Personality: Katsu is usually portrayed as a cocky, arrogant and immature boy who tends to make jokes even when fighting, easily gets full of himself and enjoys attention. This attitude can sometimes make him look obnoxious or dumb. He always attempts to hide his own fears about the situation, though he denies it and say he is actually oblivious. Despite his immaturity, Katsu is actually good-hearted, and his actions are motivated above all by a strong and sincere will to help and save others in need. He's shown to deeply care for other's lives, and would choose to save people by himself even when he dislikes them. This cause him to have a strong dislike for sacrifices or life compromises and occasionally act against reason. When meeting an enemy in trouble, he'll usually attempt to help him rather than win the easy way. While this somehow overly idealistic nature is often criticized by his father, most characters usually consider it as Katsu's most important quality. When seeing people getting hurt by his fault or because of his failures, Katsu tends to get mad and acts much more violent and aggressive than he usually does. He becomes willing to kill anyone if necessary, acting ruthless, aggressive and pessimistic. Though often stated to be silly or unintelligent because of his immaturity, Katsu is actually shown to be cunning and resourceful when needed, usually showing good adaptation skills. When he occasionally put his immaturity aside, he's shown to be a very competent fighter. It's also evident that he actually is extremely smart in some respects, possessing advanced intuition.

Abilities: Katsu is a master at waterbending. He can turn water into ice and use advansed techniques but he can not bloodbend nor heal. He is a great hunter and fisher, which he learned from his father. Katsu is highly perceptive, during battle, enough to find some flaws, and suing them to his advantage.

Perceptive Combatant: Once he has a basic understanding of things, he learns very quickly. his most remarkable ability is his will to succeed, pushing himself beyond his limitations, and never giving up even when the odds are stacked against him.

Appearance: Black hair; short in the back with waist long antanae like hair from the side. Blue eyes and slightly tanned skin. Sleevless tai chi gi top, sleevless hooded jacket that falls just below his knees; has white trim. Blue-ish gray tai chi pants held up by a blue scarf, and tai chi like shoes. Blue gloves that cover his forearms with the thumb and index fingers showing; has white trim.

History: Born in the Northern Water Tribe, Katsu was identified as the Avatar by the age of 1 by the tribe's Sage. He lived a normal life until his 10th birthday. His father decided to start teaching him bending techniques, which he got right away. By age 14, Katsu was a master waterbender and skilled warrior. His mother further his skills by teaching him everything he needs to know about surviving out in the world.

On his 16th birthday, Katsu was told about about his great desteny. He was also told he would have to master all four elements to forfill that destiny; To do that would require him to travel the world. Frightened yet excited Katsu set off to adventure out into the real world.
