's way, and either out of gut reaction or showing off (most likely the former, given Isi's personality, she used lavabending to subdue them, melting them into the ground which she promptly hardened again. "Y'seem lahk y've got sum kinda spiritual connection already... Ah ain't sure if it's good 'r bad... but Ah kin feel sumthin'..." she was not the kind that would know what it was though. "earthbendin' tho... i'zall 'bout rock-solid defense 'nd 'termination." she shifted her feet apart. "feel th'earth b'neath ya, 'n stay focused on it. Move it... 'n then c'ntrol it..." she stamped her foot, using her seismic senses to detect her surroundings, before raising a perfectly cubical mass of earth and sliding it to the side. she *did* do construction work on the side, after all. she had not told him that she was also using seismic senses though, but that was optional anyways.

When the legendary Eathbender forced the rocks to turn molten, Elegys couldn’t help but scowl. The woman’s power was immense, apparently even greater than his own brute strength – and she wouldn’t teach him her greatest skill. He let out a sigh, before widening his stance as Isikiro talked to him about the fundamentals of Earthbending.
Once again he took a deep breath, spreading his knees until he was in a semi-crouched position. He raised one leg and stamped it down on the ground in a similar fashion to Isi, causing a crack to appear in the ground in front of him. Still concentrating, he raised both of his arms slowly, causing the ground to vibrate as the earth began to rise.
What appeared was technically cubic in nature – it had eight faces for certain, but the edges were jagged and nowhere near as straight as Isikiro’s had been. He held it in place for several seconds before dropping it again. Without utilising the power of Vaatu, he didn’t have nearly the same amount of strength with Earthbending – he just hoped that his teacher didn’t realise that this was the reason for his huge strength.
”I understand,” he said, breathing slowly. Something he couldn’t quite understand, however, was Isikiro’s apparent complete control over the element. He tilted his head slightly, looking at her feet. Her shoes had disappeared, allowing her flesh to impact with the ground – maybe that was the trick.
He kicked off his sandals and placed his bare feet upon the ground, and could understand how Isikiro could control the Earth in a greater manner. With the dirt between his toes, he felt like he had an understanding of how the element worked, and that would greatly impact his bending.

| And stubborn on the subject Isi would remain. If people would only use it defensively they way she did, perhaps she might teach it to everyone, because it was actually a very potent defense mechanism. On the other hand, she had seen it at work, and a single bender had nearly laid ruin to the Fire Nation Capitol using this technique. Sooner or later, she thought, the power would get to some people's heads.
"Izzer' sumthin' th'matter?" she asked, but otherwise went right back to her lessons. "Th'key to earthbendin' is also t'keep a solid stance. Unlahk Airbendin, which is a buncha movin' 'round 'n dodgin' 'n stuff, earthbendin' is about holdin' y'er ground 'n not budgin' an inch 'nless y'kin get sum' better ground." she noticed him removing his sandals. "bein' barefoot also helps, but ain't always ns'sary." as if to prove her point, she threw her fists into the air, ripping the metal from her hands. she back flipped into a handstand, letting the metal fall back down and wrap itself around her feet like boots again, before flipping back onto her feet and striking the ground. creating a smooth fault-line that she was able to direct around Elegys before it hit the wall behind him.
"Feel th'earth beneath y'er feet..." she took a deep breath, "even if you ain't bendin' nuthin', y'kin still feel the lifeforce of th'earth below ya..." she repeated." realizing that she'd focus more on metalbending later, she reverted her metallic boots back into gloves for her hands by doing the same backflip/handstand procedure she had done a few moments earlier.
"Otherwahz, y'er doin' good... practice that cubic motion 'gain, 'n trah t'become more presahs wit' it. Normally Ah'd also do sumthin' 'bout explainin' power, but y'seem t'already have that part purdy well-down pat." she smiled. Hopefully her lessons would pay off.

