Personality: As an ISFJ, Taek's primary mode of living is focused internally, where he takes things in via the five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. His secondary mode is external, where he deals with things according to how he feel about them, or how they fit into his personal value system.
Taek lives in a world that is concrete and kind. They are truly warm and kind-hearted, and want to believe the best of people. They value harmony and cooperation, and are likely to be very sensitive to other people's feelings. People value Taek for his consideration and awareness, and his ability to bring out the best in others by the firm desire to believe the best in them.
Most people of this personality type have a rich inner world that is not usually obvious to observers. Constantly taking in information about people and situations that is personally important to them, and store it away. This tremendous store of information is usually startlingly accurate, because the ISFJ has an exceptional memory about things that are important to their value systems. It would not be uncommon for Taek or anyone like him to remember a particular facial expression or conversation in precise detail years after the event occured, if the situation made an impression on him in some way.
Like many people, Taek has a very clear idea of the way things should be, which they strive to attain. He values security and kindness, and respect traditions and laws. He tends to believe that existing systems are there because they work. Therefore, he is not likely to buy into doing things in a new way, unless shown in a concrete way why its better than the established method.
Taek learns best by doing, rather than by reading about something in a book, or applying theory. For this reason, he is not likely to be found in fields which require a lot of conceptual analysis or theory. They value practical application. Traditional methods of higher education, which require a lot of theorizing and abstraction, are likely to be a chore for him. Taek typically learns the value of a a task best by being shown its practical application. Once the task is learned, and its practical importance is understood, Taek will faithfully and tirelessly carry through the task to completion in this regard, he is very dependable.
He also has an extremely well-developed sense of space, function, and aesthetic appeal. For that reason, he is very fond of beautifully furnished, functional homes. Considered to have inherited his mother's taste in furniture, the pathway for the carpentry and interior decoration was briefly open for Taek. This special ability, combined with his sensitivity to other's feelings and desires, makes them very likely to be great gift-givers - finding the right gift which will be truly appreciated by the recipient.
More so than other types, ISFJs are extremely aware of their own internal feelings, as well as other people's feelings. They do not usually express their own feelings, keeping things inside. If they are negative feelings, they may build up inside the ISFJ until they turn into firm judgments against individuals which are difficult to unseed, once set. In this regard, Taek is quite dissimilar to his personality profile, with little to no tendency to bottle up his emotions and instead freely dumps his worries and woes into physical vestibules such as writing - he keeps quite a faithful diary or some sort of vice like nicotine.
Taek typically feels a strong sense of responsibility and duty. This occasionally becomes taken for granted- with people naturally tend to rely on them. Further compounding this, Taek has a difficult time saying "no" when asked to do something, and may become over-burdened (and frequently does). In such cases, Taek does not usually express their difficulties to others, because he intensely dislikes conflict. And because he refuses to tend to his own needs above anothers.
Abilities:
Appearance: Perhaps it was the horrendous sideburns that drew your eye. Perhaps not again, it has frequently been said that despite his relatively plain appearance, the aura of a troublemaker lurks just behind his smile. But that smile rarely surfaces nowadays. There are etchings running across his face, old lines that rarely see use now. However, when the occasion does strike him to crack the old charm up again, it fits in much the same way that an old second hand glove fits a hand. Worn in, forgotten, but still usable. From thereon, it becomes more and more complex to tie down Taek who has spent so much of his life running from himself that achieving the ideal of being unable to recognise the man in the mirror is praised above all else. If even he could not remember his face, how could anyone else be expected to? However, he was cursed with not so much a memorable appearance - as he was never a good looking. Either as a lad, or as a young man. Instead, his presence has always been something noteworthy. Some have talked about his smell, others his naturally quiet demeanour coupled with his ability to locate the centre of the action and act when required. For most however, his voice is his most defining trait. It is said that the first thing to be forgotten about someone is that you cannot recall the sound of their voice. Even the nuances of their use of language. This unfortunately happens to be Taek's most distinguishing characteristic, with a deep rich almost musical baritone. The origin of this voice is not completely natural, as it stems from the stutter he had as child. Being shy, it compounded itself in a speech impediment that only worsened as the years dragged on. Getting access to a speech therapist was a decision made by his parents as none of their efforts made any headway. Long story short, singing became a good way for Taek to accustomise himself with his voice. The talent has well and truly faded now, only leaving him with the affects of a long term effort forcibly put into mastering his own vocal cords that came about in much the same way as if someone who is new to a language may come to have a greater technical understanding of it then a native speaker who has a intuitive understanding of it.
The rest of his physical appearance is relatively boring - Taek has a tendency to wear civilian clothing more often than more formal or otherwise appropriate attire - forgoing even the standard fishet undergarment unless on mission. Low hanging jeans and a belt hanging loose are normally found on his lower body. The jeans will invariably be faded, ripped, or a combination of both as is fashionable. The belt is normally quite thin, coloured black (this is claimed to be the only piece of gear he will directly replace with a duplicate if damaged or destroyed). Instead of a buckle system, it has a clasp at the head of it and a series of studs on the underside that hook into a corresponding number of holes on the other end of the belt. However, it is very rarely done up properly -if at all- so this is more of a moot point then anything else. Over the top goes a plain white shirt, and a sleeveless jacket of differing descriptions and styles as suits Taek's preference.
