Training: Tsukiyomi was trained primarily by her mother who had a very aggressive style in earth bending. Without a proper water bending teacher, Tsuki's bending is very different than that associated with the Water Tribes.

Personality: Tsukiyomi is a very straight forward young woman. She speaks her mind and the truth whenever necessary. She's respectful and shows respect to those that deserve it. Though being respectful does not equate to being gentle or tactful when it comes to her. She's capable of empathy but she does not allow these emotions to cloud her judgement simply because she can't afford it in her profession. She's quick witted and has sarcastic sense of humor. Outside of a mission, Tsukiyomi can be fun and laid back but when she's on the clock or when money is involved, she's not for playing games. A lot of people assume that Tsukiyomi would do anything for money and that's a fair assumption but it's false in a sense. There are plenty of things Tsukiyomi would rather not do in her line of work and therefore it requires a very worthy payout for her. She's not against rejecting a mission due to conflicting interest. Tsukiyomi's sense of right and wrong are not as black and white as the general public. In her world, there's a lot of gray and with that a lot to know and understand about society. She believes people are capable of doing some very dark things if pushed hard enough.

Abilities:

Waterbending: Tsuki's waterbending is not like the traditional form of waterbending. Commonly a waterbenders movements are fluid and flow like the element itself. This was true when Tsuki began learning the basics between various teachers for hire but did not translate well in her own self training. Tsuki's style of waterbending is often seen as sporadic or untamed, lacking discipline and anything but gentle. This is mostly due to the training with her mother, an earth bender. She had to learn become more rugged, forceful, and all around tough. She couldn't just flow like water, she had to make water obey. She's very versatile like all waterbenders in her use, she simply lacks the beautiful grace they tend to carry.

Icebending: Tsuki's icebending is more in line with earthbending. Her movements are more like that of a traditional earthbender just like her mother.

Hand to Hand: Tsuki's hand to hand combat was essential since she was a waterbender. It was actually something she was practicing prior to her bending. Her mother was a tough woman and Tsuki aspired to be like her. She had her mom create training regimes for her to follow to help build her body into tough fortress it needed to be. She learned to tolerate pain and become very agile. With her smaller frame and weight, she learned to use her opponent's strength against them. She trained her senses and developed her attention to detail to pick up on her opponents weaknesses. She's even learned the art of chi-blocking through the pressure points of the body. Most of her hand to hand training was because she knew she wouldn't always have water around her to bend and needed to be able to handle herself.

Healing: Tsuki has dabbled in the healing power of her water bending and learned much about the body and maintaining good health. Since she is mostly on her own in work, she needs to be able to take care of herself.

Bow and Arrow: Tsuki's trained eye for detail goes much further than that. She's developed her eye and sight so that she can function as an expert marksman. She can follow high speed movements and hit her mark more times than not.

Assassin: Tsuki is a for hire Assassin and as such she has developed the skills to function as one. She's a hunter of not just animals but people as well and knows how to use available resources to follow and trail and set traps as well as spot them. She prefers stealth and sly tactics with instant results for her targets. Even when confronted, she can be sly within her aggressive fighting style. She's deceptive in combat. As an assassin she's also on her own a lot and therefore she's a survivalist. She knows how to hunt, set up camp, and scrounge for food even in the most unforgiving environments.

Tsukiyomi is a small young woman, not very tall and not very wide or fat. In fact her body is very fit and in shape, well toned. She has a gentle appearance but it's obvious she at least works out to the random stranger. Though 22, sometimes people will mistake her for younger which she uses to her advantage at times. Her hair is black and medium length. She often allows it to cover part of her face which causes some people to think she's shy or bashful, which again is used to her advantage at times. She wears a black jacket with a military style to it. Underneath this a white shirt and a dark blue scarf. She wears black pants and black boots as well. She keeps her bow and arrows on her back. Tsuki also wears black gloves on her hands. Her rugged appearance can also have others mistake her for a boy, which comes to no surprise. Tsuki has one scar from battle on her back when she was cut. It was from when she first started as an assassin and nearly cost her her life. For her it's a reminder of how dangerous it is to be naive and too trustworthy.

