Personality: Calm, understanding and eccentric about the past are the few words best chosen to describe Yeshe. To most everyone he encounters he is considered a gentle giant due to the combination of his large physique and always calm state of mind. Not one to pick a fight nor quick to anger he often is the go to nomad for resolving disputes or break standstills that the council has come to. Over the years he has worked his hardest to maintain the ideals of the airbenders and balance his family with it as well, though that did not turn out how he had hoped. He believe that any situation can come to a compromise that makes both sides happy, it’s just a matter of those who have the problem getting past their own vices. This was not something he remembered however when his daughter would come to visit, often trying to get her to remain at the Southern Air temple and continue her life where she left it years ago.


Abilities: Being a master airbender , Yeshe was brought up learning the strict dictations of the airbending style by his father. The traditional style focuses more on the evasive ability and moving around your opponent than direct blows as well as using your surroundings to your advantage, but against those who are more upfront with their aggressiveness he enjoys a more direct approach of hand to hand airbending. This primarily involves still moving in a circular pattern, but staying much closer to your opponent, using your own strikes in combination with airbending to block incoming blows or deliver a forceful one. This style of fighting is reserved for those whom he deems rude or too brunt which giving his personality he thinks this of very few individuals when he comes across them. He does use a traditional glider, but more for looks than flying considering his physical build is somewhat heavy.

Appearance: Yeshe’s appearance very closly resembles that of a traditional airbender attire of their orange and yellow robes. Having completed the thirty six tiers of airbending, he is also marked with the blue arrow tattoos that adore most older airbenders all of which connect along his back. The lack of hair on his head is balanced by the large brown beard that hangs from his face, often covering the wooden necklace that hangs around his neck composed of beads and the symbol for air hanging in the center.

History:
Being the son of airbenders that recently returned to the temples, Yeshe’s father was insistent on teaching his son airbending as well as Airbender history from a very young age. As the years went by he began to spend his spare time exploring the passages of the southern air temple to satisfy his curiosity and keep himself focused on things other than his studies. One of the days that he was going off to explore he was followed by a female airbender a few years younger than himself who he soon discovered to be named Elaheh. The friendship between the grew over the years into something more eventually and by the age of twenty five there was talk of marriage.

Around this point in time, Yeshe’s father fell ill and continued to get worse depsite the help from the healers. Chalking it up to old age they told the pair that he’d soon pass painlessly. Not wanting to waste time, Yeshe received the approval of Elaheh’s father and asked for her to marry him. A few days after the wedding the funeral was held and with Elaheh by his side he continued following his fathers wishes, continually training in the methods of airbending to eventually become a master in the art but keeping time aside of course for his newly wed wife.

After years of attempts to have a child they both saw it as hopeless; however they continued to try and were rewarded with a baby girl. With the celebration of new life came the gloom of death as Elaheh did not survive child birth. To relieve some of his pain he named his newly born daughter with the same name as her mother, her emerald eyes shining just the same. Sadly Yeshe was never good with children and worse with his own daughter, raising her as his father had raised him: with daily training and little down time. This often led to her skipping his training sessions which he understood at first, but as the behavior continued and eventually escalated he grew tired of her lack of dedication. He didn’t have to deal with it for long however as she viewed his teachings in a different light and left him at the age of sixteen for the world outside of the temple. Although he wasn’t happy with her choice of lifestyle he still supported her, telling others that she had become a merchant while away from the rest of them. Needless to say he was still bitter about her choice, but he always had a smile on his face when she’d return home for a visit.