Elegys couldn’t help but huff as he saw how easily the woman could control the earth, as well as metal. He remained in his widened stance, still attempting to put all of his concentration into the task at hand. ”Cubes…” he muttered, visualising the cube that Isikiro had made and raising his hands once more.
The cube that emerged wasn’t anywhere near as close as Isikiro’s, but he could feel it forming as he rose it. Inside, he could sense the earth compressing and forming together into sharp edges before emerging in an almost-cube, with only a few curved edges.
”Heh,” he said, the piece of earth dropping as his concentration faded. Once again there was a bead of sweat on his face, and he wiped it off with the back of his hand. The training was slow, and he needed it to speed up – but what he really wanted, he knew that Isikiro wouldn’t teach him. Lavabending.
And then, a plan struck into his mind. A devilish one to be frank, but a potentially successful one all the same. ”I guess it’s too early for a tea break, hey?” he said, cracking a smile that was highly unlike him. As he did so, he felt something stirring within him. Some force was seeping into him, giving him confidence and even forming his decisions for him.
”Where did you train? I’ve never seen anyone so strong before,” he said in a complimentary fashion.

| In Isi's defense, she had been acquainted with earthbending for over 20 years, while Elegys was still fairly new to it (even if Isi didn't know why or any of the story behind it). but, there was plenty of time for learning, and Isi, unaware of any rush that Elegys might have been in (in fact, if she knew the entire extent of who he was and what he wanted, she would have stopped teaching him then and there), was going at what she felt was a reasonable pace. usually there was a focus of learning how to use one's power and make it grow, but he already seemed to have high power levels already.
she dug her toes into the earth, reproducing several identical building blocks, setting them one on top of the other. Isi did work construction after all. when he asked for a tea break, she tilted her head. "a'ready we jus' barely started." granted, this was the girl who used to work 10 to 14-hour shifts in a mining hole 7 days a week. she had only recently learned even what a day off even was, and so naturally, she was used to hard work.
"well... Ah s'pose if ye needa catch'up on y'er stamina that we best be doin' that too... though that's kinda strange... Ah kin sense a great deal'o power from 'ye... like a spirit 'r sumthin..." but she was not as spiritually attuned as many wise men and women were. she was just vaguely aware of spiritual strength as a side effect of something else she had learned.
stamping her foot she constructed an elaborate and comfortable earthen chair for her to sit on. "feel free t'make y'erself one if y'want." she offered. it'd be a nice little lesson too, after all.
"Where'd Ah train? Ah... purdy much jus' taught m'self... Ah spent 14 hours a day down in a mahnshaft 7 days a week. Ah kinda jus' became attuned to th'earth, bein' so deep down in it. Ah wuz able to sense ore 'n metal, 'n soon leraned how t'bend that too... 'n ever since then Ah've kinda just kept doin' th'same thing... not for as many hours 'n not 7 days a week no more... but that's purdy much it." Even her lavabending was basically self-taught. Isi's style of bending was unorthodox, but extremely effective. it was clear that rather than any formal training, she had just learned and otherwise taught herself--even her lavabending, despite not even bringing it up.

The nomad disregarded the spirit comment – he didn’t want to give the game away that easily. Instead he walked over to the Earthbender and stamped his foot, causing a block of earth to rise up, more a stool than a chair. It was positioned very close to the woman, so when he sat down on it their legs were nearly touching, and brushed each other occasionally.
”Well, we can’t all last as long as you can, Isikiro,” he said, flashing her an uncharacteristically flirtatious smile. He sat patiently and listened to her speaking about her work, and leaned forwards in his chair slightly so that the pair were even closer than before. ”You really are incredible,” the nomad said, looking straight into her eyes, his face now one of deep respect and wonder. ”I would love to… Get to know you better.”
Within Elegys, unbeknownst to Isikiro, a battle was raging.
Stop this! I won’t let you take full control again!
I’m doing this for both of us, Elegys. Stay quiet and we might obtain what we seek after all.
I don’t like it, Vaatu. It just feels wrong – she’s no more than a girl!
You don’t have to like it. Just trust me, young one.
The conversation had passed in the blink of an eye, leaving no lull in the physical world whatsoever. Elegys shifted his legs, causing his knee to brush Isikiro’s thigh slightly. ”How about we try something a bit more… Intimate?” he asked, the smile upon his face once more. He placed his hand in front of him so that it was between the pair and clenched his fist, causing the earth beneath to crack and writhe. He flipped his hand over, so the palm was facing upwards, and the earth rose slowly in a perfect cube until it came to rest upon his hand.
”I always feel that I perform better when I’m closer, wouldn’t you say?” he murmured loud enough for Isi to hear, but his tone was delicate. His smile curled slightly at the edge of his mouth as he dropped the earth back into the ground where it instantly merged with the floor. ”But with how you learned to Earthbend, surely creating cubes out of earth is incredibly boring? How about we do something a little more… Exciting?”
He lingered on the last word for a second, eyes still locked onto Isi.