History:

Tsukiyomi, or Tsuki, was born in the Earth Kingdom in the city of Ba Sing Se. Her mother a hardened soldier of the Earth Kingdom military and member of the Dai Li. Her father...a man she did not see too often. Truth was, Tsuki was the product of an one night affair between her mother and a man from the Northern Water Tribe. He was not really involved in her life even though whenever he was in town he would visit her mother and bring along his son as well. His son became very fond of Tsuki and her mother and practically included himself in their family. Her mother did not seem to mind since it meant that she'd get to keep this man in her life in some shape or form. Tsuki did not understand the attachment and it wasn't until she was older that she began to see it as her mother's one true weakness. However growing up, she learned to accept her half-brother but it was obvious they came from two separate worlds.

Tsuki was very fond of her mother's strength when her father was not in the picture. Her mother made sure Tsuki had everything she needed and that they would never struggle. But she also made sure Tsuki never took her privileged life for granted. Tsuki was forced to see and sometimes experience life in the poor districts of the Earth Kingdom. This was to humble her and show her how life can be so unfair to those without the means.

Tsuki's training mostly came from her mother in her off time. Her mother focused on conditioning her body and being able to defend herself without bending. In fact there was a time where they were not sure Tsuki would be a bender at all. It wasn't uncommon to have nonbender children, especially in the Earth Kingdom. But eventually her ability would manifest but not as earth bending but water, like her father. Her mother did not really know how to teach her bending since she was an earth bender. She instead hired water benders she found within the earth kingdom to teach Tsuki the basics. Once she had became familiar with the basics, Tsuki began practicing on her own and with her mother. She developed her own style of water bending more or less. It was rugged and spontaneous, mainly to keep up with her mother, a seasoned soldier. Once she had learned the art of Ice bending, she was able to adopt more of her mother's bending characteristics.

Once she became of age, Tsuki was expected to join the earth kingdom military. Her mother wanted that for her. However Tsuki did not want to become a shadow of her mother. Tsuki wanted to put her skills to the test elsewhere. She wanted to travel and see the world, since she spent most of her life within the confines of the Earth Kingdom. There was much to see and experience. Her mother wasn't too fond of this but accepted it. She wanted her daughter to find her own way.

Today Tsuki is a renowned young assassin with a few notable marks on her resume. She's known as a neutral party, not caring for politics and assumed easily influenced by a price. She's who the world leaders turn to when they don't want to get their hands dirty. Her mother is still a member of the Dai Li and they have a healthy relationship. She also gets along with her half-brother.

"I just want you to know that none of this is personal Lieutenant," Tsukiyomi would say stepping from the shadows of the room, a blade in her hand. Bound and gagged in a chair was a middle aged man. He sat still and strong, staring back at Tsuki as she twirled the knife between her fingers. "You know that already, don't you?"

The lieutenant was soaking wet due to the prior fight. His salt and pepper hair laid flat. He began to mumble something which would prompt Tsuki to removed the rope from his mouth. "You don't have to do this, how much are they paying you?" He asked with desperation clear in his voice.

"They're paying me enough to have me here, that's all you need to know. I don't really care too much for their reason but word on the street is that you're abusing your power and need to be out of the picture. But again, I don't care about any of that," Tsuki would say. She really didn't care for her benefactor's reasons. She was just carrying out another job.

"Is there anything you do care about?" The lieutenant looked at her with complete disgust.

"Heh. How much would you pay me to spare your life Lieutenant?" Tsuki would take a step back, folding her arms across her chest. She waiting with sincere interest in his answer.

"Anything, i'd give anything!" He exclaimed.

"500,000," she would say calmly. It was clear the lieutenant did not have that kind of money in any form. All hope disappeared from his face. "Yeah, tough luck," Tsuki would say, unfolding her arms and gripping the blade handle firmly. Without further hesitation, Tsuki would stab the lieutenant in directly in the heart. She didn't want him to suffer too much and his death would come quickly.

With that done, Tsuki would gather her things and make her exit from the cabin where she was holding the lieutenant. It was a remote location with few travelers in the area. She would leave the body exactly where it was, bound to the chair so it was obvious. As an assassin there was no reason to cover up her kills unless specifically requested. Assassinations were messy, it's precisely why people hired her. But now, Tsuki was off toward her next job, an escort for a wealthy young woman. She didn't always have to kill a target, sometime she was hired to protect someone.

so it looks pretty good. the only thing I have to bring into question is kevlar, which doesn't exist in the Avatar World (yet?), and similarly was not seen in Legend of Korra either (historically, it and similar strong fibers were not perfected till around 1964).

otherwise, it seems about good enough to be accepted. get back to me when you can.

Edited, exchanged kevlar for synthetic fiber. Plausible invention, not perfect but it's something. Not sure what else to call it o.o
