Kameela

Kameela happily pinned her poster on the Misty Palms Oasis Cantina's bulletin. Reading her neat brushwork again, she said out loud, "Si Wong Desert Tour Guide and Escort services. I am a Si Wong Desert Tour Guide. My service fee is a total of 2 gold pieces. I can sandbend. I am not a prostitute."

The reason for the rather strange ending in Kameela's advertisement was because the last time she was helping a traveler across the harsh desert environment, he apparently misunderstood "escort" for "call girl" and tried to have his way with her (she wasn't even sure it was legal!) Very insulted by this, Kameela turned the other way on her sand sailer without looking back. Of course, more likely than not the creepy traveler would have perished under the Si Wong Desert sun, but Kameela did not care in the least. In fact, her conscience wasn't even dented in the slightest.

Hoping for better clients this time, she waited eagerly for new clients.

Fujin Kaze

After spending a few days in the Plains Village, Fujin finally decided it was time for him to head east and trek through Si Wong Desert. Known as the largest desert, Si Wong was not a joke for amateur travelers. Fortunately, Fujin wasn't an amateur anymore. Two long years and many adventures later and Fujin is quite an adept on survival. However, this journey gave Fujin mixed emotions of excitement as well as nervousness. This very well could prove to be one of his greatest challenges yet, especially when venturing out alone, although this is usually the way Fujin preferred to travel.

The first day in the desert went fairly well, the winds were mild and while the heat was intense, Fujin made great strides. With every step, Fujin would bend the air around his foot and blast the sand underneath, eliminating the loose sand so his feet wouldn't sink and allow him better footing. The second day was incredibly windy, blowing sand and warm strong winds in Fujin's face. Feeling a bit agitated, Fujin concentrated and bent the air around his body, creating a thin invisible shield, keeping wind and sand at bay. This gave Fujin an odd appearance, an observer would realize that admist the sandy winds, Fujin's hair and clothes were un-moving, as if the winds simply went around him.

The weather on the third day was tolerable, however Fujin was exhausted, physically and mentally. As if the Gods themselves blessed him at that moment, off in the distance Fujin noticed what looked to be a small town. Hoping it's not an illusion, Fujin rubbed his eyes.

"Woo hoo!!" exclaimed Fujin after realizing it was real.

Misty Palm Oasis Cantina was what the sign read as Fujin entered the village. He spent the rest of the day restocking on supplies and recovering from his strenuous three day journey. On the next day he decided to explore the town a little further.

"Si Wong Desert Tour Guide and Escort services. I am a Si Wong Desert Tour Guide. My service fee is a total of 2 gold pieces. I can sandbend. I am not a prostitute."

Fujin heard someone say. Turning around to face the speaker, he was quite taken aback. While the speaker sounded quite feminine, they were dressed like the other men in the village and their face was well covered. He read the flyer the guide posted up, noting that the word 'prostitute' was feminized, confirming that the speaker is female.

"Not a prostitute? I would never have guessed if you were one by dressing like that." Fujin joked with a big smile as he walked up to the escort guide.

"The name's Fujin, what's yours?"

Kameela

Kameela examined the boy in front of her and then smiled, he seemed respectable enough, "Actually, since my clothing is so tight, this could be considered slutty by Bouyei standards", she joked. "My name is Kameela. Kameela Narangtsetseg of the Bouyei Tribe. You could tell I'm female by the way i wrap my scarf around my head", she explained.

"So where are you headed? Hopefully, it's somewhere where you'd have to cross our 'big bad desert' to reach your destination. I charge two gold pieces for the first week, and one silver piece for each additional week. Interested?"

Fujin Kaze

Fujin was caught off guard by Kameela's joke, and had a good laugh, immediately followed by a slight blush of embarassment. He wasn't used to the village's atire and may have offended his escort.

"Nice to meet you Kameela, my name is Fujin. Fujin Kaze of the Eastern Air Temple. You couldn't tell I'm an airbender by the way I'm not dressed as a monk."" Fujin introduced himself, using Kamela's own style of introdution, much to his sense of humour.

"As a matter of fact I want to cross this big bad desert so bad I'm willing to give up the last few golds to my name." said Fujin, finishing with him pulling out his coin purse and prepared to hand Kameela 2 gold coins.

"Damn this journey is making me thirsty...how am I suppose to cross this damn desert without getting dehydrated?" Shiva thought. Just as she said this, she saw a poster pinned at the bulletin board. "Perfect!" She thought. She bought a jar of water and some food and headed towards the person who posted the advertisement. But unfortunately, someone seemed to be already negotiating with her. 'This must not happen...." Shiva came running towards them.

"Stop! This is my ride." Shiva rudely pushed the boy at the side. "I'll pay to 6 coins for you to escort me, got that?" Shiva said to the girl.

Fujin Kaze

"Stop! This is my ride. I'll pay to 6 coins for you to escort me, got that?"

Said a random girl who rudely pushed Fujin to the side. She offered to pay Kameela twice as much as he was paying, exceeding Fujin's own funds. The girl was obviously more desperate to get out of this place than he was and Fujin is confident in himself, so he decided to journey to the end of Si Wong Desert to Omashu by himself, as he is usually accustomed to.

"6 coins eh? I'd be happy to escort you out the desert myself!" said Fujin half-joking with a big smile, then immediately laughed realizing that he couldn't do such a thing, besides not knowing the way and possibly killing himself, he'd surely leave that girl to her doom.

"Haha, just kidding. You two be safe now, I'm going on my own, I would rather spend 6 gold coins on something worthwhile, like Earth King Lei race Fire Lord Shula while riding Badgermoles up the Eastern Air Temple mountain." Fujin said, giving his farewell in his own fashion.

After doing so, Fujin spoke to many of the townspeople and took some advice on how to reach Omashu, packed and confident he knew how, he stepped back into Si Wong Desert, en route to Omashu.