| At his approaches, Isikiro did start blushing a little. She was flattered, but she was also suspicious that this might be a trap. Before the rumors had surfaced of her being an earthbending legend, she was just a nobody, but all of a sudden people started liking her. She might have been a bit dense, but she wasn't *that* dense. Besides... the closeness--the fact that their legs were touching (even if they were covered all the way to her ankles, where her feet were bare), it was slightly awkward.
"A bit more... int'mate?" she tilted her head. "Lahk wut? Ah started wit' the basic buildin' block 'cuz even if y'get the cube shape down, then there's a matter of makin' sure it's sound 'n sturdy." That would have been her next lesson. "But, uhm,... what're y'suggestin'?" She was still kind of dense, and new to romantic things as things stood.

A soft chuckle emanated from Elegys. ”You don’t have to worry, Isikiro,” he said, upon noticing her blushing. He leaned back slightly, giving the Earthbender some space. ”How about a little competition? Competing also seems like a more fun way to learn, right?”
He stood up slowly, detaching his legs from hers and walking slightly away. With a stamp of his foot the seat disappeared, and he turned to look at the woman. ”And to make it more interesting, how about a bet? Whoever loses,” he smiled before winking at the woman. ”Pays for dinner tonight. What do you say, Master?”

| "well, usually..." she shrugged, "although Ah ain't 'bout t'teach all my combat secrets!" she chuckled. "Ah'd never win 'nother fight if ever'one knew 'em." Although this was also a reference to her brawling and hand-to-hand skills. Even if she wasn't bending, she was still one of the best streetfighters the Earth Kingdom had to offer. In fact, this fighting style was part of where her earthbending tricks came from. Unlike lavabending though, her refusal to share (or even mention) these techniques was in fact, one of the few pride issues that Isi had.
"Dinner? ooooh... Ah could... Ah guess Ah could git 'hind that..." mshe'd obviously have to clean up after this, to not be all dusty and sweaty, but that might just be a nice excuse to see her all dressed up all cutesey-like. Isi did have a very feminine side under that rock-throwing fight-fighting exterior of hers.
She took a fighting stance, almost as if this *was* a streetfight. "Alraht 'en... at 'yer ready!"

The nomad clicked his neck as the woman got into a stance. It was a fairly heavy stance, and Elegys could tell that she had fought before. He himself dropped into a lighter one, still smiling at his new Master.
Time to wipe the floor with her…
No! Let her win…
What are you talking about? I’m not letting her beat me!
Trust me; it’ll work.”
The ground around Elegys shook slightly as he stomped upon it, causing several rocks to float around him. He grinned wider before kicking the closest one and sending it hurtling towards Isikiro. As he did so, he brought his hands together into a clap which made the other two rocks converge upon Isikiro’s position from each side.
But he wasn’t finished there. He rushed forwards, hopefully while the woman was dealing with the first attack, arms spread out next to him. He concentrated upon the spirit within him, willing it to fuel his energy – and it did. Earth leapt from the ground and moulded itself around his forearms just in time for him to send his fist hurtling towards the small girl’s face. Normally he wouldn’t be beating on a woman the first time they met, but it wasn’t like Isi couldn’t handle it.

