It's quiet, too quiet...

Seaik loved running. She especially loved running from people. But what she didn't like... that was being caught. She had gone through a less popular area in the market, and snatched up a non-bruised, but still not the best, apple. A few men saw it, obviously, and recognized her as the 'orphanage escapee', as they ran after her, the shopkeeper trailing behind. Now Seaeik was running, clutching on to her staff for dear life as if it was a sword. She ran up some stairs, unaware of where she could have been going, and turned up another flight. She looked up just as she reached the top, and the sight made her hesitate long enough to take in the view.

She saw a woman who was dressed... very fancy, compared to Seaeik's blue and sea green jacket, and there were guards all over the place. Well, before Seaeik could figure out the rest of the scene, her hesitation caught up. One of the faster men grabbed her shoulder, and she twirled around instinctively, thrusting her staff backwards through her hands until she was holding the middle and jabbing it into the man's stomach. He keeled over, but another fast guy caught up, grabbing the end of her staff. "Let go!! Stop!" Blind with rage, she pulled the staff back over her head, then swept it under his feet, making him topple over onto the first man who was trying to get up (lol).

Before the shopkeeper and the last man could get her, Seaeik jumped, propelled by her staff, into a snowy tree with no leaves. She bended the snow, melting it into water, and splashed it into all of their faces, making them momentarily weakened. She jumped down from the tree, then ran up another set of steps to where the lady was. Of course, that idea didn't work, as she felt a grab of her parka and a tug as she continued to run. She fell backwards, catching herself with the staff and barely standing. Seaeik looked back, saw the guard's fierce eyes, then glanced away. She looked past him and saw the shopkeeper still running up, and turned straight again, taking a shaky bite out of the apple. It didn't taste too sweet anymore.

I wouldn't recommend RPing in a topic that hasn't been posted in since a month ago. The other person has either moved on to another topic or is very inactive.