| Isi might have been a well-standing and honest citizen, but in a fight, she pulled out all the stops. in a streetfight, she was notorious for fighting dirty. In a bending fight... well, she would do what it took to win. she did not know her win record with them, but her streetfight record was currently 549-170, with her current streak sitting at 66. she didn't exactly want that broken (even if this was not a street fight).
as Isi glanced around at the rocks closing in on her, she decided to put some defenses of her own. She launched herself into the air with an earthen column, backflipping off of it with surprising grace for the heavy-footed coal miner. sa Elegy's rocks collided with the column (where she herself had been standing moments later, she forced it all back down by heating it into lava, also putting a small barrier between them. However, she was not running, and instead, she hardened it almost immediately, bringing her back into view. She brought up four large levitating stones, and began making them circle herself as she drew closer to Elegys. It was a good way to pull an offense while staying defended, although she knew there were ways to break through--she hoped that she'd have an answer for whichever one he tried.

Elegys’ rock-coated hand collided with the rock pillar, causing his gauntlet to shatter instantly. He growled before looking around for Isikiro, but put his arm up to cover his face as the pillar in front of him transformed into lava. He took a step back to make sure it didn’t burn him, but before he knew what was happening it had turned to rock once more. He removed the arm from his eyes and saw the earthbender standing in front of him with four rocks levitating around her.
Looks like you couldn’t beat her even if you wanted to.
Shut up. I can handle this.
The nomad rushed forwards once more, but this time didn’t bother collecting any earth as a weapon. Once he reached the rocks, he began to weave between them, practicing the techniques he had learned as an Airbender. A soft smile grew to his lips from the memory, but he didn’t have the chance to be distracted. He jumped in the air and kicked off of one of the rocks, landing behind the woman.
”Impressive,” he said, extending his hand and poking her playfully in the back. ”But I won’t let you off that easily!”
With Isikiro’s back to him, Elegys was in the prime position. Unbeknownst to the Earthbending Master, his eyes flashed a deep orange before he stamped, causing the floor they were both standing on to drop into the ground. Once they were quite a few feet down, the nomad stopped their descent and jumped backwards, landing in an expanded area that he forced behind him. Waving his arm, he closed up the hole that they had come through.
”How are you at fighting in the dark? I hope you eat your carrots,” he said with a smile. All of the light had been extinguished as soon as he had sealed them in there, and he was willing to bet that Isikiro would utilise her lava to create some source of light.
And then I’ll have her…
Eating carrots? Smooth.

| As Elegys began weaving through the rocks, Isi took a more cautious stance as well. She was surprisingly quick on her feet despite her heavy stances and footfalls. "Ah'd hope not!" she laughed, "Ah maht not look lahk much, but Ah'm purdy certain Ah kin at least hold mah own..." she was not one to boast, but she would back up any claims she made about herself with deeds. This was no exception.
Isi noticed almost at once what was going on when the chasm appeared beneath them. She punched the wall to slow her fall as she tumbled down in side and let the earth cover her. Clearly Elegys was not well-versed in the art of fighting earthbenders, because one of the biggest mistakes was to surround them on all sides with their element.
"Ye dun goofed!" she chuckled in the darkness, remaining stock still, using her bare feet for her seismic senses, to locate her oppoenent. "firs'.... never trap an earthbender in 'er own element. second... never trah t'trap a miner in th'dark!" she laughed, stamping her feet, causing the rocks above them to loosen, and some of the tunnel they were in, to begin collapsing. She could 'see' just fine down here. this would be a cakewalk.

I told you trapping her underground wouldn’t turn out well, didn’t I? She sees through the earth, remember!
Don’t make me come in there, Elegys.
When the cavern began to shake, the nomad took a few steps backwards before freezing. She saw through the earth? A wry smile clung to his lips, and he waved his hand nonchalantly. A tiny gust of air materialised underneath him, invisible to the naked eye. It only floated him a few inches off of the ground, but it was enough –without a connection to the earth, Isikiro wouldn’t be able to use her senses against him.
”Maybe I like it in the dark,” he said, gliding soundlessly around the underground cavern. ”It’s a lot more private down here, wouldn’t you agree? Nobody to watch us, nobody to see what we do…” He drew closer to the woman, approaching her from behind without even releasing a breath to reveal his presence.
”Just me and you, Isikiro,” he breathed into her ear, before backtracking quickly in case she tried to retaliate with an attack.

| When Elegys "disappeared", however, Isikiro only grew more suspicious. He was not using one of her old tricks, where one would disappear underground for a split-second and pop back up a moment later in a different location, because she would have been able to sense the disruption of the earth. the only conclusion she could some to was that it was some airbending trick--unless he had reached such a level of zen that he was able to levitate on his own.
But that didn't make sense. he was an earthbender, right? she had seen it herself. Well... she wasn't out of tricks just yet. Forming a protective layer of rock around herself, she brought the walls of the tunnel closer to her and then spread her arms out. the metal on her arms fanned out, and then she ebgan spinning them. the metal clashed with the rock and sparks flew, lighting up the place for a moment. "AH-HA!" she smirked as she caught flickers of his presence, "no more'o that flyin' airbendin' magic 'r wut have ya!" she really didn't know what he had done, but being so rooted to the earth, airbending did kind of seem like something magical to her-- and that was the only explanation she had for someone disappearing from her seismic senses for so long--at least this deep underground. no one could jump that high in such close quarters when the ceiling was so low.
After a couple seconds of making the sparks fly though, she ceased suddenly and then began closing the tunnel forcing them both into closer quarters by filling the space behind her with rock and raising the floor to the point where it was less than 6 feet from the floor. For little Isi, who was only 5'5", she could stand up straight just fine, but someone taller would need to either crouch or adjust the dimensions of the room themselves--something Isi would sense.

The cavern began closing up around the pair, but Elegys found himself not worried. Still floating in the air, he pulled his legs up closer to his chest, meaning that he could fit in the tunnel without touching the edges.
”You definitely made it cosy in here, Isikiro.”
He placed his foot on the ground directly in front of the Earthbender, before cutting off the supply of air beneath him. As his other foot touched the floor, he forced the earth above him into a gentle upwards slope so that he could stand comfortably.
”Looks like I won’t be able to beat you so easily; maybe we should just go eat? This could take a long time.”

| "well, Ah dun wanna accidentally kill 'r maim ya..." she acknowledged. she didn't mind roughing someone up, but she had a keen understanding of how dangerous and destructive her powers could be. It had been during a rampage through the Firelord's palace that she had learned this, but that was another story entirely.
"but it's gettin' hot in here..." she opened the rock above her, propelling herself to the surface with ease, although leaving an ample opening for him to do the same. "Ah'm down f'er callin' it a draw... but then who pays f'er dinner?" she'd still need/want to get cleaned up too, because now she was all sweaty and kind of smelly, which was the natural result of a good long workout. But, surely he'd understand.

The nomad tilted his head slightly, his mouth curling up at the end, as Isikiro spoke. Accidently kill or maim him? She would be so lucky. Once she had propelled herself out of the hole, Elegys let out a sigh. This might be a long night.
He raised one of his hands and the earth he was standing upon started to rise until the Dark Avatar was on the surface. He stepped off the platform then, standing in front of Isikiro. ”Dinner’s on me – how about we meet back here in an hour? You might already look beautiful enough for dinner, but I have to wash up a bit,” he said, winking and then brushing some dust off of his tunic.

| "Alraht 'en... wanna just meet back 'ere then?" whatever place he told her to meet at, she would go to. Otherwise, she'd hurry home to go get cleaned up and dressed up.
Isi was not exactly the most elaborate or exquisite fashionista out there, but she could still look fairly classy without being too homely. She donned a velvet dress and matching black heels after she had cleaned up, and straightened her curls to rid them of any knots or tangles, but otherwise left it down. her hair was still a little bit damp as she prepared to meet back up with Elegys, a bag on her shoulder and a slight skip to her step.
And it was there that she would wait.

With a nod and a wave, Elegys turned in the other direction and began to walk. He hadn’t exactly planned for the trip, so he only had the one set of clothes – not like he owned any others that he could have brought with him anyway. He shrugged internally to himself and kept walking, heading down a small side street next to a hotel.
Glancing around slowly, he peered up and down the alleyway for anybody that might be watching. Satisfied that he was alone, he waved his arms in a wide arc around his head before pushing his palms downwards. Two bursts of air shot out from his hands, sending him flying straight up into the air, where he landed neatly on a balcony. Glancing through the window to make sure it was empty, he stepped inside.
The room was nice, which caused the airbender to smile. People who could afford nice rooms generally had nice clothes, which would only help him further his ambitions. Grinning, he stepped into the adjoining bathroom, letting his tunic and trousers fall to the floor as he did so. His fingers gently traced the scar upon his mid-riff as he glanced in the small mirror, the other hand running over his head. His hair was starting to grow back, but for some reason he felt no desire to shave it off. Removing the thought from his head for now, he scoured the room for a water source.
He found it in the form of a sizeable container which contained cold water with dregs of dirt floating on top of it. Scowling, he placed a hand on each side of the metal container and willed heat into his hands. His eyes flashed their distinctive burnt orange colour for only a second before the water began to bubble, and he removed his hands from the bucket. He stood back and adopted a waterbending stance, his naked body easily falling into one that he had learned from Nelekar all those months ago.
Five minutes later he had washed – waterbending was certainly a good trick to remove the actual water from the dirt in a bucket, he thought. Turning to walk out of the bathroom, he waved a hand. A gust of air whipped around his body, drying him instantly as he stepped through the doorway. His first stop was to the wardrobe, where the nomad yanked open the doors and let out a sigh.
It was filled with everyday clothes, not dissimilar to the fashions displayed in the teashops around Ba Sing Se and even further beyond. But what he needed was something flashy, something to make him stand out – something like the suit that hung in the furthest corner of the wardrobe, gathering a nice layer of dust. Grinning to himself, he pulled it out and blew on it, causing all of the dust to fly off as the suit waved in the breeze.
Fortunately for him, the trousers fit nicely, if a little snug. The shirt came next, which he just about managed to fit over his large chest and arms, even if the fabric did whinge as he did up the buttons. When it came to the jacket, however, it was a no go. He could fit one arm in, no problem, but as soon as he tried to put the second in, he found his arms locked behind his back with the jacket giving no leeway for him to pull it onto his torso. Growling to himself, he slung it over his shoulder and was halfway out of the door when a voice came into his head.
Not wearing shoes to your date?
He spun back around and grabbed the pair of shoes from inside the cupboard, which were fortunately made of leather and looked half-way presentable. He just about managed to squeeze his feet inside, and ran a hand over his head as he this time turned to the window, his original point of entry. Hopping over the railing on the balcony, he landed on the ground with a dull thud and began walking straight away, round the corner to the practice yard where he could see a figure already waiting.
Once he came to realise it was Isikiro, his jaw dropped. She certainly scrubbed up well – her hair, once tangled and knotted, was as smooth as silk, and her dress hugged her curves like she was made for it.
”Wow,” Elegys muttered, stepping forwards to the young woman. ”You look beautiful. Not that you didn’t before, I mean, it’s just… Wow.”
He extended his elbow for her to take, and waved his other arm at the city around them. ”The city is yours tonight, Isikiro – anything you want. But first, we need dinner. I know of a place around here, apparently it has the best food in the entire Kingdom. How about we try it out?”

| Elegys didn't clean up half bad, once Isi saw him. She swayed her hips side to side in a cheerful sort of way without being too giddy. It wasn't like they were getting married or anything, but a date was still a date, and she expected a fairly nice one. "Aww, shucks... thanks." she smiled, a tiny bit flattered at his compliment, but she could collect herself better than that. At his next comment, her smile grew.
"Ah'm game," she nodded, "Ah dun' 'xactly know wher else t'go, but if y'know of sum d'licious place t'go and eat, Ah'm raht behind ya!" she chuckled. Her heels made light clicking noises as she walked, but it was clear that this girl had some rather nice balance. her dress revealed her curves rather well, even if the skirts flowed at her ankles and the sleeves extended to her wrist. she was still rather lovely, and while the dress was quite modest, it did almost make those who saw it want to peel it off... but for now... date time, right? Isi's stomach was rumbling. she was ready to go eat!

The nomad’s smile grew as Isikiro replied to him. Once they linked arms, he started to walk slowly down the street. The sun had set only minutes earlier, and the sky was a deep orange, welcoming in the first of the stars to the night sky. A cool breeze shook the air, but the airbender was warm enough, even though his jacket was still slung over his shoulder.
They arrived at their destination after only a few minutes. The outside resembled a palace, with huge marble pillars and gilded mahogany doors. They were propped open by what appeared to be statues of some kind of dragon, but Elegys was uncertain. He stepped up in front of the passageway, pausing when the maître d' approached the pair.
“I am sorry monsieur et madame, we are fully booked for this evening – may I suggest one of the other restaurants upon the boulevard?”
Elegys stepped forwards and leaned in close, pulling a gold coin out from his pocket and depositing it into the man’s breast pocket. He glanced down before clearing his throat and stepping aside. “Welcome to le palais de l'amour – the palace of love! Please, come this way.”
With a grin over his shoulder at Isikiro, he motioned for her to walk beside him as he entered. The tables were all set out with two seats, lit with what appeared to be golden candlesticks and the finest of cutlery. But the smell was the main component of the room – as soon as they walked through the door they were hit with a wave of fine-smelling delicacies, each one smelling more sumptuous than the last. Elegys licked his lips in anticipation as they followed the maître d’ further into the restaurant.
”Somewhere near the window,” Elegys said, closing the distance to the man. He slipped a second gold coin into his pocket, and the man nodded. He led them over to a table right next to a huge set of bay windows, which were thrown open to display the wondrous skyline of Ba Sing Se. Elegys nodded at the man, who walked away. He pulled out one of the chairs, motioning for Isikiro to take a seat. ”For you, madame,” he said, smiling sweetly at her. Once she sat he pushed her seat in before moving to his own, smiling across the table.
“Would you care for some drinks before you order?” said a waitress who had just walked over. Elegys didn’t even bother to glance at a menu, shooting a flirtatious glance at Isikiro before looking up at the waitress.
”A bottle of Goût de Diamants, if you please.”
“Excellent choice, sir.” She walked away to collect the bottle of champagne, and Elegys turned to Isikiro.
”The Taste of Diamonds,” he said in explanation. ”An excellent bottle of champagne for such an occasion, wouldn’t you agree?”
The waitress returned quickly with the champagne in an ice bucket, and set up a small table which she placed the bucket upon. She then put two champagne flutes on the table and poured some in each, at which point Elegys nodded to her in thanks. She retreated quickly, leaving the bottle in the bucket for later consumption.
”What do you think, Isikiro?” he said, taking his own glass and taking a sip. The taste was deliciously refreshing to the man’s taste buds, but a voice raged inside his head.
You know I don’t drink, Vaatu. 32 years dry, and you’ve ruined it.[/i

| Isi was admittedly a bit awestruck at the entire establishment, feeling like Elegys had really pulled out all the stops. She wasn't sure if she was going to pursue a romantic future with him or anything, but she could at least still have a nice date, right? She almost looked like a kid in a candy shop, the almost romantic serenity of the place being very relaxing. she could smell several different things in the air, all of them good--some smelled like fragrances, whilst others smelled of delicious food.
Isi sat down, crossing her feet at the ankle from under her skirts. She had learned a few things about ladylike behavior, but all in all, she wasn't acting too different. She was very down-to-earth and subtlety was not her thing. Hers was a fairly simple life.
She smiled at his choice in drinks. She was no Korra Tonraizi or Meili Zalika, but she could hold her liquor well. "Ah'd say so." she nodded, "it cer'nly looks good." she watched it get poured, and figured that within a few seconds she'd find out if it tasted as good as it looked. she took a decent sip from her own glass, and it was as good as it sounded and looked. "it's divahn," she smiled. "thank'ee... f'er all o' this." Even then though, she wasn't going to take this as bribery. This was just a date, unrelated to anything else. If he was going to demand compensation, she'd walk out right now... but she didn't think that was going to happen.
